The electro-osmotically modulated hemodynamic across an artery with multiple stenosis is mathematically evaluated. The non-Newtonian behaviour of blood flow is tackled by utilizing Casson fluid model for this flow problem. The blood flow is confined in such arteries due to the presence of stenosis and this theoretical analysis provides the electro-osmotic effects for blood flow through such arteries. The mathematical equations that govern this flow problem are converted into their dimensionless form by using appropriate transformations and then exact mathematical computations are performed by utilizing Mathematica software. The range of the considered parameters is given as (Formula presented.). The graphical results involve combine study of symmetric and non-symmetric structure for multiple stenosis. Joule heating effects are also incorporated in energy equation together with viscous effects. Streamlines are plotted for electro-kinetic parameter (Formula presented.) and flow rate (Formula presented.). The trapping declines in size with incrementing (Formula presented.), for symmetric shape of stenosis. But the size of trapping increases for the non-symmetric case

Study DesignProspective observational study.PurposeTo assess the clinical outcome after early versus late decompression for traumatic cervical cord injury.Overview of LiteratureTraumatic spinal cord injury is common globally with the most tragic outcomes in the cervical spine. Although recent studies have shown that early decompression results in more favourable outcome, its authority is yet to be established.MethodsStudy on 98 patients with a traumatic cervical cord injury was conducted over a period of 5 years. The patients who were operated on within 24 hours of the onset of the primary injury (n=34) were classified as the early group, and those who were operated on after 24 hours of the onset of the injury (n=64) were categorized as the late group. The outcome of both the groups was assessed using the American Spinal Injury Association (ASIA) Impairment Scale (AIS) at the 6-month follow-up.ResultsThe patients in the early group were operated on at a mean time of 18.4 hours (range, 13-24 hours) while patients were operated on at a mean time of 52.7 hours (range, 31-124 hours) in the late group. At the 6-month follow-up, 7 (23.3%) in the early group and 5 (8.7%) in the late group showed >2 grade improvement in the AIS.ConclusionsThe results of patients undergoing decompression within 24 hours of the injury are better than those who are operated on later. An attempt should be made to decompress the traumatic cervical spine early in all possible cases

Over-reliance on digital devices like cell phones, tablets, and iPad, has led to an individual using multiple digital devices the majority of the time when he or she is awake. Multiple device usage leads to an unconscious addictive use of a device that culminates in persistent information overload. This addictive use leads to information overload that continues even when the device is not being used or the individual is sleeping. We seek to explore if a digital detoxification app can remove digital addiction and create an impactful and healthy device usage, resulting in impactful device usage. Researchers have talked about the need for digital detoxification or digital cleansing. The popular remedies available include increased physical activities like yoga and meditation. We propose a digital detoxification model that can be used for mandatory service application of a device or the hedonistic use of an entertainment device. This model will allow individuals to use digital devices to the extent that it does not lead to addiction side effects like technostress, anxiety, insomnia, and information overload, thereby reducing digital addiction. This app will prevent an individual from unnecessarily utilizing the device while promoting optimal use, facilitating digital detoxication, and minimizing digital addiction. The digital detoxification apps will be available from all the publicly available app stores and allow the end-users to develop healthy habits and then detoxify from excessive use of the device. These apps will activate and prevent the end-user from excessively using the device. The individual will identify the safe usage time of the device. The app will activate features like airplane mode to ensure that excessive device usage is prevented and does not lead to digital toxification

Viscous flow between two sinusoidally deforming curved concentric tubes is mathematically investigated for the first time. Exact solutions are computed to analyse the flow between these two tubes and graphical outcomes are included for a thorough analysis of the solutions. The present article has prime applications in endoscopy as a novel peristaltic endoscope is introduced first time for a curved sinusoidal tube. This curved nature of outer sinusoidal tube with a flexible peristaltic endoscope placed inside it covers the topic of practical applications like endoscopy of human organs having curved shapes and the maintenance of complex machineries that involve complex curve structures. The usage of a flexible peristaltic endoscope inside a curved sinusoidal tube makes the process of catheterization more comfortable

GeoChat: Grounded Large Vision-Language Model for Remote Sensing

Recent advancements in Large Vision-Language Models (VLMs) have shown great promise in natural image domains, allowing users to hold a dialogue about given visual content. However, such general-domain VLMs perform poorly for Remote Sensing (RS) scenarios, leading to inaccurate or fabricated information when presented with RS domain-specific queries. Such a behavior emerges due to the unique challenges introduced by RS imagery. For example, to handle high-resolution RS imagery with diverse scale changes across categories and many small objects, region-level reasoning is necessary alongside holistic scene interpretation. Furthermore, the lack of domain-specific multimodal instruction following data as well as strong backbone models for RS make it hard for the models to align their behavior with user queries. To address these limitations, we propose GeoChat - the first versatile remote sensing VLM that offers multitask conversational capabilities with high-resolution RS images. Specifically, GeoChat can not only answer image-level queries but also accepts region inputs to hold region-specific dialogue. Furthermore, it can visually ground objects in its responses by referring to their spatial coordinates. To address the lack of domain-specific datasets, we generate a novel RS multimodal instruction-following dataset by extending image-text pairs from existing diverse RS datasets. We establish a comprehensive benchmark for RS multitask conversations and compare with a number of baseline methods. GeoChat demonstrates robust zero-shot performance on various RS tasks, e.g., image and region captioning, visual question answering, scene classification, visually grounded conversations and referring detection. Scientific breakdown for physiological blood flow inside a tube with multi-thrombosis

    Get PDF
The blood flow inside a tube with multi-thromboses is mathematically investigated. The existence of these multiple thromboses restricts the blood flow in this tube and the flow is revamped by using a catheter. This non-Newtonian blood flow problem is modeled for Jeffrey fluid. The energy equation includes a notable effect of viscous dissipation. We have calculated an exact solution for the developed mathematical governing equations. These mathematical equations are solved directly by using Mathematica software. The graphical outcomes are added to discuss the results in detail. The multiple thromboses with increasing heights are evident in streamline graphs. The sinusoidally advancing wave revealed in the wall shear stress graphs consists of crest and trough with varying amplitude. The existence of multi-thrombosis in this tube is the reason for this distinct amplitude of crest and trough. Further, the viscous dissipation effects come out as a core reason for heat production instead of molecular conduction
