High Spectral Purity, Narrow Linewidth Laser Transmitter for Dial Measurements
A laser transmission with very high degree of spectral purity was described. Amplified Spontaneous Emission (ASE) dependence on the oscillator energy and the detuning away from the gain curve center are demonstrated. The effects of both finite laser linewidth and spectral purity on humidity measurements are experimentally demonstrated
Spin-charge and spin-orbital coupling effects on spin dynamics in ferromagnetic manganites
Correlation-induced spin-charge and spin-orbital coupling effects on spin
dynamics in ferromagnetic manganites are calculated with realistic parameters
in order to provide a quantitative comparison with experimental results for
spin stiffness, magnon dispersion, magnon damping, anomalous zone-boundary
magnon softening, and Curie temperature. The role of orbital degeneracy,
orbital ordering, and orbital correlations on spin dynamics in different doping
regimes is highlighted.Comment: 19 pages, 9 figure
Manufacture of the Futuristic Castable Type of Screening Smoke Composition
The present trend abroad is to replace conventional smoke compositions with castable type of smoke compositions because of superior performance of the latter over the former. The technology of castable screening smokes has been recently developed for the first time in India by the Explosives Research & Development Laboratory, Pune. This paper discusses the various advantages in large scale manufacture of castable type of screening smoke composition. A comparison is also made with the conventional method of manufacture of screening smoke composition currently followed
In vitro salt stress induced production of gymnemic acid in callus cultures of Gymnema sylvestre R.Br.
Gymnema sylvestre, a well known antidiabetic plant, was cultured in vitro for callus induction using leaf explant. Gymnemic acid content enhancement under the influence of different plant hormones like 2,4- D, BA with or without NaCl supplementation to the MS medium is presented in this investigation. The highest efficiency of callus formation was observed in the medium containing different concentrations of 2,4-D. The gymnemic acid content increased with increasing concentration of 2,4-D along with NaCl.Key words: In vitro, Gymnema sylvestre, callus culture, gymnemic acid, salt stress
