This project attempts to discuss the remuneration, employment and VRS in the CPSEs especially at the executive level. This has been discussed in details in different chapters. In the first chapter, the theoretical aspect of the CPSE & their employment, remuneration and VRS policy have been discussed. In the second chapter, the remuneration policies for executives of the CPSEs have been discussed. For this, the recommendations of the first and second Pay Revision Committee (basis of determining remuneration for executives of the CPSEs) have been discussed along with some suggestions for a better implementation. In the third chapter, the employment trend including recruitment and retirement trend of the executive have been analyzed both aggregate and sector wise. During the analysis, some observations were made which have been discussed. In the fourth chapter, an analysis has been done regarding VRS in the CPSEs at the executive level. By using regression line, a relationship between the surplus manpower and VRS have been found which have been also discussed in detail. In the fifth chapter, the relationship between the remuneration policy of the CPSEs & the employment and VRS trend have been analyzed by dividing the CPSEs into Navratnas and Miniratnas & Non-Navratnas and Non-Miniratnas. In the sixth chapter, the future impact of the implementation of 2007 pay revision on the employment of the executives has been discussed especially in the context of the recent slowdown. Finally the conclusion of the whole analysis has been summarized upon in the last chapter.CPSEs, Remuneration, V.R.S., Navaratnas, Miniratnas, Executives

This paper tried to study the impact of remittances on various macroeconomic and developmental aspects for the Indian economy. For this, the data regarding remittances and some of the macroeconomic variables like GDP, PFCE, GDFC, savings, FDI, FII, export, import and balance of trade deficit etc have been analyzed for the period 1971-2008. The study shows that remittances have been consistently increasing at very fast rate for the last 15 years which have significant implications on the above mentioned macroeconomic variables. Through this study, the importance of remittances as a source of external development finance has been discussed. At last, some of the regulatory frameworks governing the flow of remittances have also been discussed.

Biophysical characterisation of LcrH, a class II chaperone of the type III secretion system

The type three-secretion system (T3SS) is a large and complex protein nano-machine that many gram-negative pathogens employ to infect host cells. A key structure of this machine is a proteinaceous pore that inserts into the target membrane and forms a channel for bacterial toxins to flow from bacteria into the host cell. The pore is mainly formed from two large membrane proteins called “translocators”. Importantly, effective secretion and thus pore formation of the translocators depends on their binding to and being transported by small specialized chaperones after synthesis in the bacterial cytosol. Recent crystal structures have shown these chaperones are formed from modular tetratricopeptide repeats (TPRs). However, each crystal structure produced different homodimeric structures, suggesting flexibility in their topology that may be of importance to function. Given the crucial role of the translocator chaperones, we investigated the conformational stability of the chaperone LcrH (Yersinia pestis). Mutational analysis coupled with analytical ultra-centrifugation and equilibrium chemical denaturations showed that LcrH is a weak and thermodynamically unstable dimer (KD ≈ 15 ÎŒM, ΔGH2O = 7.4 kcalmol-1). The modular TPR structure of the dimer allows it to readily unfold in a non-cooperative manner to a one-third unfolded dimeric intermediate (ΔGH2O = 1.7 kcalmol-1), before cooperatively unfolding to a monomeric denatured state (ΔGH2O = 5.7 kcalmol-1). Thus under physiological conditions the chaperone is able to populate C-terminally unravelled partially folded states, whilst being held together by its dimeric interface. Such ability suggests a “fly-casting” mechanism as a route to binding their far larger translocator cargo

Pumps are common engineering devices which have become important sources of power to operate several commercial devices around us. Operation of these devices need complex mechanisms, however there are many novel pumps which exist in nature and operate without any external source of power. In this paper some of these devices have been reviewed. Liquid piston engines also fall in same category of these devices which use pressure fluctuations to pump fluid. Design and Working of these novel pumps has been discussed and future recommendations made to improve the current designs.

The powertrain is the “heart” of a vehicle. It is the singular most expensive and most complex part of every vehicle. The powertrain consists of the engine, intake, and exhaust subsystems, and the transmission and drivetrain systems. The powertrain is one of the major sources of vehicle sounds and vibrations. In general, powertrain vibration and sound sources consist of the following: 1. Engine, including combustion-related sounds and vibrations, reciprocating unbalance, rotating unbalance, crankshaft torsional oscillations, etc; 2. Valve Train system, including valves, cam system, timing belt, or chain; 3. Accessories, including their unbalance and resonance; 4. Intake system and exhaust system vibrations; 5. Driveshaft first-order resonance; 6. Universal joint second-order bending vibrations and torsional vibrations; and 7. Axle vibrations due to gear tooth conjugation error, transmission error, pinion par eccentricity, slip-stick between pinion and ring gear, etc.In this work various sources of noise in an engine have been analyzed.
; 2. sustava razvodnog mehanizma, uključujući ventile, CAM sustav, razvodni remen ili lanac; 3. dodatnu opremu, uključujući i njezinu neravnoteĆŸu i rezonanciju; 4. vibracije usisnog sustava i ispuĆĄnog sustava; 5. rezonancija prvog reda vratila; 6. vibracija savijanja drugog reda kardanskog zgloba i torzijskih vibracija; i 7. vibracije osovine uslijed pogreĆĄke konjugacije zupčanika, pogreĆĄke u prijenosu, zupčanik prema ekscentričnosti, slip-stick gibanje između zupčanika i prstenastog zupčanika
U radu su analizirani različiti izvori buke u motoru

Power DC/DC converters or regulators form the backbone of different portable electronic devices like cellular phones, laptops, portable electronic devices which are using batteries as their power supply. Portable devices usually comprise of several sub-circuits that should be supplied with different voltage levels, which are not the same as battery’s voltage level which is the main supply voltage. A new approach of buck-boost converter is presented in this paper, that automatically detects the zero-inductor current & compels the convertor to deliberately switch from Continuous Conduction Mode (CCM) to Discontinuous Conduction Mode (DCM), once the inductor current attempts towards negative values, restricting the inductor current to approach towards negative value, and thus enhancing the convertor\u27s performance and efficiency at low load conditions. The converter steps down 200 V input voltage to 187 V and steps up to 211 V simultaneously at 100 ℩ load resistance using PSIM software at switching frequency of 100 KHz. The comprehensive analysis of the topology is carried out and the simulated results are compared with the earlier designs at variable loads to verify the performance of the converter

Malnutrition in early life either undernutrition or particularly obesity, can be the underlying cause of many non‐communicable diseases. Nowadays child growth failure phenomena are an enduring public health concern in lower and middle-income countries like India. DBM (Double burden of malnutrition) that is underweight and overweight is also a global concern. Recently, National Family Health Survey (NFHS-5) 2019-21 of India, data reported that 35.5 % of children age less than 5 years are stunted or they are too short for their age; 20% of children are too thin for their height (wasted) and 32% under 5 children are underweight.  The district-level data of nutritional status of children indices were extracted from the district fact sheets of Haryana state, published by NFHS, India. This study is based upon two-time frames of the NFHS (NFHS-4 and NFHS-5) series. District wise change detection of nutritional status of children. Results found that the prevalence of stunted children is still present and increased in 4 districts of Haryana whereas wasted and underweight decreased from previous Survey in all districts of Haryana. As per data reported in the NFHS-5 fact sheet, there are 11 districts in Haryana which shows increased in overweight in children. This study may beneficial for health policy and program makers to understand the dynamic trends of changes in nutritional status of children of under 5 years of age group across the various districts of Haryana.
