A mobile ad hoc network is a communication network created from the group of a number of wireless mobile terminals. Consequently every and each node can be treating as a source, destination or routing node. The network topology alters dynamically. Though a meticulous analysis of performance can provide although about the reasons of performance degradation. Counteractive procedures to those causes might increase the performance. It is necessary to use an appropriate routing protocol base on the network environment. To obtain a valid route among a source and destination node is an imperative concern. In our research we have measured AODV & DSR as the routing protocol for the routine comparison at dissimilar pause time and traffic density. Multipath multicast routing protocol for provisioning of QOS in MANETs. DOI: 10.17762/ijritcc2321-8169.15051

Biotechnology research pattern in four SAARC countries from 2007 to 2016

The study presents the trends in authorship pattern and author collaborative in the Biotechnology research field with the sample of 18119 articles which collected from Scopus database for the year 2007 to 2016. The search string used for data download is same for all country and all data downloaded for each country. The three scientometric tools; Collaboration Coefficient, Authorship pattern and Activity Index have been used for the data analysis. The multi- authorship articles are greater than single authorship. The study found that the researchers in Biotechnology move towards team research or group research rather than solo research. The average Activity Index of four SAARC countries for ten years’ time spam is highest for India and lowest counted for Sri Lanka followed by Pakistan and Bangladesh at the 3rd and 4th place. The international collaboration shows that the United States has taken the top position for India and Sri Lanka, another hand China important for Pakistan and Bangladesh contributed with Japan

Hayavadana & Naga Mandala (Naga Cult of Kerala): Existing Traditions

    Get PDF
The ultimate desire of every human being is to get perfection and people   do not accept reality. Even people want to change their natural physical being into their own imagined self.  Resultantly, remain almost same. Hayavadana majorly talks about this urge of human beings. Nagamandal talks on the traditions of sacrifice and the suppressed desires of human beings. If anything is desired by heart then God helps to fulfill those desires. Rani passes the chastity test by the help of Naga and proves her righteousness though she had physical relation with Naga

Education Enhanced by Information and Communication Technologies

In all facets of human life, knowledge and communication technology (ICTs) are becoming indissoluble entities. The utilization of ICT has profoundly modified the processes and methods of nearly any type of job, policy and public services. ICT have started to participate in education although it hasn't had as much impact as compared to other areas of activity. The transition from environment to new medias and information has increased the importance of Information and Communication Technologies in education and will continue to expand and to evolve in the 21st century. ICT is a vital aspect of the new environment. ICT is an integral feature. Society and culture in fact have to be adapted to the difficulties of era of knowledge. The standard and quantity of schooling in tertiary educational establishments has undeniably influenced ICT. There needs to be a clear emphasis on the numerous constraints on ICT usage as a higher education change agent, such that ICT continues to perform its high position in transforming tertiary institutions

A Performance Metrics Scorecard Based Approach to Intrusion Detection System Evaluation for Wireless Network

    Get PDF
Wireless Intrusion Detection System (IDS) performance metrics are used to measure the ability of a wireless IDS to perform a particular task and to fit within the performance constraints. These metrics measure and evaluate the parameters that impact the performance of a wireless IDS. Wireless IDS analyze wireless specific traffic including scanning for external users trying to connect to the network through access points and play important role in security to the wireless network. Design of wireless IDS is a difficult task as wireless technology is advancing every day, performance metrics can play an important role in the design of efficient wireless IDS by measuring the factors concern with the performance of a wireless IDS. In this paper we provide a performance metrics scorecard based approach to evaluate intrusion detection systems that are currently popular for wireless networks in the commercial sector. We provide a set of performance metrics that are relevant to wireless IDS and use a 201C;scorecard201D; containing the set of values as the centerpiece of testing and evaluating a wireless IDS. Evaluation of a wireless IDS is done by assigning score to various performance metrics concern with wireless IDS. We apply our performance metrics scorecard evaluation based approach to three popular wireless IDS Snort-wireless, AirDefense Guard, and Kismet. Finally we discuss the results and the opportunities for further work in this area

Wireless IDS architectural metrics are used to compare the intended scope, architecture of wireless IDS, and how they match the deployment architecture. A Statistical Analysis of Economic Perceptions in the 2015 United Kingdom General Election

    Get PDF
This paper characterises the vote which took place in the United Kingdom\u27s (U.K.) 2015 General Election as an ‘accountability instrument.’ In doing so, the research interrogates which sections of the electorate hold the incumbent government more accountable for economic outcomes between the 2010 and 2015 U.K. General Elections. The Rational Choice Theory and the Michigan Model are used in this study to present two interlinked, and yet distinct, hypotheses – that less politically informed and non-partisan voters are more likely to hold the government accountable for economic performances; compared to the politically informed and partisan voters within the electorate. Implementing cross-sectional data from the British Election Survey (2015), this paper produces evidence contrary to its first hypothesis, instead illustrating that the politically informed held the government more accountable for economic performances within the 2015 Election. However, the evidence for the second hypothesis is not conclusive due to a high degree of partisan perception bias. Consequently, this paper provides evidence to expand the economic voting literature within the U.K., especially in terms of illustrating the heterogeneity of the economic vote, and evaluating which voters are more likely to hold the government accountable for economic performances following a General Election

ANYWHERE AND EVERYWHERE: Third Cultured Kids and Their ‘Stabilizing Factors’

The purpose of this research is to explore the significance of the Third Culture Kid (TCK) and the impact their ‘stabilizing factors’ or ‘constants’ have on their occupation outcome. Third Culture Kid is a term used for people who have travelled and lived in many different countries during their development years. Within that definition there are other subgroups such as: Bi/multi-cultural and/or bi/multi-racial families, immigrants, international adoptees, refugees and Domestic TCKs or CCKs. Ever since the term was first coined by Ruth Hill Useem, a sociologist, in the early 50s, there have been more and more families having the TCK experience due to the world becoming more globalized. Stabilizing factors or constants is a state of mind where one feels connected and is a part of something bigger than he or she is. This is important to study because TCKs do not have a city, town, people whom have been there whilst they were growing up (apart from the parents) during their lifetime. The constants they form within their lifetime (friends, teachers, hobbies, different cultures) become that city, town or people that they did not have before. These constants eventually help pave way for their career choices. For this study there was inputs from seven TCKs, two non-TCKs, one CCK, three international educators, three governmental officials, and one former refugee. In a constantly changing environment TCKs need something to ground themselves. From the interviews and questionnaires conducted themes of TCKs, international education, friends, cultural assimilation/adjustment, ‘Constants’, and the job opportunities for TCKs came up. All the TCKs’ ‘stabilizing factors’ have some say on their job outcome, directly or indirectly. The most common ‘stabilizing factors’ which were found were the parents of TCKs
