    Illocutionary Force in the Novel Darkest Hour by Cleo Virginia Andrews

    One aim of this article is to show through concrete examples about how Illocutionary Force used in Novel Darkest Hour By Cleo Virginia Andrews. The research are to describe the six types of illocutionary force in Cleo Virginia Andrews\u27s Darkest Hour to derive the most dominant type of illocutionary force, to explain the meaning of illocutionary force and to analyze the implication of that dominant the six types of illocutionary force to the novel itself. This study applied descriptive qualitative method. They were taken randomly and found 108 the types of illocutionary force; Asserting (21,29 %), Promising (13,89 %), Excomunicating ( 12,04%), Exclaiming in pain (15,74 %), Inquiring (11,11 %), and Ordering (25,92%) occurs in the novel. It was found that the most dominant type of illocutionary force that is used in Cleo Virginia Andrews\u27s Darkest Hour is Ordering for expressing what the speaker wants (25,92%). This implies that the Ordering for expressing what the speaker wants play a great role in the novel. It means that wishes as expression of speaker\u27s desire or wants in order to expect it becomes a reality can be characteristic of the novel in case of applying order to express of Illocutionary Force within utterances

    Learning activity in Kinder Garden (TK) has never get out of music activity, although in general only singing activity. As one of learning media form, the children songs can be exploited to teach a various development area, including in it development language ability. Language ability is related to the song lyric. Based on that, the research contains about the developing theme learning of kids songs in kindergarten. This research is done with qualitative research. While research location determined randomly. The data was collected by interview, questionnaire, observation, and documentation. The data analysis is done by developing case description, that the process is data reduction, data categorization, and interpretation of data (verification / withdrawal of conclusion). Base of the observation, we know that the teachers in both of kindergarten (TK) becoming research location used the children songs as learning media of Indonesian vocabulary. Children songs as learning media of Indonesian vocabulary was assumed beside can facilitate vocabulary learning, multiply words knowledge and enrich children Language expression, also can used as learning media that support message of learning material, so children as learner can understand the contain of material learning and make learning process become more pleasant. Sometimes teachers get difficulties in choosing the songs of theme learning that consist of eleven songs. The real difficulty was found when teacher try to create songs and their lyrics. They can not find easily some matching words to built a song that according to learning material. Others difficulties are to match the phrases with the song melody, to match the syllables of the words with song melody and song sentence. In other side, melody, teachers difficulty are in the problem of ability to determine high or lower tone, tone value, and writing of song notation. Base of the research result, we suggest that institutes related to the early childhood education can continue the theme learning by plan and develop the training for teachers

    STATUS RESISTENSI LARVA Aedes aegypti (Linnaeus) TERHADAP TEMEPHOS (STUDI DI KELURAHAN JATIASIH KECAMATAN JATIASIH KOTA BEKASI PROVINSI JAWA BARAT)

    Larvasida temephos telah sejak lama digunakan dalam pengendalian vektor Demam Berdarah Dengue (DBD) Aedes aegypti. Penggunaan insektisida dalam waktu yang lama dan terus menerus dapat meningkatkan kejadian resistensi insektisida tersebut. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui status resistensi larva Ae. aegypti di Kelurahan Jatiasih Kecamatan Jatiasih Kota Bekasi terhadap temephos. Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian eksperimen murni ( True Experiment ) dengan rancangan postes dengan kelompok kontrol ( Postest Only Control Group Design ) dengan sampel penelitian larva Ae. aegypti instar III dan awal instar IV hasil pemeliharaan larva generasi pertama dari larva hasil survei. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan persentase kematian larva Ae. aegypti dari Kelurahan Jatiasih terhadap temephos dengan menggunakan konsentrasi 0,0025 mg/l; 0,005 mg/l; 0,01 mg/l; 0,02 mg/l; 0,04 mg/l dan 0,08 mg/l. Berdasarkan kategori konsentrasi yang dianjurkan WHO sebesar 0,02 mg/l menunjukkan bahwa Kelurahan Jatiasih Kecamatan Jatiasih Kota Bekasi masih rentan terhadap temephos dengan kematian larva Ae. aegypti sebesar 98%. Analisis data yang diuji menggunakan uji Kruskall Wallis dan uji post hoc Mann Whitney Test untuk mengetahui adanya perbedaan pada tiap konsentrasi. Pada uji Kruskall Wallis diperoleh nilai 0.001 (p<0.05) artinya terdapat perbedaan rata – rata kematian larva Ae. aegypti terhadap berbagai konsentrasi temephos. Berdasarkan analisis probit, menunjukkan bahwa konsentrasi temephos yang efektif membunuh 50% dan 99% larva (Lethal Concentration/LC) 24 jam berturut – turut adalah 0,018 mg/l dan 0,146 mg/l. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah temephos masih layak digunakan sebagai larvasida dalam pengendalian vektor di Kelurahan Jatiasih Kecamatan Jatiasih Kota Bekasi.     THE IMPLEMENTATION OF OUTLINE TECHNIQUE TO TEACH WRITING RECOUNT TEXT TO EIGHTH GRADERS OF SMP NEGERI 43 SURABAYA

    Abstrak Penelitian ini dilaksanakan untuk mengetahui bagaimana siswa SMP Negeri 43 menggunakan outline dan kemampuan menulis mereka setelah menggunakan outline. Namun, sulit bagi siswa untuk mencapai target pembelajaran. Untuk menyelesaikan masalah ini, guru harus memiliki kegiatan yang kreatif, dan menggunakan teknik outline dapat digunakan sebagai teknik pembelajaran alternatif yang akan membuat siswa lebih menikmati kegiatan menulis. Dalam penelitian ini, menggunakan outline merupakan teknik yang disarankan untuk mengajar menulis teks recount. Maka, terdapat beberapa hal yang akan dianalisa: 1) Bagaimana guru mengimplementasikan outline untuk mengajar teks recount pada siswa kelas delapan di SMP Negeri 43 Surabaya? 2) Bagaiamana kemampuan siswa dalam menulis teks recount setelah penggunaan outline? 3) Bagaiaman respon siswa dalam kegiatan menulis teks recount setelah implementasi outline?. Berkaitan dengan rumusan masalah tersebut, penelitian ini dilakukan secara kualitatif dan hasil penelitian dijelaskan dalam bentuk kata-kata. Selain itu, data dikumpulkan melalui catatan lapangan, wawancara, dan tugas menulis siswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam tiga observasi di SMP Negeri 43 Surabaya untuk mengetahui implementasi penggunaan outline untuk mengajar menulis teks recount pada siswa kelas delapan dan kemampuan siswa setelah penggunaan outline. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa siswa menggunakan outline untuk mengarahkan siswa dalam menulis. Implementasi penggunaan outline dapat menstimulasi ide siswa. Hal ini juga dapat meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam menulis paragraf teks recount yang baik dengan menggunakan bahasa mereka sendiri. Berdasarkan tugas menulis siswa dalam observasi, dapat dilihat bahwa banyak siswa yang telah memenuhi kriteria menulis teks recount karena mereka telah memahami materi dengan baik. Kemampuan menulis siswa menjadi lebih baik setelah implementasi teknik outline. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari tugas menulis siswa. Guru mengarahkan siswa menulis teks recount dengan menggunakan teknik outline dengan baik. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa outine dapat digunakan untuk mengajar kemampuan menulis teks recount. Dealing with those questions, this study was conducted qualitatively so that the result would be described in the form of words. Moreover, the data were collected through field note, interview, and students&rsquo; task in writing. This study was done during three observations in SMP Negeri 43 Surabaya to find out the implementation of using outline to teach writing recount text for the eighth graders and the students&rsquo; ability after being taught by using this technique. The result of the study revealed that the students used outline to guide the students to write their ability in writing. The implementation of using outline can stimulate the students&rsquo; idea. It also can make the students&rsquo; ability in making a good paragraph writing of recount text using their own language. Based on the students&rsquo; tasks writing result in the observation, it could be seen that there were many students who had already fulfilled the criteria of writing recount text since they master their material well. The students&rsquo; ability gets better after the implementation of using outline. It could be seen from their task in writing. The teacher also was quite good when guiding the students to use outline as their way in writing recount text. In short, using outline can be implemented to teach writing recount text.     Hubungan Status Gizi Ibu Nifas Dengan Penyembuhan Luka Perineum

    Latar Belakang: Kejadian ruptur perineum pada ibu bersalin di dunia pada tahun 2015 terdapat 2,7 juta kasus, dimana angka ini diperkirakan akan mencapai 6,3 juta pada tahun 2050.Tujuan: untuk mengetahui hubungan status gizi dan pemulihan luka perineum. Metode:Penelitian ini menggunakan desain cross sectional study. Penelitian dilakukan di Puskesmas Bagan Asahan Kec. Bagan Asahan Kab. Asahan dengan jumlah sampel 15 orang dan diambil secara Total Sampling. Analisis data menggunakan uji Cgi-square. Hasil:Hubungan antara vaiabel dikatakan bermakna jika p-value &lt; 0,05.Dengan menggunakan metode pengukuran LILA dan IMT dperoleh hasil hampir semua ibu nifas memiliki status gizi yang baik (87,6%) dan luka perineumnya mengalami pemulihan. Terdapat hubungan antara status gizi ibu nifas dengan pemulihan luka perineum (p&lt;0,05). Terdapat hubungan antara hubungan status gizi dan pemulihan luka perineum. Saran:Diharapkan tenaga kesehatan dapat memberikan pendidikan kesehatan yang lebih banyak kepada ibu nifas mengenai pemenuhan zat gizi selama masa nifas agar mempercepat pemulihan status gizi. Background: The incidence of perineal rupture in childbirth in the world in 2015 there were 2.7 million cases, where this figure is estimated to reach 6.3 million in 2050. Objective: To determine the relationship between nutritional status and perineal wound recovery. Methods: This study used a cross sectional study design. The research was conducted at the Bagan Asahan Health Center, Kec. District Asahan Chart. Asahan with a sample of 15 people and taken by Total Sampling. Data analysis using Cgi-square test. Result: The relationship between variables is said to be significant if the p-value &lt;0.05. By using the LILA and BMI measurement methods, almost all postpartum mothers have good nutritional status (87.6%) and their perineal wounds have recovered. There is a relationship between the nutritional status of postpartum mothers with perineal wound recovery (p&lt;0.05). There is a relationship between nutritional status and perineal wound recovery. Suggestion: It is hoped that health workers can provide more health education to postpartum mothers regarding the fulfillment of nutrients during the postpartum period in order to accelerate the recovery of nutritional status

    Texture Features Extraction of Human Leather Ports Based on Histogram

    Skin problems general are distinguished on healthy and unhealthy skin. Based on the pores, unhealthy skin: dry, moist or oily skin. Skin problems are identified from the image capture results. Skin image is processed using histogram method which aim to get skin type pattern. The study used 7 images classified by skin type, determined histogram, then extracted with features of average intensity, contrast, slope, energy, entropy and subtlety. Specified skin type reference as a skin test comparator. The histogram-based skin feature feature aims to determine the pattern of pore classification of human skin. The results of the 1, 2, 3 leaf image testing were lean to normal skin (43%), 4, 5, tends to dry skin (29%), 6.7 tend to oily skin (29%). Percentage of feature-based extraction of histogram in image processing reaches 90-95%

    Penentuan Karyawan Lembur dengan Metode Analytical Hierarchy Process (Ahp)

    Kerja lembur merupakan bagian rencana proyek yang dimaksudkan untuk menyelesaikan proses produksi yang tidak mungkin diselesaikan dalam hari kerja biasa/normal shift. Pekerjaan lembur harus diimbangi dengan kesiapan faktor-faktor penunjang antara lain tenaga kerja (karyawan), material dan alat kerja yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan pekerjaan tersebut. Untuk mengatasi faktor-faktor penunjang ini diperlukan pembiayaan pembayaran tenaga kerja (upah). Permasalahan yang muncul ketika menentukan lembur karyawan adalah pengaruh kerja lembur terhadap produktivitas kerja serta kondisi karyawan dalam melaksanakan tugas lembur. Cara menentukan lembur bagi karyawan akan menggunakan Metode AHP (Analytical Hierarchy Process). Indikator yang dipergunakan dalam penentuan lembur karyawan menjadi kriteria dalam pembobotan. Indikator penentuan karyawan lembur terdiri dari tiga kriteria yaitu sikap, kemampuan dan kontribusi. Output utama dari sistem, memuat alternatif yang memiliki bobot paling tinggi sehingga diperoleh nama karyawan yang harus lembur untuk memenuhi kebutuhan Perusahaan. Keunggulan Metode AHP adalah mempermudah menghitung kriteria kinerja berdasarkan pertimbangan prioritas yang dapat mempermudah dalam penentuan karyawan lembur
