A comparison of two magnetic ultra-cold neutron trapping concepts using a Halbach-octupole array

This paper describes a new magnetic trap for ultra-cold neutrons (UCNs) made from a 1.2 m long Halbach-octupole array of permanent magnets with an inner bore radius of 47 mm combined with an assembly of superconducting end coils and bias field solenoid. The use of the trap in a vertical, magneto-gravitational and a horizontal setup are compared in terms of the effective volume and ability to control key systematic effects that need to be addressed in high precision neutron lifetime measurements

Persaingan Obat Produk Industri di Pekanbaru

The research was conducted in the city of Pekanbaru to consumer products of drugs manufactures. This study aims to determine the factors that influence the level competition for drugs industries products in Pekanbaru. The population numbered 937,939 people and a sample of 100 people was determined by the method Slovin. The data used in the Secondary and Primary Data obtained from PT. BERNOFARM-PKU,PT. KIMIA FARMA-PKU, the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) Riau and questionnaires. The analysis method used is descriptive analysis using ordinal scale (Likert Scale) to classify the measured variables in order to avoid errors in determining the outcome of the data. The results showed that the partial variable consumer tastes which consists of the brand, quality, future expectation, packaging and labels, the price of the item itself and the price of other goods greatly affect the city of Pekanbaru in selecting medicine products they use. While consumer income variable does not affect the demand of drugs for people In the city of Pekanbaru. Based on these results it is suggested to the company to keep value of brand equity, quality, reasonable prices and promotions are always held. Besides, it is also expected the company to expand sales outlets drugs product so consumers have no difficulty in finding the products they are looking for. Thus, consumer loyalty to use one brand of drugs it will remain intact.Keywords: Brand Equity, Quality, Future Expectations, packaging and labels

Corrosion Behaviour of Short Basalt Fiber Reinforced with Al7075 Metal Matrix Composites in Sodium Chloride Alkaline Medium

The aim of the research work was to investigate the corrosion behaviour of basalt short fiber reinforced aluminum metal matrix composites (MMCs) in alkaline solution using weight loss method. The Al/basalt MMCs contains basalt short fiber from 2.5 to 10 % in steps of 2.5 wt. % and fabricated using liquid metallurgy technique. The corrosion characteristics of Al/basalt short fiber composite and the unreinforced alloy were experimentally assessed. The corrosion test was carried out at different temperatures in mixture of sodium-chloride alkaline solution at a concentration of 1N, 2N & 3N for different exposure time were subjected to corrosive media to evaluate their corrosion resistance. The results indicated that corrosion rate of metal matrix composites was lower than that of matrix material Al 7075 under the corrosive atmosphere for both unheat treated and heat treated conditions. Al/basalt short fiber composite become more corrosion prone as the basalt short fiber content is increased, and the corrosion rate in sodium chloride alkaline decreases with time, probably because of the formation of stable oxide layer over the specimens. Analisis Asam Lemak Ikan Bandeng (Chanos chanos Forsskal ) Pada Bagian Kepala, Badan, Dan Ekor Dengan Chromatography Gas

Milkfish (Chanos chanos Forsskal ) is a fish that is often consumed by society and have high gizi. To find out components of fatty acids an analyse compounds countained  in head, body and tail  fresh milkfish  (Chanos chanos Forsskal ). This research aim to know composition of fat acid Fresh Bandeng Part Of Head, Body, And Tail. And to find out acid number value, peroxide number, and saponification number. Extraction is done with maceration method use n- Heksan solvent. analysed Compound chemistry component use gas chromathography. The results showed the yield of fat obtained by the head, body and tail of 3,48%; 3,07%; and 3,138%. Acid number of 39,94 mgKOH/g, 42,48 mgKOH/g and 45,32 mgKOH/g, peroxide number of 332,53 mek/kg, 219,15 mek/kg, and 216,62 mek/kg, saponification number of 146,48 mgKOH/g, 64,75 mgKOH/g, 112,73 mgKOH/g and identified squalane and cholesterol compounds in fresh milkfish (Chanos chanos Forsskal ).  Ikan bandeng (Chanos chanos Forsskal) merupakan ikan yang sering dikonsumsi   oleh   masyarakat   dan   memiliki   nilai   gizi   yang   tinggi.   Untuk mengetahui komponen asam lemak dilakukan analisis senyawa yang terkandung dalam kepala, badan dan ekor ikan bandeng. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui komposisi asam lemak ikan bandeng (Chanos chanos Forsskal) segar bagian kepala, badan dan ekor dan untuk mengetahui nilai bilangan asam, bilang peroksida dan bilangan penyabunan. Esktraksi dilakukan dengan metode maserasi menggunakan palarut n-Heksan. Komponen senyawa kimia yang dianalisis menggunakan Kromatografi Gas. Hasil penelitian menujukan  rendemen  lemak  yang  diperoleh  bagian  kepala,  badan  dan  ekor sebesar 3,48%; 3,07%; dan 3,138%. Bilangan asam sebesar 39,94 mgKOH/g, 42,48  mgKOH/g  dan  45,32  mgKOH/g,  bilangan  peroksida  sebesar  332,53 mek/kg, 219,15 mek/kg, dan 216,62 mek/kg, bilangan penyabunan sebesar 146,48 mgKOH/g, 64,75 mgKOH/g, 112,73 mgKOH/g dan teridentifikasi senyawa squalane dan cholesterol pada ikan bandeng (Chanos chanos Forsskal) segar

Investigation on the Influence of Basalt Fiber on Thermal properties of Al7075/ Basalt Fiber Metal Matrix Composites.

This paper reports a study of the Coefficient of Thermal Expansion (CTE) of Al7075/basalt short fiber Metal Matrix Composites (MMCs) as a function of temperature and reinforcement. The percentage of reinforcement was varied from 2.5 to 10 wt. % in steps of 2.5% and the composites were prepared by the liquid metallurgy technique. Using Thermal Mechanical Analyzer (TMA) model DuPont 943 equipment, the changes in the linear dimension as a function of temperature is recorded as Percent Linear Change (PLC). The temperature of the tests ranged from 50 °C to 300 °C in the steps of 5 °C both in the heating and cooling cycles. Mineral Plasma Dan Respons Antibodi Pasca Cekaman Transportasi Pada Domba Dengan Ransum Yang Disuplementasi Seng Dan Minyak Ikan

Seng sangat penting di dalam sistem kekebalan tubuh. Akan tetapi,kandungannya di dalam bahan pakan di Indonesia secara umum rendah. Ternakbanyak mengeluarkan seng melalui urine bila mengalami cekaman transportasi,oleh karena itu kebutuhan seng mungkin meningkat. Penelitian ini bertujuanuntuk melihat mineral plasma dan respons antibodi setelah mengalami cekamantransportasi. Enam belas domba ekor tipis jantan dialokasikan ke dalamRancangan Acak Lengkap dengan menggunakan ransum basal yang memilikikandungan Zn sebesar 22.8 ppm. Perlakuan terdiri atas; ransum basal (R1), R1 +36 ppm Zn (R2), R1 + minyak ikan 1.5% (R3) dan R1 + 36 ppm Zn + minyak ikan1.5% 1.5% (R4). Ternak domba diberi makan dua kali pada jam 08.00 dan 16.00.Masing masing domba divaksinasi dengan Clostridium perfringens pada 41 dan 3hari sebelum transportasi. Ketika ternak mengalami cekaman transportasidiperoleh kondisi fisiologis sebagai berikut : (1) Seng plasma menurun untuksemua perlakuan (2) Kalium dan Mg plasma menurun dan kembali normal padajam ke-88 setelah transportasi (3) Natrium plasma meningkat pada perlakuan Zn+ minyak ikan pada jam ke-40 (4) Suplementasi Zn meningkatkan responsantibodi. Hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa suplementasi Znmeningkatkan kekebalan tubuh dan kadar seng mungkin perlu ditingkatkan lagidalam ransum setelah ternak mengalami cekaman transportasi

This study was conducted based on the results prasurvei that civil servants in performing basictasks and functions indicated yet to reach optimum performance. This is presumably related to theimplementation of policy leadership. Thus, the study aims to "Assessing the impact of policy leadership onwork performance of employees at the Department of Public Works Fak-fak West Papua province. Thisresearch applies descriptive method with quantitative approach. Purposive sample of respondents assignedas many as 73 employees, and data collection techniques distributed questionnaires to obtain primary data,secondary data obtained using the documentation techniques. All data and information obtained throughsurveys and direct observation techniques. After the data is collected, then analyzed by using percentageanalysis (frequency table), followed by product moment correlation analysis and simple linear regression.The results showed that: Mean supervisory leadership and job performance of employees at the Departmentof Public Works Fak-fak, according to the results of research are in the category of "medium" or medium.Supervision leadership has positive and highly significant or significant effect on work performance ofemployees at the Department of Public Works Fak-fak West Papua province. Thus, it can be concluded thatthe supervisory leadership with employee work performance related contributory. If the leadership is moreflexible supervision, it will improve the work performance of employees, particularly at the Department ofPublic Works Fak-fak West Papua Province. To improve the work performance of employees, it issuggested that the leadership gives authority to employees in taking the initiative and operational decisionsto carry out their tasks so that work performance will increase even more
