The paper aims to fill the gap between geological practice on the problem of the recent traces of oceanic cosmic impacts and computational experiment on tsunami geology problem. Computational experiment and numerical analysis data of the oceanic comet impacts could be more effective for mega tsunami understanding and prediction than the traditional geological methods. We explored the depositional traces of large-scale water impact on the coast and modeling of mega tsunami given the steep waves and Mach reflection on the rocky shore and described chevron dunes form on the base of neural network technology to solve the inverse tsunami problem. The ocean impact craters were explored using the wavelet analysis digital data of the ocean bottom.Π‘Ρ‚Π°Ρ‚ΡŒΡ ΠΏΡ€ΠΈΠ·Π²Π°Π½Π° Π·Π°ΠΏΠΎΠ»Π½ΠΈΡ‚ΡŒ ΠΏΡ€ΠΎΠ±Π΅Π» ΠΌΠ΅ΠΆΠ΄Ρƒ гСологичСскими изысканиями ΠΏΠΎ ΠΏΡ€ΠΎΠ±Π»Π΅ΠΌΠ΅ Π½Π΅Π΄Π°Π²Π½ΠΈΡ… Petrogenesis of Glasses and Microlites in Mantle Xenoliths from Baikal-Mongolia Region : a Review

    Get PDF
Petrogenesis of various glasses, microlite assemblages and fluid and melt inclusions in minerals of mantle xenoliths from alkaline volcanics of Baikal-Mongolian region is discussed. Diversity and compositional variations of glasses vary widely and their origin can be addressed to most of previously reported hypotheses. Study of the fluid inclusions indicates that depth of trapping is usually well correlated with the depth of Moho estimated from seismological and petrological data. The density of CO_2 fluid inclusions indicates minimum pressures of their origin of 10-15kbar. Glasses from melt inclusions in minerals of Dzhilinda xenoliths (Vitim flied) can represent direct melts formed by in situ partial melting of peridotite at about 10kbar, the pressure estimated from fluid inclusions, whereas glasses from melt inclusions in minerals of garnet Iherzolite of Bereya Quarry (Vitim flied) can represent melts formed at pressures above 15kbar. The SiO_2 contents of these glasses (51-57 wt.%) are consistent with those of experimental partial melts from low-degree partial melting of peridotite. Origin of SiO_2-rich (up to 74 wt.%) glasses from harzburgite xenoliths is consistent with experimental study by Shaw et al. (1998) indicating that reaction of orthopyroxene with silica-undersaturated melt at ambient pressure results in olivine, clinopyroxene, spinel and intermediate of silicic melt. We describe unusual clinopyroxene-olivine-sanidine symplectites in hightemperature spinel Iherzolites from Burkal locality. Calculated bulk compositions of the symplectites indicate that they can represent breakdown after K-bearing pyroxene solid solution from deep mantle.θ«–

The mitogenome of Elaphe bimaculata (Reptilia: Colubridae) has never been published: a case with the complete mitochondrial genome of E. dione

The steppes ratsnake, Elaphe dione (Pallas, 1773), is widely distributed across Eurasia, but the systematics and phylogeography of this species remain poorly studied. Sequencing of the full mitochondrial genome of this species provides a reference for its further study. Here, we report the full mitochondrial genome of an E. dione specimen from Krasnoyarsk Krai (East Siberia, Russia). We found that it is highly similar to the previously reported mitochondrial genome of the sister species, E. bimaculata. Both species misidentification by the authors of E. bimaculata mitogenome and the introgressive hybridization between these taxa can possibly explain this observation

Portfolio Analysis of Financial Market Risks by Random Set Tools

A new approach to portfolio analysis of financial market risks by random set tools is considered. Despite many attempts, the consistent and global modeling of financial markets remains an open problem. In particular it remains a challenge to find a simple and tractable economic and probabilistic approach to market modeling. This paper attempts to highlight fundamental properties that a market model should possess. The paper suggests a random set approach as a probabilistic base of this model. Using this approach it is possible to establish a corresponding interactive market dynamics that involves a minimal number of sets. These sets include the set of capital surpluses, the set of capital within assets and the set of capital deficits. Several interesting properties related to random volatility of assets quality, probabilities of quality categories and defaults and matrices of transition probabilities of switching among categories can be derived. In addition the random set approach allows to derive the so called transition set-matrices, random set invariants of capital redistribution processes. Empirical evidence will be given that confirm these random set findings. The approach is also illustrated by collapses in U.S. financial markets in 90's and can be used to explain Russian default'98

Effect of Substrate on Bottom-Up Fabrication and Electronic Properties of Graphene Nanoribbons

Taking into account the technological demand for the controlled preparation of atomically precise graphene nanoribbons (GNRs) with well-defined properties, the present thesis is focused on the investigation of the role of the underlying metal substrate in the process of building GNRs using bottom-up strategy and on the changes in the electronic structure of GNRs induced by the GNR-metal interaction. The combination of surface sensitive synchrotron-radiation-based spectroscopic techniques and scanning tunneling microscopy with in situ sample preparation allowed to trace evolution of the structural and electronic properties of the investigated systems. Significant impact of the substrate activity on the growth dynamics of armchair GNRs of width N = 7 (7-AGNRs) prepared on inert Au(111) and active Cu(111) was demonstrated. It was shown that unlike inert Au(111) substrate, the mechanism of GNRs formation on Ag(111) and Cu(111) includes the formation of organometallic intermediates based on the carbon-metal-carbon bonds. Experiments performed on Cu(111) and Cu(110), showed that a change of the balance between molecular diffusion and intermolecular interaction significantly affects the on-surface reaction mechanism making it impossible to grow GNRs on Cu(110). It was demonstrated that deposition of metals on spatially aligned GNRs prepared on stepped Au(788) substrate allows to investigate GNR-metal interaction using angle-resolved photoelectron spectroscopy. In particular intercalation of one monolayer of copper beneath 7-AGNRs leads to significant electron injection into the nanoribbons, indicating that charge doping by metal contacts must be taken into account when designing GNR/electrode systems. Alloying of intercalated copper with gold substrate upon post-annealing at 200Β°C leads to a recovery of the initial position of GNR-related bands with respect to the Fermi level, thus proving tunability of the induced n-doping. Contrary, changes in the electronic structure of 7-AGNRs induced by the deposition of Li are not reversible.Β  It is demonstrated that via lithium doping 7-AGNRs can be transformed from a semiconductor into a metal state due to the partial filling of the conduction band. The band gap of Li-doped GNRs is reduced and the effective mass of the conduction band carriers is increased

SEMANTIC SPACE OF DICTEM IN THE TEXT OF FOLKLORE FAIRY TALE

    No full text
The article presents the results of the research of semantic structure of the fairy tale carried out by means of decomposing the semantics of the verb-concept, which potentially represents the dictem, into elementary components. The semantic universals, as fundamental human concepts, are considered as the basis for constructing "the natural semantic metalanguage" which makes it possible to describe the meanings transferred by means of one language using the means of any other language. It is revealed that the lexical meanings of verbs-concepts representing dictems with the titles "A-Harming" and "L-Elimination" which, in turn, form the occurseme, can be represented in the French and Russian fairy tale by the same semes. The author characterizes the technique of modeling the dictem's thematic field in the text of folklore fairy tale. The calculation of logical concepts is carried out on the basis of the analysis of verbs which potentially form the dictem in Russian fairy tale. The concepts realized in certain word meanings correlate to French verbs; then their semantic features described in French come to light and the last are represented in the form of semantic multipliers in Russian. Thus, the authors reconstruct the natural semantic metalanguage allowing to describe the French fairy tale by means of Russian language. Taking into account the data (quantity of semantic features, quantity of their elementary meanings and the distance between the center of dictem's semantic space and periphery units) as characteristics of coordinates (X, Y, Z), the authors create the graphic model of the semantic space of two dictems located in dialogical unity and forming the occurseme. The research shows that there is general semantic space of the fairy tale which forms a certain continuum, separate pieces of which will represent the semantic field of a dictem
