    Constructing Eh-pH Diagrams of Plutonium by Using Its Thermodynamics Properties

    ABSTRACT Eh-pH diagrams of Plutonium under standard temperature and pressure (STP) condition are constructed. The stability domain of water is described based on redox reaction of water with oxygen and hydrogen. Two pair lines which are almost paralel to each other are found. Redox reaction of Plutonium poduces four Nerst equations; each equation is represented by one line and one vertical line as a result of non redox reaction. The length of each line depends on other lines. There are two pair lines which are overlapped each other if the concentration of each species equals to 10-9 M. It is also described Eh-pH diagrams for Plutonium with different concentrations. ABSTRAK Telah dibuat diagram Eh-pH Plutonium di dalam udara dengan tekanan dan suhu standar. Daerah stabilitas air ditentukan berdasarkan reaksi redoks air - oksigen dan air - hidrogen. Didapatkan dua pasang garis lurus yang hampir sejajar satu sama lain. Reaksi redoks dari Plutonium menghasilkan 4 persamaan Nerst, tiap persamaan digambarkan dalam bentuk garis dan satu garis tegak akibat reaksi non redoks. Panjang setiap garis sangat bergantung pada garis - garis lainnya. Didapatkan dua pasangan garis yang saling tumpang - tindih kalau konsentrasi masing-masing spesiesnya sama dengan 10-9 M. Based on a partial analysis, transformational leadership, work motivation, job satisfaction have a positive and significant influence on employee performance at PT. Mega Bintang Mas Indonesia Medan. Simultaneously, transformational leadership, work motivation, job satisfaction have a positive and significant effect on employee performance at PT. Mega Bintang Mas Indonesia Medan. The contribution of transformational leadership variables, work motivation, job satisfaction to improve employee performance variables amounted to 0.566 or 56.6%, while the remaining 0.434 or 43.4% is influenced by other variables that are not examined by writer in this research, such as work environment, compensation, culture, and so on

    The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of work discipline, compensation and organizational culture on employee performance at PT. Panca Putra Gilang Mandiri Medan. This research was conducted at PT. Panca Putra Gilang Mandiri Medan starts from April 2021 to August 2021. The population of this research is as many as 87 people, namely all employees who work at PT. Panca Putra Gilang Mandiri. The sample of this research is all employees of PT. Panca Putra Gilang Mandiri, totaling 87 people. This study uses the sensu method. The instrument used is a questionnaire to collect research data from the variables of work discipline, compensation, organizational culture and employee performance. The data analysis technique used is validity test, reliability test, research description analysis, normality test, multicollinearity test, heteroscedasticity test, multiple linear regression analysis, partial hypothesis test or t test, simultaneous hypothesis test or F test and coefficient of determination. The results of the descriptive analysis for work discipline, compensation and organizational culture are in the fairly good category , while the employee performance is in a good category. From the partial analysis, work discipline, compensation and organizational culture have a positive and significant effect on employee performance. From the simultaneous analysis of work discipline, compensation and organizational culture have a positive and significant effect on employee performance. The contribution of work discipline, compensation and organizational culture variables in improving employee performance variables was 65.9%, while the remaining 34.1% of employee performance variables were explained by other variables that were not included in the study such as recruitment, employee loyalty and so on

    The purpose of this study is to analyze the application of theory of reasoned action in predicting consumer behavior to buy a Motorcycles Yamaha Vixion. Objective to investigate the influence of consumer confidence and the evaluation will result in a partial and simultaneous on consumer attitudes, to determine the effect of normative beliefs and motivations of consumers and simultaneously to partially subjective norms, to determine the effect of consumer attitudes and subjective norms, and simultaneous partial to behaveor interests . The benefits of research to provide inputs for the company in formulating and developing marketing strategies. to contribute to other researchers in the development of the theory of consumer behavior developed by Ajzen and M. Fishbein. Total sample of 142 respondents, the type of data used primary and secondary data and data collection tools and documentation koesioner. Data analysis tools used multiple regression. The results showed consumer confidence coefficient and evaluation will have value positive effect on consumer attitudes, normative beliefs and motivation variables consumers have a positive value on subjective norms, as well as variables in consumer attitudes and subjective norms have positive value to the interest behaveor. Based on t test and F test showed that consumer confidence and the evaluation will have a significant effect partially and simultaneously on consumer attitudes, normative belief and motivation of consumers having a significant effect on partial and simultaneous subjective norms, consumer attitudes and subjective norms have an influence significant and simultaneous partial to behave interest to buy a motorcycle Yamaha Vixion

    ABSTRACT Analysis of 0/U ratio in unirradiated and irradiated uranium oxide were carried out by using polarography and spectrophotometry method. Some samples of uranium oxide (UO7+ x) were irradiated in reaktor Kartini having neutron flux of 5 10I°n cm 2 s for 314, 2, 3 and 4 hours, and cooled for. 3 months. Irradiated samples UO2+ x then were dissolved in mixture of sulfuric, boric, fluoric acid and ammonium fluoride and heated for 25 minutes. The solution obtained were \u27analyzed with polarography from 0 V nm - 0.241 V and with spectrophotometry method at 420 nm and 665 nm for U(VI) and U(IV) respectively. It was found that the difference result between polarography and spectrophotometry method was significant from statistically point of view

The research subject was conducted on employees of the production division of PT. United Rope Medan with a population of 577 people. The research have 236 sample using simple random sampling method.The instrument used is a questionnaire to collect data from the variables of leadership, communication and work environment and employee job satisfaction. The data analysis technique used is validity test, reliability test, descriptive analysis, normality test, multicollinearity test, heteroscedasticity test, multiple linear regression analysis, T test, F test and coefficient of determination test. The results of the analysis in the variables of leadership, communication and work environment in the very good category, while the variable job satisfaction in the very good category. The results of the analysis for the variables of leadership, communication, work environment and employee job satisfaction are in the very good category at PT. United Rope Medan. Based on the partial analysis, leadership have a positive and significant influence on job satisfaction, communication have a positive and significant influence on job satisfaction and work environment have a positive and significant influence on job satisfaction. Based on the simultan analysis, leadership, communication and work environment have a positive and significant influence on job satisfaction of production employees at PT. United Rope Medan. The contribution of leadership, communication and work environment to increase job satisfaction variable is 0.821 or 82.1%, while the remaining 0.179 or 17.9% is influenced by other variables not examined in this study such as career path, work conflict, work motivation and others. etc

    ABSTRAK Diterangkan kelemahan sistem pelarutan cuplikan dengan metoda konvesional: membutuhkan waktu yang cukup banyak, merusak lingkungan, dan membutuhkan banyak perhatian selama pelarutan dilakukan, memerlukan lemari asam khusus untuk cuplikan biologi dan dan botani. Sebaliknya pelarutan cuplikan padat dengan metoda maju (tungku microwave) hanya membutuhkan waktu yang singkat, tidak merusak lingkungan, dan tidak membutuhkan banyak perhatian. ABSTRACT It is clarified that the weakness of conventional method in sample dissolution are time consuming, environmental destruction, and it requires a lot of attention during dissolution, as well as a need of a special fumes hood for biological and botanical samples.     AN IMPROVEMENT OF GRAPHITE ROD ELECTRODE OF USED PRIMARY CELL FOR ANALYZING BORON AND CADMIUM IN THORIUM OXIDE USING EMISSION SPECTROGRAPH METHOD

    ABSTRACT AN IMPROVEMENT OF USED PRIMARY CELL GRAPHITE ROD ELECTRODE FOR ANALYZING BORON AND CADMIUM IN THORIUM OXIDE USING EMISSION SPECTROGRAPH METHOD. Analysis of boron and cadmium in synthetic thorium oxide fuel using emission spectrograph method was carried out. Used primary cell graphite rod electrodes (UPCGREs) receiving (chemical and physical) treatment and standard electrodes (Spex) were used as an electrode in the emission spectrograph method. The graphite rod electrodes of used primary cells comprised 50 graphite rod electrodes soaked in water for 2 weeks, 50 graphite rod electrodes soaked in 0.1 N nitric acid for 1 week (chemical treatment), and 50 graphite rod electrodes heated in an oven at 300 °C for 2 hours (physical treatment). Pure thorium oxide was obtained synthetically through thorium nitrate solution extraction using organic solution TBP-kerosene, followed by stripping, drying and calcination. Standards were made from a mixture of synthetic thorium oxide, CdO and H3BO3, and distillation carrier. 100 mg of standards was introduced into the hole of the chemically and physically treated sample-carrying electrodes as well as the standard electrodes (Spex). The operating condition was established using a current of 10 A, an excitation time of 25 seconds, and a gap of 4 mm between electrodes. It was found that when the chemically treated UPCGREs were used as an electrode, the relationship between the concentration and the intensity of boron and cadmium was not in order. Meanwhile, when the physically treated UPCGREs were used as an electrode, the relationship between the concentration and the intensity of boron and cadmium in thorium oxide was linear, therefore it could be used as a calibration curve. It was discovered that the calibration curve of the standard electrodes (Spex) was more sensitive than the calibration curve of the physically treated UPCGREs. However, the calibration curve for boron and cadmium of the standard electrodes (Spex) contained higher background. Therefore, for thorium oxide having low concentrations of boron and cadmium, the use of the physically treated UPCGREs was more favorable than the standard electrodes (Spex). Telah dilakukan analisis boron dan kadmium di dalam bahan bakar nuklir torium oksida sintesis dengan menggunakan metode spektrograf emisi. Batang elektrode grafit batu baterai bekas setelah perlakuan (secara kimia dan fisika) dan elektrode standar (Spex) sebagai pembanding digunakan untuk elektrode pada metode spektrograf emisi. Batang elektrode grafit dari batu baterai yang digunakan mencakup 50 batang elektrode grafit yang direndam dalam air selama 2 minggu, 50 batang elektrode grafit yang direndam dalam 0,1 N asam nitrat selama 1 minggu (secara kimia), dan 50 batang elektrode grafit yang dipanaskan dalam tungku pada suhu 300 °C selama 2 jam (secara fisika). Torium oksida murni disintesis melalui ekstraksi larutan torium nitrat dengan menggunakan larutan organik TBP-kerosin, diikuti stripping, pengeringan dan kalsinasi. Standar dibuat dari campuran torium oksida sintesis dengan CdO dan H3BO3, serta campuran pengemban sulingan. 100 mg standar dimasukkan ke dalam lubang elektrode standar (Spex), maupun elektrode hasil metode kimia dan fisika. Kondisi operasi untuk semua percobaan adalah arus 10 A dengan waktu eksitasi 25 detik dan jarak antar elektrode 4 mm. Hasil percobaan menunjukkan bahwa hubungan antara konsentrasi dan intensitas boron serta kadmium di dalam torium oksida dengan elektrode yang dibuat dengan metode kimia tidak teratur. Sementara itu hubungan antara konsentrasi dan intensitas boron serta kadmium di dalam torium oksida dengan elektrode yang dibuat dengan metode fisika merupakan garis linear yang dapat digunakan sebagai kurva kalibrasi. Adapun kurva kalibrasi boron dan kadmium dengan menggunakan elektrode standar (Spex) masih lebih sensitif dibandingkan dengan elektrode yang diperoleh metode fisika. Akan tetapi latar elektrode standar (Spex) lebih tinggi daripada elektrode yang diperoleh dengan metode fisika. Oleh karena itu untuk torium oksida dengan konsentrasi boron dan kadmium yang rendah lebih baik digunakan elektrode yang diperoleh metode fisika daripada elektrode standar (Spex).
