DAILY OF THE ENROLLED CARRIERS OF TUBERCULOSIS IN PROGRAM OF TREATMENT OF A UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL IN THE CITY OF RIO DE JANEIRO

Objective: To analyze the existential daily life of the patient in treatment in pulmonary tuberculosis, taking like base his history of life. Method: Qualitative study. There was used the phenomenology of Heidegger. There were interviewed eleven patients registered in the Program of Control of Tuberculosis Hospital of a university hospital of the Rio of January. Results: The analysis hermeneutic was revealed what the patient shows off in the way of being of the daily life with fear and anguish of infecting his relatives and one feels marked by the stigma in his community. Conclusion: We end that in the perspective of the treatment of pulmonary tuberculosis the presence of the team of the program develops the emergence of the being with other in the movement ex-sistencial and that this way of being favors during the validity of the treatment, the overcoming of the difficulties of the daily life of the patients who live in his time and own space, the expectation of being cured. O SENTIMENTO DE FINITUDE DO PORTADOR DE TUBERCULOSE PULMONAR, NO ATO DE CUIDAR NA TERAPIA OCUPACIONAL

Objective: To analyze the contribution of occupational therapy adherence to tuberculosis treatment, and identify strategies to facilitate the linkage to treatment. Method: Qualitative study. We obtain data through Creativity Workshops. Participated in the workshops eleven customers with pulmonary tuberculosis, which carried out the activity of collage. We use the method of content analysis of Bardin, who works with the universe of meanings, to uncover the beliefs and values of the subjects in this study. Results: Occupational therapy favored the disclosure of blocked content and enabled the flowering of the nuclei of aggression, rebellion, stress, dependency, control and finitude, which were in the unconscious of each participant. Conclusion: Occupational Therapy through the Creativity Workshop has benefited: the act out of feelings, compliance, facilitated the relief of emotional stress, increased self-esteem and provided better quality of life. Conclusão: A Terapia Ocupacional por meio da Oficina de Criatividade beneficiou: o exteriorizar de sentimentos, adesão ao tratamento, facilitou o alívio da tensão emocional, aumentou da auto-estima e proporcionou melhoria da qualidade de vida. Impact of COVID-19 on cardiovascular testing in the United States versus the rest of the world

Objectives: This study sought to quantify and compare the decline in volumes of cardiovascular procedures between the United States and non-US institutions during the early phase of the coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. Background: The COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted the care of many non-COVID-19 illnesses. Reductions in diagnostic cardiovascular testing around the world have led to concerns over the implications of reduced testing for cardiovascular disease (CVD) morbidity and mortality. Methods: Data were submitted to the INCAPS-COVID (International Atomic Energy Agency Non-Invasive Cardiology Protocols Study of COVID-19), a multinational registry comprising 909 institutions in 108 countries (including 155 facilities in 40 U.S. states), assessing the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on volumes of diagnostic cardiovascular procedures. Data were obtained for April 2020 and compared with volumes of baseline procedures from March 2019. We compared laboratory characteristics, practices, and procedure volumes between U.S. and non-U.S. facilities and between U.S. geographic regions and identified factors associated with volume reduction in the United States. Results: Reductions in the volumes of procedures in the United States were similar to those in non-U.S. facilities (68% vs. 63%, respectively; p = 0.237), although U.S. facilities reported greater reductions in invasive coronary angiography (69% vs. 53%, respectively; p < 0.001). Significantly more U.S. facilities reported increased use of telehealth and patient screening measures than non-U.S. facilities, such as temperature checks, symptom screenings, and COVID-19 testing. Reductions in volumes of procedures differed between U.S. regions, with larger declines observed in the Northeast (76%) and Midwest (74%) than in the South (62%) and West (44%). Prevalence of COVID-19, staff redeployments, outpatient centers, and urban centers were associated with greater reductions in volume in U.S. facilities in a multivariable analysis. Conclusions: We observed marked reductions in U.S. cardiovascular testing in the early phase of the pandemic and significant variability between U.S. regions. The association between reductions of volumes and COVID-19 prevalence in the United States highlighted the need for proactive efforts to maintain access to cardiovascular testing in areas most affected by outbreaks of COVID-19 infection

O Serviço de documentação textual e iconografia do Museu Paulista

The essay compares the curatorship's works realized during the decade of 1990 by the actual Department of Textual and Iconographical Documentation of Museu Paulista, responsible for the MP Fund / Permanent File (Fundo MP/Arquivo Permanente), hundreds of collections and textual funds and 50.000 iconography pieces, great part of which are gathered in photographic collections. It shows how the documentation work extrapolates the limits of SVDHICO in order to integrate itself with the group activities of the museum and with other research groups. It also points towards new work methodologies which allow to perform the curatorship in an integrated way with the interdisciplinary research and the culture diffusion.O artigo faz um balanço dos trabalhos de curadoria realizados durante a década de 1990 pelo atual Serviço de Documentação Textual e Iconografia do Museu Paulista, responsável pelo Fundo MP/Arquivo Permanente, centenas de coleções e fundos textuais e 50.000 peças de iconografia, grande parte delas reunidas em coleções fotográficas. Mostra como o trabalho de documentação extrapola os limites do SVDHICO para integrar-se com as atividades de conjunto do Museu e com outros grupos de pesquisa. Aponta também para novas metodologias de trabalho com imagens que permitem realizar a curadoria de forma integrada à pesquisa interdisciplinar e à difusão cultural
