    Analysis Of Peer Group Support and the Learning Environment with Learning Motivation for Nursing Students

    Learning motivation is a driving force from within a person to carry out activities including learning in achieving achievement. Motivation to learn can be seen from the results of exams and even from everyday phenomena such as studying only during exams, being sleepy while studying, working together during exams. If that motivation is not increased and instilled in oneself, it can lead to a degradation of enthusiasm, it can even lead to a loss of enthusiasm for learning. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between peer group support and the learning environment with the learning motivation nursing students. The research design used correlation with cross sectional approach. The population and research sample were 93 people using total sampling technique. Data collection is done directly using a questionnaire. Based on the results of the study, the average peer group support is found to be 60.67, standard deviation 6.611, min-max value 37-77, estimate interval 59.31-62.03. Learning environment with a mean of 42.04, standard deviation of 4.147, min-max value of 31-35, estimates interval of 41.18-42.90. Motivation to learn with an average of 67.55, standard deviation 6.470, min-max value 52-80, estimates interval 66.22-68.88.  The results of the Pearson product moment statistical test between peer group support and a learning environment with learning motivation found p-values ??of 0.001 and 0.007, respectively. The correlation value of peer group support and learning environment with positive learning motivation is 0.346 and 0.279, respectively. This means that there is a significant relationship between peer group support and the learning environment with learning motivation and the higher the value of the peer group and learning environment, the greater the score of learning motivation. It is hoped that STIKes Santa Elisabeth Medan will continue to improve peer groups and comfortable infrastructure, away from noise in increasing student motivation to learn

    THE EFFECT OF LIFE REVIEW THERAPY ON DEPRESSION IN THE ELDERLY AT UPT ELDERLY SOCIAL SERVICE BINJAI PROVINCE OF SUMATERA UTARA 2021

    Life review therapy is one of therapy to reducing depression, building confidence, psychological well-being, and contentment in elderlylife. Purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of life review therapy on depression in elderly at Binjai erderly social service unit Province of North Sumatera 2021. This research method uses one-group pretest – posttest design. The sampling Technique was purposive sampling, with a sample of 30 respondents. The  measuring instrument used by the Geriatric Depression Scale questionnaire. The results showed that the score before life review therapy is 7,20 (SD=2,592), and after life review therapy 4,13 (SD=2,825). Statistical test results show the life review therapy affected depression in elderly at Province North Sumatera Binjai erderly social service unit with paired t-test, ρ value = 0,001. This research is expected to be an alternative to reducing depression, improving well-being and quality of elderlylife

    Latar Belakang: Anak usia sekolah adalah golongan anak yang berusia antara 7-12 tahun, dan  masa tenang atau masa latent, yang merupakan suatu proses pematangan karakteristik fisik, sosial, serta psikologis semakin mandiri saat berpartisipasi dalam aktivitas diluar rumah, terutama di sekolah. Jajanan adalah makanan dan minuman yang dipersiapkan atau dijual oleh pedagang kaki lima di jalanan dan di tempat-tempat umum yang langsung dikonsumsi tanpa pengolahan atau persiapan lebih lanjut. Tujuan: Untuk mengetahuai Gambaran Perilaku Anak Usia SekolahDalam Jajan Sembarangan Di Desa Kuta Gugung Kec. Naman Teran Kab. Karo Sumatera Utara. Metode: Jenis Penelitian deskriptif dengan teknik pengambilan sampel total sampling dengan jumlah sampel 65 responden. Hasil: Hasil penelitian ini  menunjukkan bahwa perilaku positif sebanyak 14 orang, dan  perilaku negatif sebanyak 51 orang. Kesimpulan: Dapat disimpulkan bahwa masih lebih banyak anak usia sekolah yang memilih jajanan untuk mereka konsumsi. Diharapkan kepada  anak usia sekolah agar  mengurangi perilaku yang tidak baik dalam memilih jajanan yang akan mereka konsumsi

    Masa remaja merupakan peralihan, rentan terjadinya permasalahan yang berdampak pada dirinya sendiri,keluarga dan masyarakat  maka perlu mendapat perhatian khusus.  Pengabdian masyarakat  ini bertutuan untuk  meningkatkan  pengetahuan dan kesadaran  diri  siswa/i dengan memberikan mengedukasi kesehatan untuk  pencegahan kenakalan remaja di SMTK  Orthodok Agia Sophia Tanjung Anom. Pengabadian Masyarakat dilaksanakan kepada siswa/i  SMTK  SMTK  Orthodok Agia Sophia Tanjung Anom dengan ceramah, diskusi dan menoton vidio. Sebelum kegiatan dilakukan pre test dan post test untuk mengetahui sejauh mana pemahaman peserta terkait pencegahan kenakalan remaja. Setelah diberikan edukasi kepada siswa/i SMTK  dan evaluasi bahwa pengetahuan siswa/i sebagaian besar adalah baik 65%

    SOCIALIZATION OF CLEAN AND HEALTHY LIFESTYLE BEHAVIOR IN SDN 8 SIANTING-ANTING SAMOSIR REGENCY

    Improving health status is one of the national development efforts to create a healthy, prosperous Indonesian society. Clean and healthy living behavior (PHBS) is an action to empower elementary school students to be able and willing to carry out clean and healthy living behaviors so as to create a healthy school environment. This community service activity aims to provide socialization and education for students at SD Negeri number 8 Sianting-anting, Samosir Regency. Activities consist of socialization in the form of counseling, discussion and question and answer. The activity participants consisted of 71 students from grades 1 to 6. The material presented was how to wash hands with soap and running water, consume healthy snacks, use clean and healthy latrines, exercise regularly, eradicate mosquito larvae, smoke free at school, dispose of trash in its place and work together to keep the school environment clean. Participants were very enthusiastic and gave positive responses and actively participated in socialization activities. The results of the activity evaluation showed that the participants were able to wash their hands properly, mentioned the PHBS components at school, and after the socialization activities, students also implemented PHBS at SDN 8 Sianting-anting, Samosir Regency. The statistical test using the t-paired test showed that the value of p = 0.001 (p <0.05) which means that there is a difference before and after being given PHBS education on the level of knowledge of students at SDN 8 Sianting-anting, Samosir Regency

    Picky eating is the behavior of children who experience eating disorders in the form of refusal to eat, do not want to eat, the length of time to eat more than 30 minutes, and only want to eat certain foods. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between maternal parenting with Picky Eating behavior in preschool children in Simalingkar VII Ward, Mangga Dua Village, Medan Tuntung District. This research uses correlation research design with cross sectional approach method. Population The population in this study were all preschool children (3-5 years old) in the VII Environment of Simalingkar, Mangga Dua Village, Medan Tuntung District, as many as 36 people and their mothers. Sampling in this study is a way to do with a total sampling technique in which all populations are sampled, where the number of respondents is equal to the total population of 36 respondents, namely mothers who have preschool age children in the Simalingkar District VII, Mangga Dua Village, Medan Tuntung District. The results of this study indicate that there is no relationship between maternal parenting and picky eating behavior in preschool children in Simalingkar Ward VII Mangga Dua, Medan Tuntung District. Suggested to the next researcher to review about other factors related to picky eating behavior in preschool children
