M.A. (Clinical Psychology)Research on lateralization has been replicated in many countries of Europe, the American states and the Asiatic states. The research findings on language functions verify the occurrence of cerebral dominance or lateralization in these various races. In the South African context, language lateralization has been studied among the whites and the asiatics, but no study to date has been done among the various black population groups. The specific aim of the present study was to fill this void by researching language lateralization in a young mail Tsonga population, ascertaining the effect of the degree of language lateralization on various language abilities (reading, writing, spelling, vocabulary)..

The main purpose of this study is to empirically assess the impact of inflation on economic growth in Tanzania from 1995 to 2017. Inflation is one of the fundamental objectives of macroeconomic policies in Tanzania. Specifically, the study assessed the empirical evidence for significance of inflation on economic growth in Tanzania as first hypothesis. Different statistical tests conducted revealed that inflation is significant to economic growth since the tests displayed that these two variables affect one another. Secondly, the study examined the hypothesis that inflation and economic growth has positive relationship so different econometric tests like correlation matrix test, cointegration test, Vector Autoregressive test were employed. The results revealed the following; first, there was strong positive and negative relationship between inflation and economic growth, secondly, the cointegration test showed that inflation has short run relationship with economic growth, thirdly, the Vector autoregression causality test results exposed that there was positive and negative causality relationship between inflation and economic growth, given the results above, then we reject the null hypothesis that Inflation and Economic Growth have positive relationship and accept the alternative that inflation have both positive and negative relationship on economic growth. Hence the study concludes that inflation has significant impact on economic growth in Tanzania also inflation is the sensitive macroeconomic variable to the economic growth. The study recommends that before making any inflation targeting policy, the Government should build a dynamic model that can weigh the short run costs against the long run benefits of such policies

Africa's historical glory and pace set in the information and communication sector is highlighted in perspective of her previous contribution in the development of information age. Now being a net importer, and her contemporary loss of a place in the information age, Information Technology is a key resource that should be maximised by African nations in order to achieve competitiveness in the current dynamic world economy. Africa remains at crossroads with the rest of the world. Africa is now in the limelight as economically stagnant and technologically marginalised enjoying only 1 per cent of the Internet connectivity out of over 50 million intended worldwide users with one telephone for every 200 people. The current scene is analysed through selected literature reviews which give an indication of fundamental issues and ills facing African countries in this era of information society. The participatory roles Africa need to play as her contributory efforts in helping to create a global information society are highlighted. The area of study suffers from major challenges facing developing world as far as communication and information access is concerned. Thirsty for knowledge and information for educational and decision making processes among the small holders is evident. There is lack of books and means of rapid communication at low cost making access to knowledge and information hard. However small holder communities in this area are becoming increasingly aware of the powerful role the new information and communication technologies can play or help in their struggle for education, democracy, economic and social development. These challenges can be met, among others, through provision of public access communication and information services while allaying the technical means of communication problems. The bottom line is that the empowerment of the small holder is feasible through services as; on-site and distance education, employment opportunities, training, entrepreneurship, online information access to libraries, archives and institutions. In addition specialised services can be offered to agriculture, health care, business dealings, legal matters and expert advises or consultancies. This paper therefore discusses the role of Information Technology in expanding access to knowledge and information in small holder communities
