Manufacture of super large tungsten single crystals in the form of rotation bodies

The results of researches made at creation of technology of production of super-large single crystals of tungsten in the form of plates and bodies of rotation are presented in E.O. Paton Electric Welding Institute NAS of Ukraine created a unique technology for the production of single crystals of refractory metals in the form of plates 170×160×20 mm, worked out the technology and conducted material studies, which confirmed their quality and gave the basis for further development in this direction. In recent years, the technology of growing super–large single–crystal tungsten in the form of rotating bodies with a diameter of 85 mm has been created.Представлено результати досліджень, проведених при створенні технології отримання супервеликих монокристалів вольфраму у вигляді пластин та тіл обертання. В ІЕЗ ім. Є.О. Патона НАН України була створена унікальна технологія вирощування монокристалів тугоплавких металів у вигляді пластин 170×160×20 мм, відпрацьована технологія та проведені матеріалознавчі дослідження, що підтвердили їхню якість та дали підґрунтя для подальших розробок у цьому напрямку. В останні роки було створено новітню, не маючу світових аналогів, технологію вирощування супервеликих монокристалів вольфраму у вигляді тіл обертання діаметром 85 мм.Представлены результаты исследований, проведенных при создании технологии получения супербольших монокристаллов вольфрама в виде пластин и тел вращения. В ИЭС им. Е.О. Патона НАН Украины была создана уникальная технология выращивания монокристаллов тугоплавких металлов в виде пластин 170×160×20 мм, отработана технология и проведены материаловедческие исследования, которые подтвердили их качество и создали основу для дальнейших разработок в этом направлении. В последние годы было создано новую не имеющую мировых аналогов технологию выращивания супербольших монокристаллов вольфрама в виде тел вращения диаметром 85 мм

Euhalophyte Eryngium maritimum L.: the Microstructure and Functional Characteristics

The microstructure of the leaf surface, lipids composition, pigments spectrum, biological and photosynthetic activity, and hormones status of euhalophyte Eryngium maritimum L., one of the most salt-tolerant plants, were studied. It was shown that the existence in saline and dry soils is provided among others adaptive mechanisms by specific microstructure of leaf, adaxial and abaxial surfaces of which have well-developed cuticle and stomata slit placed below the surface of the epidermis. The presence of a large amount of saturated fatty acids provides decrease of membrane permeability and better resistance against soil salinity. The key role in photosynthetic activity is played by chlorophyll a. At the same time a high amount of carotenoids (as compared with amount of chlorophylls) points out that these pigments have a light-collecting function and could transfer an additional energy to chlorophylls. The data from thermoluminescence analyses showed a possible inhibition of recombination reactions in PS II by the assumed saline concentration in plant tissue. Besides, the fluorescence measurements indicate reduced efficiency of photosynthetic reactions. The high level of active ABA is correlated with salt tolerance and ability to survive and grow in stress conditions. The high level of conjugated form of IAA demonstrated that activity of this hormone is limited

Indicators of productivity of livestock breeding stocks of plant type Pridneprovsky in Belarusian meat breed

The paper presents materials of research on study of performance indicators of livestock breeding herds of plant type Pridneprovsky in Belarusian meat breed at basic agricultural enterprises. It has been determined that animals of breeding stocks of plant type Pridneprovsky of Belarusian meat breed at basic agricultural enterprises are characterized by high rates of growth and development. Values of indicators of multiple pregnancy rate, milk production ability, number of piglets and litter weight at weaning on average for all farms in sows made 11.5 animals, 54.6 kg, 10.0 animals and 81.7 kg. The indicators of the age of reaching body weight of 100 kg, the average daily weight gain from birth to 100 kg, the body length and backfat thickness in the plant type young stock made 181.8 days, 546 g, 123.5 cm and 18.1 mm, respectively.В статье представлены материалы исследований по изучению показателей продуктивности животных племенных стад заводского типа «Приднепровский» в белорусской мясной породе в базовых сельхозпредприятиях. Установлено, что животные племенных стад заводского типа «Приднепровский» белорусской мясной породы в базовых сельхозпредприятиях характеризуются высокими показателями роста и развития. Величины показателей многоплодия, молочности, количества поросят и массы гнезда при отъеме в среднем по всем хозяйствам у свиноматок составили 11,5 гол., 54,6 кг, 10,0 гол. и 81,7 кг. Показатели возраста достижения живой массы 100 кг, среднесуточного прироста от рождения до 100 кг, длины туловища и толщины шпика у молодняка заводского типа составили 181,8 дней, 546 г, 123,5 см и 18,1 мм
