Studies in preparation of banana wine (fruit wine)
Banana is a tropical fruit, which is grown abundantly in India. It is mainly composed of soluble sugars, starch and other polysaccharides. The juice was extracted from the normal ripe fruits with the help of pectinase enzyme. Optimization of pectinase treatment was done by RSM method. Wine was prepared by using two strains of Saccharomyces cerevisiae NCIM 3283 & NCIM 3046. The size of inoculum, effective pH, temperature, level of SO2 , level of DAP for both strains was optimized. It was found that NCIM 3046 gave better results compared to the other strain. Soluble solids (SS), pH and specific gravity decreased while titratable acidity (TA) increased with increasing length of fermentation of the juice. Sensory evaluation results showed that banana wine was acceptable in terms of flavor, taste, clarity and overall characteristics. The banana wine was generally accepted & could be popularized.

An Analysis of Five Factors of Personality Traits of Turkish Late Adolescents According to Computer Anxiety
The aim of this study was to analyze the relationship between five factors of personality traits of Turkish late adolescents and computer anxiety in a Turkish study group. The study group consisted of 119 students: 97 females and 22 males. The study data was collected using the Adjective-Based Personality Test and Personal Information Form. Findings of this study revealed that there is no significant statistical difference among the participant scores for the Personality Test Based on Adjectives (ABPT)'s dimensions of emotional instability/neuroticism, extraversion, openness to experience, agreeableness and responsibility, owning computers and anxiety during the use of computers
Modeling Backscattering Behavior of Vulnerable Road Users Based on High-Resolution Radar Measurements
During the evolvement of autonomous driving technology, obtaining reliable 3-D environmental information is an indispensable task in approaching safe driving. The operational behavior of automotive radars can be precisely evaluated in a virtual test environment by modeling its surrounding, specifically vulnerable road users (VRUs). Such a realistic model can be generated based on the radar cross section (RCS) and Doppler signatures of a VRU. Therefore, this work proposes a high-resolution RCS measurement technique to determine the relevant scattering points of different VRUs
Fish Farming in Pınarbaşı and its Vicinity
AbstractCountries need to take various precautions to meet the need for food that increases due to population growth and fast consumption of nutrition sources. Marine products have an important place among decreasing sources. Fish farming not only helps meet the need for protein, but also creates a significant economic sector. Developing rapidly in our country, fish farming is conducted both in seas and freshwater. Particularly trout farming in freshwater stands out. This study focuses on the potential for fish farming in Pınarbaşı and its vicinity. The Zamantı River, one of the main tributaries of the Seyhan River, takes its source from Uzunyayla located in the northeast of Pınarbaşı. Animal husbandry and agricultural activities are the primary means of livelihood. However, the variety of products is limited in Uzunyayla due to harsh continental climate conditions. Trout farming becomes more and more common in this region where means of livelihood are limited. The water conditions of the Zamantı River and its tributaries, favorability of some water parameters, and eligibility of environmental conditions are natural geographical factors that enable fish farming to emerge and develop as an economic activity in Pınarbaşı and its vicinity. Trout processing and feed factories and trout farms, established as a result of fish farming in the region, provide employment and also contribute to the economy of the country in that they create export opportunities
