    Pelaksanaan Praktik Pengalaman Lapangan (PPL) merupakan salah satu mata kuliah praktik yang wajib ditempuh oleh mahasiswa sebagai salah satu syarat dalam menyelesikan gelar sebagai sarjana pendidikan selain pelaksanaan KKN dan tugas akhir serta skripsi di Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta. Visi dari Praktik Pengalaman Lapangan (PPL) adalah wahana pembentukan calon guru atau tenaga kependidikan yang professional. Praktek Pengalaman Lapangan (PPL) dilaksanakan di SMK Negeri 3 Yogyakarta, tepatnya di JL. R.W. Monginsidi 2A Yogyakarta ini dimulai pada tanggal 1 Juli 2014 sampai dengan tanggal 17 Oktober 2014. Praktik Pengalaman Lapangan (PPL) ini merupakan kegiatan pembelajaran di sekolah. Dalam kegiatan pembelajaran perlu melakukan persiapan diantaranya pembuatan Silabus & RPP, pembuatan/persiapan media pembelajaran, ringkasan materi/bahan ajar, dll.Secara umum dalam pelaksanaan PPL, proses kegiatan pembelajaran dapat berjalan dengan baik dan lancar tanpa mengalami suatu hambatan yang berarti. Manfaat yang diperoleh dari kegiatan PPL adalah meningkatkan kemampuan dalam menerapkan ilmu pengetahuan dan keterampilan yang telah diperoleh di bangku kuliah sekaligus memperluas wawasan dan pengalaman tentang kegiatan pendidikan dan kegiatan lain yang menunjang kelancaran proses belajar-mengajar di sekolah. Sebagai upaya peningkatan kualitas dan profesionalitas tenaga pengajar, kegiatan PPL perlu ditingkatkan dengan membina hubungan antar lembaga pendidikan yang terkait. Program-program yang telah terlaksana tersebut, merupakan indikasi keberhasilan semua pihak yang terkait. Setelah masa PPL, diharapkan pihak siswa akan terus berusaha berkarya untuk mengembangkan bakat dan kemampuannya di semua bidang, menemukan cara belajar yang efektif, dan berorganisasi dengan dibimbing oleh guru pembimbing yang bersangkutan. Keberhasilan pelaksanaan PPL ini, hendaknya disikapi oleh pihak Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta dengan mempertahankan dan meningkatkan jalinan komunikasi dan kerjasama dengan SMK Negeri 3 Yogyakarta, supaya PPL dimasa mendatang akan lebih baik dan lebih menghasilkan sesuatu yang bermanfaat bagi pengembangan sekolah, siswa dan mahasiswa praktikan itu sendiri

    Character Education in Mathematics Learning in Contemporary Era: A Case Study in Indonesia

    This research aimed to discover character education in the Contemporary Era. This research is qualitative phenomenological research. As the main instrument, researchers have long studied several library studies in the form of journal articles related to character education in mathematics learning in Indonesia. In addition, some descriptive data are obtained from the writer's experience studying character education over the last five years. Character development through mathematical teaching requires teachers to associate the character values they want to develop with the importance of mathematics and their learning. Then, teachers must be capable of planning and implementing their knowledge. The axiom is determined by agreement; thus, the deal is significant in mathematics. It will embed the agreement's value in the soul of every child who succeeds well when learning mathematics. Eventually, obedience will be inherited in the child's soul. A theorem is a broad range of factual statements and truths obtained from axioms using deductive reasoning. If, in mathematical learning the teacher succeeds in inserting the values contained in the relationship between theorem and axiom, the teacher can also integrate Pancasila values so that Pancasila is positioned like axioms. In short, contextual and contemporary mathematical learning plays a significant role in developing skills essential to modern society and the formation of national character

    Kegiatan pemberdayaan masyarakat Dusun Wuluh, Desa Banjarejo, Kecamatan Tanjungsari, Gunungkidul, Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta berupa stimulasi kreativitas masyarakat dalam pengembangan pariwisata desa dan kreativitas masyarakat dalam pengolahan hasil alam agar memiliki nilai ekonomis. Program KKN UAD difokuskan pada peningkatan kesejahteraan masyarakat melalui pemberdayaan ekonomi dan pemanfaatan teknologi informasi. Program KKN bertujuan memberdayakan masyarakat Dusun Wuluh dalam program pemberdayaan pariwisata desa berupa kegiatan pelatihan kewiraushaan. Metode pelaksanaan program KKN meliputi: pendidikan masyarakat, difusi teknologi, serta praktek langsung. Dampak dari kegiatan KKN ini adalah 1) peningkatan pengetahuan masyarakat dalam mempromosikan pariwisata desa melalui website, 2) peningkatan kreativitas masyarakat dalam pengolahan limbah laut menjadi souvenir, 3) peningkatan pengetahuan masyarakat mengenai desain kemasan untuk meningkatkan daya jual hasil alam, 4) sadar akan pentingnya sistem informasi desa (SID)

    ANALYSIS OF THE DIFFICULTY OF STUDENTS 'MATHEMATICS LEARNING IN CLASS VIII FUNCTION MATERIALS

    State Junior High School (SMP Negeri) 1 Tempel students in mathematics are still low. Judging from the mathematics scores of Year-End Assessment (PAT) class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Tempel show that as many as 98.40% of students have not reached the minimum completeness criteria (MCC). Based on interviews with students, it was found that learning mathematics was complicated. Students tried to solve math problems but had difficulty solving them. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to determine the problems experienced by students in solving math problems and the factors that cause real challenges, conceptual difficulties, and procedural difficulties in learning mathematics in the function material of class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Tempel in the 2019/2020 school year. This research method is qualitative research. The subjects of this study were 31 students of class VIII A SMP Negeri 1 Tempel. The object of this research is learning difficulties in factual, conceptual, and procedural aspects. Retrieval of data using tests and interviews. The test instrument is in the form of function material questions. Data analysis techniques used the Miles and Huberman model, namely Data Reduction, Data Display, and Data Verification. The results of this study indicate that students have difficulty learning mathematics in terms of functions. Students' problems in the function material obtained 69.25% real difficulties, 63.79% conceptual difficulties, and 61.41% procedural difficulties. Students have a problem in (1) the factual aspect, namely writing the name of the function, writing the set's name, making arrow diagrams, making Cartesian diagrams, and writing the set of consecutive pairs. (2) Students have difficulty defining a function in the conceptual aspect, giving reasons why a relationship can be called a process, distinguishing the origin from the relationship, describing the origin and result area, calculating the number of members of the set, and writing the formulas a function. (3) procedural aspects, students are still lacking in determining the correct and appropriate steps in solving problems. Some students have difficulty determining what steps to take first. Thus resulting in incomplete procedures in solving questions. The factor that causes difficulty in learning mathematics in the function material is students' inaccurate learning patterns. This causes students to forget often and be confused when solving questions

    Development of test instruments to measure high level thinking ability of two linear variable equations system

    This study aims to develop a test instrument to measure the high-level thinking ability of the two-variable linear equation system material. This research is a Research and Development using the ADDIE development model consisting of steps of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The test subjects in this study were students of class VIII of SMP Negeri 3 Payung. The instruments used in this study were validation sheets and documentation. Data collection techniques through expert judgment and tests. This research has succeeded in developing a test instrument to measure the high-level thinking ability of two-variable linear equations system material. The test developed consists of 10 multiple choice items and 5 description items that have been declared valid by expert judgment. The trial results show from the difficulty index analysis of multiple-choice questions was obtained as much as 1 item in the easy category, 9 questions in the moderate category, the analysis of the difficulty index for the essay obtained by 2 items in the medium category, 3 questions in the difficult category. In the analysis of discriminant index of multiple-choice questions, there were 1 question in the bad category, 3 questions with enough categories, and 6 questions in the good category. In the analysis of the difference in power, 2 questions were categorized as bad, 1 question was categorized as sufficient, 2 questions were categorized as good. Based on the analysis of the function of the distractor, it was found that 1 question was not functioning properly, 9 questions were functioning properly. Finally, from the reliability analysis, it was obtained 0.73 for multiple choice questions and 0.716 for essay questions with high reliability interpretation
