Este escrito ofrece una visión acercadel significado que tiene un procesode planeación organizacional parauna institución, y describe y analizasu aplicación en entidades de investigación.Para este efecto se presentauna parte teórica y un análisis deentrevistas a centros y grupos de investigación.Al final del escrito se destacala relación que pareciera existirentre el proceso de planeación de cadacentro o grupo y su proceso de consolidacióncomo institución.

Strukturna i mehanička svojstva te propusnost biorazgradivih filmova na osnovi zeina

The effect of adding a hydrocolloid on the structural, mechanical and barrier properties of zein-based blend films is evaluated. Zein-oleic acid blend film with added xanthan gum (Z-OA-XG) showed higher water solubility (13.09 %) and opacity (8.49 AU/mm) than zein-oleic acid (Z-OA) fi lm (10.80 % and 5.19 AU/mm, respectively). Furthermore, Z-OA film had greater flexibility with lower Young’s Modulus (YM=5.02 MPa) and higher elongation at break (η=10.62 %); nonetheless, it was less resistant to tension (tensile strength σ=8.5 MPa) than Z-OA-XG film, which showed YM, η and σ of 6.38 MPa, 6.66 % and 10.485 MPa, respectively. Both films had glossy and homogeneous structure with comparable water vapour and oxygen barrier properties around 4.39·10–11 and 1.82·10–13 g/(Pa·s·m), respectively. Based on that, xanthan gum structure influenced mainly mechanical and light barrier properties of zein-oleic acid blend films.U radu je ispitan utjecaj dodatka hidrokoloida na strukturna i mehanička svojstva te propusnost filmova na osnovi zeina. Film dobiven miješanjem zeina i oleinske kiseline uz dodatak ksantanske gume bolje se otapao u vodi (13,09 %), te je bio prozirniji (8,49 AU/mm) od filma bez dodatka ksantanske gume (10,80 % i 5,19 AU/mm). Iako je film dobiven miješanjem zeina i oleinske kiseline bio elastičniji, te imao nižu vrijednost Youngovog modula elastičnosti (YM=5,02 MPa) i veću istezljivost (η=10,62 %), imao je slabiju vlačnu čvrstoću (σ=8,5 MPa) od filma s dodatkom ksantanske gume (YM=638 MPA, η=6,66 % i σ=10,485 MPa). Oba su filma imala sjajnu površinu i homogenu strukturu, te sličnu propusnost na vodenu paru od otprilike 4,39•10-11 g/(Pa•s•m) i kisika od otprilike 1,82•10-13 g/(Pa•s•m). Zaključeno je da struktura ksantanske gume utječe na mehanička svojstva i transparentnost filmova dobivenih miješanjem zeina i oleinske kiseline

Active learning: creating interactive crossword puzzles

The crossword puzzle is a well-known game that can be easily integrated into our classes. Our Corporate Finance students were suggested to create their own financial crossword puzzle in collaborative groups using a free Internet program. As a second step, they had to upload the crosswords in the virtual learning environment of the course, where could be solved online by the rest of their peers. Students’ perceptions about this crossword puzzle exercise were examined with a survey. Results on a sample of 84 students are very encouraging. Most students considered this activity as enjoyable and useful for learning. In this study we have also found that students’ perceived value of crosswords for their learning is positively correlated with both their perceived learning in the course and their attitude toward the course.Campus Mare Nostrum, Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena, Universidad de Murcia, Región de Murci

Association between odontoma size, age and gender : multivariate analysis of retrospective data

The variety of characteristics related to odontoma research, including an unexplored one such as size, merits a multivariate approach that allows the adequate drawing of inferences with pertinent conclusions. The objective of this study is to establish the possible association between some characteristics related to the odontoma, tumor size among them. The sociodemographic characteristics of 60 patients were evaluated. Diagnosis, size, location, type of treatment performed, and prognosis were determined. These data were analyzed descriptively and through multivariate models. Thirty-four compound and 26 complex odontomas in 32 men and 28 women were observed. The age average of patients was 15.6±11 years. Most of the odontomas presented a size inferior to 10 mm. A statistically significant association was observed between the routine radiographic finding and the absence of dental eruption (p=0.0001). The model of linear regression adjusted between odontoma size and age (?=0.321, p=0.01), as well as the model of logistic regression adjusted between gender (men) and tumor size (OR=12; 1.7 - 93 IC 95%, (p=0.01) were statistically significant. Statistically significant associations between odontoma size and age, and between the male gender and odontomas smaller than 10 mm were found adjusting by other confounding variables. These results could grant clinicians a greater knowledge of the context of odontoma characteristics, which in turn could favor a better diagnostic and therapeutic decision-making

El periodismo deportivo en la radio universitaria

La radio convencional sufre continuos vaivenes debido a esos lastres económicos férreamente unidos a la publicidad y la cifra de audiencia que marca el Estudio General de Medios cada trimestre. Unas emisoras comerciales que cada vez más asumen un papel de mero entretenimiento y que aleja a los oyentes de la información que siempre han encontrado en las ondas. La necesidad de vender espacios publicitarios ha intoxicado la información y ha provocado una selección inequívoca de contenidos que la mayoría de radioyentes quiere recibir y deja a un lado otras temáticas de importancia similar pero sin tanto impacto social. Las radios universitarias emergen como esa alternativa sana, fiable, en continua renovación y con ganas de innovar de la mano de sus coordinadores y de la Asociación de Radios Universitarias de España desde su creación en 2011 y que ya posee veintiocho integrantes en sus filas. El tratamiento deportivo en estas emisoras sigue creciendo día a día tratando de paliar las carencias que deja al descubierto la radio convencional. En ella, tienen cabida los deportes minoritarios, el deporte femenino y el deporte universitario español lejos del impacto, por ejemplo, norteamericano. A través de la frecuencia modulada o en plataformas como el streaming y el podcast, la radio universitaria crece en ciudades paulatinamente en el territorio español. La labor formativa de los docentes en la rama de Comunicación de las universidades es imprescindible para formar y propulsar hacia la emisora convencional y comercial en un futuro casi inmediato a dichos estudiantes. El tratamiento del deporte en la radio universitaria debe contener grandes dosis de innovación y experimentación. Una evolución lenta pero constante.Conventional radio is suffering continuous changes due to the economic dead weights tightly linked to advertising and the audience figures that mark the General Media Research every trimester. Commercial radios that are increasing entertainment roles are keeping away the listeners from the information they have always found on the radio. The need for selling advertising spaces has intoxicated the information and has provoked an unmistakable choice of contents that the vast majority of the listeners want to hear and therefore set aside other themes of similiar importance that carry little social impact. University radios emerge like a healthy, reliable and renovated alternative in the hands of their coordinators and the Asociación de Radios Universitarias de España since it was created in 2011, and it already has twenty-eight members. The sports information treated in these station’s grows every day trying to palliate the deficiencies which are not covered by the conventional radios. On university radios, minority sports, female sports and university sports have coverage, however they are far away, for example, of the media coverage on North American conventional radio stations. Through the modulated frecuency, on streaming platforms or with online podcasts, the university radio is gradually growing in Spanish cities. The educational labour of teachers in Communication Faculties is essential and necessary for trainning and encouraging students so they can work towards conventional and commertial radio stations in their near future. The treament of sports in university radios must contain large doses of innovation and experimentation. A slow but steady evolution
