    A Semi-Total Domination Number of a Graph

    Get PDF
This thesis work on the two parameters that is very important domination parameters, one parameter is known as domination number and other parameter is called as total domination number. S is defined as a set of vertices in a graph G. We characterize a set S of vertices in a graph G with no segregated vertices to be a semitotal overwhelming arrangement of G in the event that it is a ruling arrangement of G and furthermore every vertex in S is inside separation 2 of another vertex of S. The semitotal domination number, indicated by is the base cardinality of a semitotal ruling arrangement of G. We demonstrate that on the off chance that G is an associated graph on n ? 4 vertices, at that point and we describe the trees and diagrams of least degree 2 arriving at this bound

A Study on Graph Theory of Path Graphs

A simple graph G = (V, E) consists of V , a nonempty set of vertices, and E, a set of unordered pairs of distinct elements of V called edges. Simple graphs have their limits in modeling the real world. Instead, we use multigraphs, which consist of vertices and undirected edges between these vertices, with multiple edges between pairs of vertices allowed. In the mathematical field of graph theory, a path graph or linear graph is a graph whose vertices can be listed in the order v1, v2, …, vn such that the edges are {vi, vi+1} where i = 1, 2, …, n ? 1. Equivalently, a path with at least two vertices is connected and has two terminal vertices (vertices that have degree 1), while all others (if any) have degree 2. Paths are often important in their role as subgraphs of other graphs, in which case they are called paths in that graph. A path is a particularly simple example of a tree, and in fact the paths are exactly the trees in which no vertex has degree 3 or more. A disjoint union of paths is called a linear forest

A Study on Combinatories in Discrete Mathematics

The next two chapters deal with Set Theory and some related topics from Discrete Mathematics. This chapter develops the basic theory of sets and then explores its connection with combinatorics (adding and multiplying; counting permutations and combinations), while Chapter 5 treats the basic notions of numerosity or cardinality for finite and infinite sets. Most mathematicians today accept Set Theory as an adequate theoretical foundation for all of mathematics, even as the gold standard for foundations.* We will not delve very deeply into this aspect of Set Theory or evaluate the validity of the claim, though we will make a few observations on it as we proceed. Toward the end of our treatment, we will focus on how and why Set Theory has been axiomatized. But even disregarding the foundational significance of Set Theory, its ideas and terminology have become indispensable for a large number of branches of mathematics as well as other disciplines, including parts of computer science. This alone makes it worth exploring in an introductory study of Discrete Mathematics

The Smart Innovation in Industrial Data Acquisition System Using IOT

    Get PDF
Now a day Internet of Things is suddenly increasing technology. IOT is the network of physical object or things embedded with software sensors, electronics and network connectivity. IOT is used to collect information and exchange data. In this paper, we are developing a system which will automatically monitor the industrial applications. IOT has given a powerful way to build industrial system by using wireless devices, and sensors. IOT concept is to monitor and control the industry. In phase I the hard ware was designed successfully using IOT. The input from sensor and data output can be displayed in the LCD (16*2).microcontroller (PIC16F887) which is used to collect data from sensors and displayed in LCD. The displayed data can be seen by server using IOT. The performances are verified experimentally using IOT. In Phase II the data from the server can be monitor through personal computer .The industrial data can be viewed through URL

In this thesis, the order, size and degree of the nodes of the isomorphic fuzzy graphs are analysed. Isomorphism between fuzzy graphs are examined. Some properties of self-complementary and self-weak complementary fuzzy graphs are reviewed

Proactive Indoor Air Quality Monitoring System

    Get PDF
In recent times indoor air quality has attracted the attention of policy makers and researchers similar to that of external air pollution. The indoor environments are confined and closed compared to external environments providing less opportunity for the pollutants to dilute. Our everyday devices emit various solids and gases into the environment during their operation. These emissions contain many substances that are harmful to human health, when exposed to them for a prolonged period of time. Here we propose an air quality monitoring system that allows us to monitor and check live air quality in particular areas through IOT. The System uses air sensors to sense presence of harmful gases/compounds in the air and constantly transmit this data to microcontroller PIC16F877A. The sensors interact with microcontroller which processes this data and transmits it over internet. The gas levels can be viewed through a webpage from anywhere in the world. This allows authorities to monitor air pollution in different areas and take action against it

Quercetin Suppresses Cyclooxygenase-2 Expression and Angiogenesis through Inactivation of P300 Signaling

Quercetin, a polyphenolic bioflavonoid, possesses multiple pharmacological actions including anti-inflammatory and antitumor properties. However, the precise action mechanisms of quercetin remain unclear. Here, we reported the regulatory actions of quercetin on cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2), an important mediator in inflammation and tumor promotion, and revealed the underlying mechanisms. Quercetin significantly suppressed COX-2 mRNA and protein expression and prostaglandin (PG) E(2) production, as well as COX-2 promoter activation in breast cancer cells. Quercetin also significantly inhibited COX-2-mediated angiogenesis in human endothelial cells in a dose-dependent manner. The in vitro streptavidin-agarose pulldown assay and in vivo chromatin immunoprecipitation assay showed that quercetin considerably inhibited the binding of the transactivators CREB2, C-Jun, C/EBPβ and NF-κB and blocked the recruitment of the coactivator p300 to COX-2 promoter. Moreover, quercetin effectively inhibited p300 histone acetyltransferase (HAT) activity, thereby attenuating the p300-mediated acetylation of NF-κB. Treatment of cells with p300 HAT inhibitor roscovitine was as effective as quercetin at inhibiting p300 HAT activity. Addition of quercetin to roscovitine-treated cells did not change the roscovitine-induced inhibition of p300 HAT activity. Conversely, gene delivery of constitutively active p300 significantly reversed the quercetin-mediated inhibition of endogenous HAT activity. These results indicate that quercetin suppresses COX-2 expression by inhibiting the p300 signaling and blocking the binding of multiple transactivators to COX-2 promoter. Our findings therefore reveal a novel mechanism of action of quercetin and suggest a potential use for quercetin in the treatment of COX-2-mediated diseases such as breast cancers

Measurements of differential cross-sections in top-quark pair events with a high transverse momentum top quark and limits on beyond the Standard Model contributions to top-quark pair production with the ATLAS detector at √s = 13 TeV

    Get PDF
Cross-section measurements of top-quark pair production where the hadronically decaying top quark has transverse momentum greater than 355 GeV and the other top quark decays into ℓνb are presented using 139 fb−1 of data collected by the ATLAS experiment during proton-proton collisions at the LHC. The fiducial cross-section at s = 13 TeV is measured to be σ = 1.267 ± 0.005 ± 0.053 pb, where the uncertainties reflect the limited number of data events and the systematic uncertainties, giving a total uncertainty of 4.2%. The cross-section is measured differentially as a function of variables characterising the tt¯ system and additional radiation in the events. The results are compared with various Monte Carlo generators, including comparisons where the generators are reweighted to match a parton-level calculation at next-to-next-to-leading order. The reweighting improves the agreement between data and theory. The measured distribution of the top-quark transverse momentum is used to search for new physics in the context of the effective field theory framework. No significant deviation from the Standard Model is observed and limits are set on the Wilson coefficients of the dimension-six operators OtG and Otq(8), where the limits on the latter are the most stringent to date.
