Organizational injustice is one of the important concepts in the field of literature due to its implications and its effects on employee behavior. Silence and organizational cynicism, as well as organizational injustice, draws attention to their negative effects on organizations. In this context, the aim of the study is to investigate the relationship between organizational injustice, silence, and organizational cynicism both theoretically and empirically, and to determine whether organizational cynicism has an intermediary role in the relationship between organizational injustice and silence. In this context, the study was designed as four departments. In the first three chapters, theoretical information about the concepts is given and the relationship between the historical development, the effects on organizations and employees and the relationship with other concepts are given. The fourth part covers the information about the application, the tools used, the method, the findings, and comments. Data related to the research were obtained by face to face survey method from health personnel working in public hospitals of the Ministry of Health and 535 health personnel were included in the study. SPSS, Hayes Process plug-in and AMOS package programs were used in the analysis of the data. t-test and ANOVA analysis, correlation, confirmatory factor analysis were applied to the data set. Then, hypotheses were tested by SPSS AMOS program by using structural equation modeling. Finally, using SPSS Hayes Precess microcirculation, organizational cynicism mediates the role of organizational cynicism in the relationship between organizational injustice and silence. The fact that demographic data level differed in terms of gender, marital status, occupational experience, and monthly gain variables. In addition, the existence of a mediatör role in the relationship between organizational cynicism and organizational injustice and silence is another important result. As a result of testing hypotheses created within the scope of the study, there is a positive correlation between perceptions of organizational injustice and silence of health personnel, and also the fact that the level of distribution injustice of organizational injustice is higher than the other dimensions. It was determined that organizational injustice was affected by the age, gender, and monthly earnings variable. In addition, the existence of an intermediary role in the relationship between organizational cynicism and organizational injustice and silence

Aim: This descriptive and cross-sectional research aims to determine effective speech skills of pediatric nurses and their affecting factors. Materials and Methods: The study population consisted of 124 nurses working in pediatric clinics of one university hospital, two state hospitals and two private hospitals located in the Province of Erzurum, Turkey. The research data were obtained using a “Demographic Information Form” and an “Effective Speech scale (ESS)”. In the analysis of the data, percentile distributions, averages, t-test, One-Way variance analysis, Kruskal-Wallis variance analysis and Cronbach’s alpha coefficient were used. Ethical principles were adhered to when conducting the study. Results: In the study, it was found that the vast majority of nurses did not receive training to improve effective speaking skills (76.6%). It was determined that the mean ESS score was 98.40±11.08, and that the average score of the nurses who received training on effective speech skills was higher (p<0.05). Conclusion: In the study, it was determined that the nurses had moderately effective speech skills, and the average ESS score of the nurses who received training on effective speech skills was found to be higher. According to the results of the study, nurses should be supported both in their formal education and working life with activities such as domestic or foreign courses, symposiums, seminars, congresses, etc. in order to improve their effective speech skills professionally

AimMany studies have examined the relationship between chronotype and general health. Because healthy eating is the basis of health aim of this study is to evaluate the relationship between healthy nutrition attitudes and chronotype in young adults. Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted with 1,400 young adults (936 females and 464 males). Chronotype was assessed by the Turkish version of the Morningness-Eveningness Questionnaire (MEQ) and the Attitude Scale for Healthy Nutrition (ASHN) was applied by face-to-face interview. Furthermore, 24-h dietary recall was collected. The scores of nutrient adequacy ratio (NAR) and mean adequacy ratio (MAR) were calculated. The anthropometric measurements including body weight and height were taken.ResultsThe chronotype distribution of participants according to the MEQ score and MAR score were not significantly different between females and males (p > 0.05). The percentage of participants with high healthy eating attitude was lowest in the evening chronotype and highest in the morning chronotype (49.7, 37.7 and 25.4% in morning-, intermediate-, evening-types, respectively; p = 0.000 for all groups according to the reciprocal comparisons). There was a positive correlation of the MEQ scores with the scores of ASHN (r = 0.282, p < 0.01). ASHN score was shown to be a predictor for MEQ score (β = 0.280, p = 0.000). Moreover, the score of “poor eating habits” was shown to be highest in the evening chronotype and lowest in the morning chronotype (14.9 ± 3.0 and 13.1 ± 3.0, respectively; p < 0.01).ConclusionThe results of this study indicate that individuals with the evening chronotype are more deficient in terms of healthy nutrition attitudes. Further studies with larger populations will potentially guide the development of health promotion strategies to prevent and treat chronic diseases based on an individual’s chronotype

Universities have a significant role in society as they are generators of economic activity, as land developers, as neighbors and as property owners. Therefore it is a focal point in the community. Every university lives within a surrounding community. They have been creating their own relations with the neighborhoods. The space that the university confronts with the city is shaped according to the needs of the people from the university and the inhabitants of the area. Between the university and the city, every university creates their own interface in accordance with the location and the inhabitants of the area. While planning the city or the university the interface zone did not take into account. It has been behaved as a part of the city although it has been a neighbor with university. While designing the university there has been no attempt to design this zone or making decisions including this zone. Therefore this space creates its own character in time. As it is locating between the city and the university it has been carrying both the character of the university and the city. The main aim of this study is to examine the spatial formation of the interface of university and city in respect to the planning decisions and spatial features of the area by investigating the two different types of universities in their own contexts in Ankara; Ankara University and METU. In this context, the spatial character of interface area is defined by examining this space as a transitional area, boundary and threshold. Then universities and their historical developments are examined in urban space and the relations between these two domains are investigated through the selected universities in Europe and USA. Finally, the situation of the university in Turkey is handled and searched the formation of the interface areas around the campuses of the two selected universities in Ankara.M.S. - Master of Scienc
