The influence of liquid on the deformation behavior of human dentin

The influence of liquid on the mechanical properties of human dentin under uniaxial compression is studied in this work. It has been shown that the storage of samples for 24 h in water, acetone, and glycerin does not lead to a change in the microstructure or to qualitative changes in the mechanical behavior of dentin, which continues to be highly elastic; capable of considerable plastic deformation; and a strong, hard tissue. © 2013 Pleiades Publishing, Ltd

COMPARISON RESEARCH OF THE ANTIOXIDANT ACTIVITY OF RAW COCOA BEANS AND PROCESSED COCOA POWDER FROM DIFFERENT MANUFACTURING COMPANIES IN GHANA

The total content of polyphenols in cocoa powder was determined in the equivalent of tannic acid per gram of dry weight of the cocoa powder sample. The ABTS and DPPH free radical scavenging activity of cocoa powder extracts were evaluated in comparison with vitamin C.We would like to thank Dr Kabotso Elorm senior lecturer of the University of Health and Allied Sciences for his contribution to this research

The article examines the role of regional development institutions in the infrastructure support of the socio-economic development of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation. Changes are revealed at the meso-economic level that are possible in the post-industrial development of the economy of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation. As a result of the study, it was concluded that 48 percent of the total funds available from regional development institutions accounted for the five leading regions: the Republic of Tatarstan, Moscow and Moscow Regions, Lipetsk, Kaluga Regions and St. Petersburg. By the share of gross regional product (GRP), the list of regions was headed by the Kaluga and Lipetsk regions, which is explained by the large volumes of investments attracted through development institutions and the relatively small size of the regional product and the population of these regions. The authors summarize the experience of managing regional development institutions, conclude that it is necessary to increase the degree of influence on the development of the economic and social infrastructure of the regions of the Russian Federation as a whole, as well as to eliminate regional imbalances in development. The main directions in the implementation of this approach are: Creation of an organizational mechanism for the formation of management structures to coordinate socio-economic development (for example, project administrations) on the territory of several constituent entities of the Russian Federation or several municipal entities within the framework of one constituent entity of the Federation. Development of financial mechanisms to support the activities of these inter-regional and inter-municipal administrations (hereinafter referred to as project administrations). Improving the mechanisms of interaction between state and municipal authorities, public organizations and other civil society institutions and business structures operating in the territory of several constituent entities of the Russian Federation and / or municipalities

SYNTHESIS AND STUDY OF HIGHLY INTERCALATED FexTi2S4 COMPOUNDS

Compounds FexTi2S4 (1 ≤ x ≤ 1.5) were obtained and studied by means of X-ray diffrac-tion, magnetization and magnetoresistance measurements. The results are discussed under the assumption that the mixing of Fe and Ti plays a significant role in changing the properties with increasing iron content. The work has been supported by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation under project FEUZ-2020-0054

Calculation of a Rectangular Plate for Transverse Load and its Implementation on a Computer

The article deals with the development and implementation of a computer program in the educational process to solve one of the most common problems in the theory of elasticity – the calculation of a thin rectangular plate for a transverse load.Рассматриваются вопросы по разработке и внедрению в учебный процесс программы для ЭВМ по решению одной из наиболее распространенных задач теории упругости — расчету тонкой прямоугольной пластины на поперечную нагрузку

WHEAT GRAIN BIOTECHNOLOGICAL PROCESSING IN ORDER TO GET BIOETHANOL

This article is devoted to modern energy and bioenergy problems. In this paper we investigate the wheat grain biotechnological processing in order to produce bioethanol. The analysis identifies positive and negative aspects of bioethanol in terms of energy. The paper also examines each step of the bioethanol synthesis by wheat grain biotechnological processing in detail.

Effect of intergrain exchange interaction on magnetic viscosity of nanocrystalline isotropic NdFeB magnets

The coefficient of magnetic viscosity, S, of NdFeB alloys with varied intergrain exchange interaction constant, K IEI, was measured. The observed dependences of fluctuation field, H f, on the applied field, H, are strongly correlated with K IEI value. Cooperative magnetization reversal of single domain interacting particles leads to improve the temperature stability of permanent magnets and magnetic systems based on them. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd

Diagnosing MALT Gastric Lymphoma in Gastroenterologist’s Practice, a Clinical Observation

Aim. A clinical case description to highlight challenges in diagnosing MALT lymphoma presented in infiltrative ulcer-ative lesions.Key points. A 60-yo patient was admitted to the Loginov Moscow Clinical Scientific Centre with epigastric pain and an 18 kg weight loss over past 4 months. A history of repeated outpatient endoscopic examinations revealing subse-quently ulcerative and infiltrative ulcerative gastric lesions of unestablished origin. A complex examination combin-ing oesophagogastroduodenoscopy (OGDS), endosonography (EUS), multislice computed tomography (MSCT), morphological and immunohistochemical (IHC) assays elicited the MALT gastric lymphoma IIE stage involving para-gastric and intraperitoneal lymph nodes. The first treatment stage included line-1 eradication therapy, rabeprazole 20 mg x 2 times a day, amoxicillin 1000 mg x 2 times a day, clarithromycin 500 mg x 2 times a day, bismuth tripotas-sium dicitrate 240 mg x 2 times a day — for 14 days. Accounting for the process prevalence and stage, six courses of R-CHOP polychemotherapy (PCT) were ordered by haematologist.Conclusion. This observation demonstrates a targeted-biopsy endoscopic examination followed by morphological, IHC, EUS (for invasion depth) and MSCT (for process advancement) assays to be decisive in differential diagnosis of ulcerative and infiltrative ulcerative gastric lesions
