    Framework for efficient transformation for complex medical data for improving analytical capability

    The adoption of various technological advancement has been already adopted in the area of healthcare sector. This adoption facilitates involuntary generation of medical data that can be autonomously programmed to be forwarded to a destined hub in the form of cloud storage units. However, owing to such technologies there is massive formation of complex medical data that significantly acts as an overhead towards performing analytical operation as well as unwanted storage utilization. Therefore, the proposed system implements a novel transformation technique that is capable of using a template based stucture over cloud for generating structured data from highly unstructured data in a non-conventional manner. The contribution of the propsoed methodology is that it offers faster processing and storage optimization. The study outcome also proves this fact to show propsoed scheme excels better in performance in contrast to existing data transformation scheme

    Controlled Population of Floquet-Bloch States via Coupling to Bose and Fermi Baths

    External driving is emerging as a promising tool for exploring new phases in quantum systems. The intrinsically non-equilibrium states that result, however, are challenging to describe and control. We study the steady states of a periodically driven one-dimensional electronic system, including the effects of radiative recombination, electron-phonon interactions, and the coupling to an external fermionic reservoir. Using a kinetic equation for the populations of the Floquet eigenstates, we show that the steady-state distribution can be controlled using the momentum and energy relaxation pathways provided by the coupling to phonon and Fermi reservoirs. In order to utilize the latter, we propose to couple the system and reservoir via an energy filter which suppresses photon-assisted tunneling. Importantly, coupling to these reservoirs yields a steady state resembling a band insulator in the Floquet basis. The system exhibits incompressible behavior, while hosting a small density of excitations. We discuss transport signatures, and describe the regimes where insulating behavior is obtained.     Estimation of genetic diversity in rice (Oryza sativa L.) genotypes using SSR markers and morphological characters

    Thirty rice genotypes comprising land races, pure lines, somaclones, breeding lines and varieties specifically adapted to costal saline environments were characterized by SSR markers and morphological characters in this study. Out of 35 primers of SSR markers, 28 were found to be polymorphic. The PIC value ranged from 0.064 (RM 274) to 0.72 (RM 580) with an average of 0.46. The Jaccard’s similarity coefficient ranged from 0.42 to 0.90. At the genetic similarity of 56% the genotypes were grouped into five clusters. PCA components explained 41.6% of variation. There was overlapping of tolerant genotypes and susceptible genotypes within the cluster. Morphological traits of each genotype were measured on five randomly chosen plants. The matrix of average taxonomic distance was estimated using Euclidian distance. The average taxonomic distance ranged from 1.5 to 7.78. At a Euclidean distance of 3.49, the 30 genotypes were grouped into IV clusters. The clustering pattern clearly grouped the genotypes based on their response to salinity and clustering was not based ontheir geographical origin. PCA components explained 38.4% of variation

    Inclusion of higher-temperature effects in a soil behaviour model

    This technical note presents a coupled thermo-hydro-mechanical model for unsaturated soil, which can be applied in the context of high temperature. A new pore gas or bulk air transfer equation is introduced. Additionally the effect of temperature on the latent heat of vapourisation and specific heat capacities is incorporated. Adsorbed water is also included. The performance of the model is demonstrated via the simulation of a high temperature (150°C) thermo-hydraulic-mechanical experiment carried out on a column of MX-80 bentonite by Commissarait à l'Energie Atomique, France. The model showed good correlation of experimental and numerical result

    Steady state of interacting Floquet insulators

    Floquet engineering offers tantalizing opportunities for controlling the dynamics of quantum many-body systems and realizing new nonequilibrium phases of matter. However, this approach faces a major challenge: generic interacting Floquet systems absorb energy from the drive, leading to uncontrolled heating which washes away the sought-after behavior. How to achieve and control a nontrivial nonequilibrium steady state is therefore of crucial importance. In this work, we study the dynamics of an interacting one-dimensional periodically driven electronic system coupled to a phonon heat bath. Using the Floquet-Boltzmann equation (FBE) we show that the electronic populations of the Floquet eigenstates can be controlled by the dissipation. We find the regime in which the steady state features an insulator-like filling of the Floquet bands, with a low density of additional excitations. Furthermore, we develop a simple rate equation model for the steady state excitation density that captures the behavior obtained from the numerical solution of the FBE over a wide range of parameters

    Microbiome analyses of pacific white shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) collected from disparate geographical locations

    In this study, the tail muscle microbiota of pacific white shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) sourced from five countries across Central and South America and Southeast Asia were determined and compared. The genomic DNA was sequenced at around 10 Ă— coverage for each geographical location and was assembled de novo for comparative analysis. The assembled sequences for all the lines were classified based on their similarity to the sequences in the public database. We found that there is high correlation among the microbiota of shrimp from disparate regions, as well as the presence of some DNA from bacteria known to cause food poisoning in humans.
