    Gen Z as Halal Consumers: Omani Scope

    This study aimed to describe knowledge, attitudes, perception and behavior of Gen Z (born in between 1997-2012)group towards Halal concept in Oman. The study has been designed as survey to collect quantitative data fromprimary sources via questionnaire. Non-probability sampling methods were employed due to COVID-19 restrictions at data collection stage. Findings of the study are supporting to earlier studies which have reported low knowledge, awareness, consciousness, attention about Halal product among Muslims especially in Islamic Law compliant countries. Halal concerns of Gen Z were averagely recorded and Halal consumer behaviors have not been significantly differentiated by gender, education level, marital status, income, habitat, source of personal income, knowledge level about Halal, shopping mode, and shopping frequency in Omani context

    Examining Hidden Curriculum of Anatolian Teacher Training High Schools in Terms of Preparation for Teaching Profession

    The aim of this research is to reveal how hidden curriculum of Anatolian Teacher Training High Schools (ATTHS) influenced these schools’ curricular goals. The research was carried out as a qualitative case study with a sample of 11 ATTHS graduate, studying at 1st grade of Uludağ University Education Faculty English Language Teaching or Special Education departments. For data collection a semi-structured interview form, developed by researchers, and for data analysis inductive content analysis were used. According to results, students prefer ATTHS to get qualified education or to deserve extra points at University Entrance Exam rather than to be a teacher. In ATTHS, there are messages related to teaching profession as pictures and writings on the walls of the building but not help students develop positive attitude toward teaching profession. Students think that in ATTHS Teacher Certificate Courses are not attached importance and instruction of these courses is not proper. Attitude and behavior of teachers and administrators do not include messages, improving and reinforcing students affective characteristics related to teaching. To sum up, hidden curriculum of ATTHS does not coincide with goals of these schools yet they even contradict.     Bu araştırmada Eğitim Fakültesi öğrencilerinin öğretmenlik meslek bilgisi (ÖMB) derslerine yönelik görüşleri tespit edilmiştir. Araştırma Uludağ ve Gazi Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi öğrencileri üzerinde yapılmıştır. Araştırmanın sonucunda öğrencilerin öğretmenlik mesleğine ve ÖMB derslerine giren öğretim elemanlarına olumlu baktıkları, ÖMB derslerinin gerekliliğinin farkında oldukları, buna karşılık ÖMB derslerine yönelik düşüncelerinin çok olumlu olmadığı ortaya çıkmıştır. Araştırmada elde edilen sonuçlar ilgili literatüre dayalı olarak yorumlanmıştı

    önceki çalışmalarda kardiyak kateterizasyonda tesbit edilen mitral kapak alanı ile mitral darlıklı ve önemsiz mit ral kaçağı olan hastalarda, M-mode ekokardiyografide ölçül on mitral yapraklarının diyastolik make imal uzaklığı ( DMU),diyas- tolik kapansa nazı (EF) »ve anterior kapak hareketi(DE) karşı laş tır ılaış, her üç değerle mitral kapak alanı (MKA) arasında istatistiksel bir ilişkinin olduğu bildirilmişti. Ancak EF ile DE ölçümünüm istatistiksel önemi bulunmasına rağmen, alanı tah min etmede DMU kadar değerli olmadığı da belirtilmişti. Çalışmamızda M-mode ekokardiyografide belirlenen DMU değerinim,kate teriz asy onla değil, iki boyutlu ekokardiyografi İle ölçülen mitral kapak alana ile ilişkisini araştırmak is tedik. Ayrıca her iki parametre arasında olumlu bir korelas yon tesbit edilirse, sadece M-mode ekokardiyografide tesbit: edilen DMU değerime bakarak, mitral kapak alanınım hesap edi lip edilemeyeceğini de belirlemeyide amaçladık. Bu amaçla klinik, el ektrokardiyografik,röntgenolojik ve ekokardiy o grafik olarak belirlenen sinüs ritmindeki saf mitral darlıkla 25 kadım, 2 erkek toplam 2? hastada, İki bo yutlu ekokardiyografide ölçülen MKA ile,M-mode ekokardiyo grafide ölçül em DMU arasındaki ilişkiyi araştırdık. İki de ğer arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir korelasyon bulduk.DMU değerinin 10 mm ve altında olduğu vakaların cid di bir darlıkla,15 mm ve üzerindeki vakaların hafif darlık la beraber olduğunu, 11 -14 mm arasındaki DMU değerinin ise orta darlıkla birlikte olduğunu ve mitral kapak alanı ile daha belirgin bir korelasyon gösterdiğini ortaya koyduk
