In diesem Artikel wird auf die lückenhafte lexikografische Darbietung von paradigmatisch-syntagmatischen Beziehungen hingewiesen und auf neue, korpusgestützte methodologische Verfahren der lexikosemantischen Analyse eingegangen. Im Mittelpunkt steht das am Mannheimer Institut für Deutsche Sprache entwickelte topografische Modell CNS (Contrasting Near Synonyms), dessen Beitrag für die Erforschung der Synonymie am Beispiel deutscher Adjektive "fühlbar" vs. "spürbar" präsentiert wird

Extraction of Semantic Relations from Text

Práce se zabývá extrakcí sémantických vztahů z anglických textů. Zaměřuje se především na použití syntaktické analýzy pro extrakci příznaků, které využívá jak pro různé statistické metody, tak i pro metodu založenou na syntaktických vzorech. Je vyhodnocena metoda extrakce vztahu hypernymie srovnáním s anglickým thesaurem WordNet. Na základě zkoumaných metod je pak navržen systém pro extrakci sémantických vztahů z textu spolu s uživatelským rozhraním, které je rovněž implementováno.Extraction of semantic relations from English text is the topic of this thesis. It focuses on exploitation of a dependency parser. A method based on syntactic patterns is proposed and evaluated in addition to evaluation of several statistical methods over syntactic features. It applies the methods for extraction of a hypernymy relation and evaluates it on the WordNet thesaurus. A system for extraction of semantic relations from text is designed and implemented based on these methods.

Phase formation and structural transformation of strontium ferrite SrFeOx

Non-stoichiometric strontium iron oxide is described by an abbreviated formula SrFeOx (2.5 ≤ x ≤ 3.0) exhibits a variety of interesting physical and chemical properties over a broad range of temperatures and in different gaseous environments. The oxide contains a mixture of iron in the trivalent and the rare tetravalent state. The material at elevated temperature is a mixed oxygen conductor and it, or its derivatives,can have practical applications in oxygen conducting devices such as pressure driven oxygen generators, partial oxidation reactors in electrodes for solid oxide fuel cells (SOFC). ¶ This thesis examines the behaviour of the material at ambient and elevated temperatures using a broad spectrum of solid state experimental techniques such as: x-ray and neutron powder diffraction,thermogravimetric and calorimetric methods,scanning electron microscopy and Mossbauer spectroscopy. Changes in the oxide were induced using conventional thermal treatment in various atmospheres as well as mechanical energy (ball milling). ¶ ..

Angaben zur deutschen Standardaussprache im entstehenden "Großen deutsch-tschechischen akademischen Wörterbuch" (GDTAW) als Kunst des Möglichen

The present article considers how and to which extent the correct German pronunciation is to be entered into the "German-Czech Academic Dictionary" (LGCAD) being written. The authors state that the codified pronunciation of the German Standard ("deutschländisches Deutsch") is the most suitable pronunciation norm because it represents most German speakers despite its many existing variations. This norm, represented by DUDEN, vol. 6 ("Das Aussprachewörterbuch"), is commented with special regard to the role of the German standard in foreign language teaching in the Czech Republic. The authors claim that the teachers ("model speakers" according to Ulrich Ammon’s model of four social forces) as well as dictionary users have to follow a single codified pronunciation norm. For practical reasons, regional varieties shall be selected only according to the "Duden Universalwörterbuch" and "Variantenwörterbuch". Dark matter and dark energy as a effects of Modified Gravity

We explain the effect of dark matter (flat rotation curve) using modified gravitational dynamics. We investigate in this context a low energy limit of generalized general relativity with a nonlinear Lagrangian ${\cal L}\propto R^n$, where $R$ is the (generalized) Ricci scalar and $n$ is parameter estimated from SNIa data. We estimate parameter $\beta$ in modified gravitational potential $V(r) \propto -\frac{1}{r}(1+(\frac{r}{r_c})^{\beta})$. Then we compare value of $\beta$ obtained from SNIa data with $\beta$ parameter evaluated from the best fitted rotation curve. We find $\beta \simeq 0.7$ which becomes in good agreement with an observation of spiral galaxies rotation curve. We also find preferred value of $\Omega_{m,0}$ from the combined analysis of supernovae data and baryon oscillation peak. We argue that although amount of "dark energy" (of non-substantial origin) is consistent with SNIa data and flat curves of spiral galaxies are reproduces in the framework of modified Einstein's equation we still need substantial dark matter. For comparison predictions of the model with predictions of the $\Lambda$CDM concordance model we apply the Akaike and Bayesian information criteria of model selection.Comment: Lectures given at 42nd Karpacz Winter School of Theoretical Physics: Ladek, Poland, 6-11 Feb 200

Focused Ion Beam Milling and Deposition of Tungsten Contacts on Exfoliated Graphene for Electronic Device Applications

We demonstrate a rapid-prototyping method for the fabrication of electrical structures from exfoliated graphene using focused ion beam (FIB) assisted deposition of tungsten and milling. Alignment accuracies of less than 250 nm are achieved without imaging of the graphene using the FIB beam. Parameters for the FIB assisted deposition on graphene have to be controlled exactly to avoid damage to the underlying graphene. Measured channel resistance of 58 k? shows a good electrical contact between deposited tungsten and graphene

Článek vychází ze současného stavu možností soudně znalecké analýzy dopravních nehod. V dnešní době jsou již velmi podrobně propracovány metody výpočtů nehodových dějů, chování modelů dopravních prostředků před střetem, během něj a po střetu. I přes rozsáhlý matematický popis chování jednotlivých entit při výpočtu se jedná o simulaci a výsledek je závislý na dosazených vstupních hodnotách a počátečních podmínkách. Tyto informace jsou nezastupitelné a jen obtížně je lze nahradit, neboť mají podstatný vliv na řešení nehodového děje a tedy i na výsledek znaleckého zkoumání

Aussiger Beiträge 5/2011 : Schlüsselkompetenz Germanistik. Profile und Perspektiven einer Disziplin im Wandel

Das Rahmenthema der vorliegenden Ausgabe der Aussiger Beiträge 5 lautet "Schlüsselkompetenz Germanistik. Profile und Perspektiven einer Disziplin im Wandel". Mit diesem Thema verbinden sich Fragestellungen, die nicht nur hinsichtlich aktueller Debatten um Deutsch als Wissenschaftssprache, sondern auch für das gesellschaftliche Verständnis eines Faches bzw. das Selbstverständnis seiner Vertreter von höchster Bedeutung sind. Die Herausgeber nahmen dies zum Anlass, die Situation der Germanistik vor dem Horizont ihrer schwierigen Herausforderungen, vor allem aber ihrer Ressourcen, Potentiale und Möglichkeiten in den Blick zu rücken. Dazu führte zunächst eine einfache analytische Vorüberlegung: In den vergangenen zwei Jahrzehnten haben die Geisteswissenschaften einen grundlegenden Wandlungsprozess durchlaufen, der mit einschneidenden Veränderungen in allen Bereichen einherging. Auch in der Germanistik lässt sich diese Entwicklung beobachten – wenngleich in oft zwiespältiger Form: Haben sich auf der einen Seite vielfältige Möglichkeiten ergeben, philologische Forschungen technisch zu optimieren, zu vernetzen, zu publizieren und damit eine größere Öffentlichkeit zu erreichen, so ist auf der anderen Seite ein schwindendes gesellschaftliches Interesse zu vermerken, das den philologischen Disziplinen letzthin einen eher marginalen Platz in der Wissenschaftslandschaft zuweist. Die Umprofilierung der Geisteswissenschaften zu 'Hilfswissenschaften' mag vielen als irreversibler Imageverlust erscheinen, ist aber bei näherem Besehen durchaus als Chance zu begreifen: Wo immer es gilt, innerhalb hochspezialisierter 'Leitwissenschaften' wichtige Schnittstellen herzustellen, könnten Geisteswissenschaften entscheidende Beiträge leisten. Die Fähigkeit zu Reflexion und interdisziplinärem Denken auf der Basis gemeinsamer referenzieller Bezugswerte – Sprache, Literatur, Kultur – erweist sich unter solchen Vorzeichen als Schlüsselkompetenz. Aber sind sich Geisteswissenschaftler dessen immer bewusst
