SecDec-3.0: numerical evaluation of multi-scale integrals beyond one loop
SecDec is a program which can be used for the factorization of dimensionally
regulated poles from parametric integrals, in particular multi-loop integrals,
and the subsequent numerical evaluation of the finite coefficients. Here we
present version 3.0 of the program, which has major improvements compared to
version 2: it is faster, contains new decomposition strategies, an improved
user interface and various other new features which extend the range of

Numerical evaluation of two-loop integrals with pySecDec
We describe the program pySecDec, which factorises endpoint singularities
from multi-dimensional parameter integrals and can serve to calculate integrals
occurring in higher order perturbative calculations numerically. We focus on
the new features and on frequently asked questions about the usage of the

Higgs boson pair production in gluon fusion at NLO with full top-quark mass dependence
We present the calculation of the cross section and invariant mass
distribution for Higgs boson pair production in gluon fusion at next-to-leading
order (NLO) in QCD. Top-quark masses are fully taken into account throughout
the calculation. The virtual two-loop amplitude has been generated using an
extension of the program GoSam supplemented with an interface to Reduze for the
integral reduction. The occurring integrals have been calculated numerically
using the program SecDec. Our results, including the full top-quark mass
dependence for the first time, allow us to assess the validity of various
approximations proposed in the literature, which we also recalculate. We find
substantial deviations between the NLO result and the different approximations,
which emphasizes the importance of including the full top-quark mass dependence

Differential Gene Expression in Liver, Gill, and Olfactory Rosettes of Coho Salmon (Oncorhynchus kisutch) After Acclimation to Salinity.
Most Pacific salmonids undergo smoltification and transition from freshwater to saltwater, making various adjustments in metabolism, catabolism, osmotic, and ion regulation. The molecular mechanisms underlying this transition are largely unknown. In the present study, we acclimated coho salmon (Oncorhynchus kisutch) to four different salinities and assessed gene expression through microarray analysis of gills, liver, and olfactory rosettes. Gills are involved in osmotic regulation, liver plays a role in energetics, and olfactory rosettes are involved in behavior. Between all salinity treatments, liver had the highest number of differentially expressed genes at 1616, gills had 1074, and olfactory rosettes had 924, using a 1.5-fold cutoff and a false discovery rate of 0.5. Higher responsiveness of liver to metabolic changes after salinity acclimation to provide energy for other osmoregulatory tissues such as the gills may explain the differences in number of differentially expressed genes. Differentially expressed genes were tissue- and salinity-dependent. There were no known genes differentially expressed that were common to all salinity treatments and all tissues. Gene ontology term analysis revealed biological processes, molecular functions, and cellular components that were significantly affected by salinity, a majority of which were tissue-dependent. For liver, oxygen binding and transport terms were highlighted. For gills, muscle, and cytoskeleton-related terms predominated and for olfactory rosettes, immune response-related genes were accentuated. Interaction networks were examined in combination with GO terms and determined similarities between tissues for potential osmosensors, signal transduction cascades, and transcription factors
Predictors of Adherence to Nutrition Recommendations in People With Non- Insulin-Dependent Diabetes Mellitus
The purpose of this study was to determine how the components of psychosocial adjustment to diabetes predict adherence to nutrition recommendations based on self-reported successful completion of contingency contracts. The relationships between the components of psychosocial adjustment and adherence to nutrition recommendations were examined in a convenience sample of patients with non-insulin- dependent diabetes mellitus participating in a contingency contracting intervention with nurses. Patients completed a standardized instrument, the Diabetes Care Profile, at the time they were enrolled into this randomized clinical trial. High and low levels of adherence to nutrition recommendations were identified by a median split of the number of contingency contracts completed for adherence to nutrition recommendations. Subjects who reported higher regimen adherence and a higher support ratio (received more diabetes-specific social support than desired) were significantly less likely to engage in contingency contracting for adherence to nutrition recommendations .Peer Reviewedhttp://deepblue.lib.umich.edu/bitstream/2027.42/68967/2/10.1177_014572179702300206.pd
Numerical scattering amplitudes with pySecDec
We present a major update of the program pySecDec, a toolbox for the evaluation of dimensionally regulated parameter integrals. The new version enables the evaluation of multi-loop integrals as well as amplitudes in a highly distributed and flexible way, optionally on GPUs. The program has been optimised and runs up to an order of magnitude faster than the previous release. A new integration procedure that utilises construction-free median Quasi-Monte Carlo rules is implemented. The median lattice rules can outperform our previous component-by-component rules by a factor of 5 and remove the limitation on the maximum number of sampling points. The expansion by regions procedures have been extended to support Feynman integrals with numerators, and functions for automatically determining when and how analytic regulators should be introduced are now available. The new features and performance are illustrated with several examples
