The present paper presented the methods and devices for computer-based education in undergraduate course of psychology in Department of Human Sciences of Kobe College, and the results of survey concerning the computer-based education in two classes of undergraduate course of psychology. The computer-based education mainly consisted of computer-based presentation, "Q & A" and web-pages about the lectures. The result of survey revealed that students generally regarded the computer-based education highly valuable. They also answered that computer-based presentation was easy to understand although they hoped to reduce amount of the presentation per hour especially for introductory course of psychology. About half of them accessed the web-page of the lecture and more than 90% Of the students wanted to continue the presentation of information by web-pages. These findings showed that undergraduate students preferred the computer-based education to the traditional lecture using the blackboard. Moreover, the internetbased interactive education, "e-learning", should be introduced especially for the knowledge education in undergraduate students in the near future

Shuttle cards have been used to increase interactive class communication. The cards enable us to take students\u27 attendance, opinions, questions and etc. They also are useful for a teacher in charge to check students\u27 level of understanding of topics, answer some of their questions in the next class session, and make supplementary web pages to satisfy their questions. However, recently, almost all students possess their own mobile phones. As a result, they have been used possibility as the means for education. So, we asked students their opinions on using mobile mails for attendance check and other functions instead of the shuttle cards. Naturally, many students were positive, but some were strongly negative for the reason that they feel insecure not knowing whether the teacher had received their mobile mail or not. To ease their anxiety, we implemented an auto replying system to inform the students that the teacher had checked their attendance. The system will also collect their messages, and deliver them to the teacher electronically. For this system, students are requested to send a password which has been given to them in the classroom. As a result, the teacher is able to take accurate attendance of the class. Thus, this new mobile mail system has become an effective tool for the teacher to create quick and convenient interactive class communication, replacing the function of the shuttle cards

Recently, interest in cognitive management for pain has increased in health psychology, especially in women\u27s health psychology. The purpose of the present study is to develop a Japanese version of Coping Strategy Questionnaire(CSQ) for daily pain, and to examine its factorial validity and reliability. The CSQ includes six cognitive coping strategies (deverting attention, reinterpreting pain sensations, coping self-statements, ignoring pain sensations, praying or hoping, and catastrophizing) and two behavior). Participants were 234 undergraduate students(33 make and 201 female), who were asked to complete the translated CSQ, evaluation of daily pain, and Center for Epidemiological Studies Depression scale(CES-D). The results show that I) factor analysis reveals six subscales of cognitive coping strategies and two sub scales of behavioral coping strategies, 2) scale reliability of Cronbach\u27s α as a measuring device is confirmed,3) participants who marked high scores in daily pain frequently used the catastrophizing coping strategy but did not use the coping self-statements,and 4) high scores in daily pain correspond to high depression scores. These results suggest that cognitive pain management and primary prevention would be necessary for the reduction of daily pain
