    Periodizing the Residuality of a Composite Protest Art Form: The Case of Telangana \u3cem\u3eDhoom Dham\u3c/em\u3e

    The article will document the emergence of the composite art form of “Dhoom Dham” in the state of Telangana, a southern state from India. A mixture of folk song-and-dance routines interspersed with political speeches, Dhoom Dham emerged as a potent form of political protest during the Telangana statehood movement and dominated the cultural imaginary of the movement. It has the characteristics of a residual cultural form as conceptualized by Raymond Williams. Dhoom Dham masterfully combined the elements of folk and repurposed the left protest music traditions to help the cause of the formation of separate state of Telangana. The article will theorize and document a history of the art form starting from its roots in the traditions of left-wing protest music to its contemporary predicament. Dhoom Dham\u27s site of struggle is the state of Telangana and its villages. Dhoom Dham artists during the movement toured every village of Telangana and spread word about the struggles of the people and articulated the nature of their oppression. The first section will outline the socio-economic and historical context of the Telangana movement. The second section will trace the residuality of Dhoom Dham through a history of protest music in the region. The third section will theorize the art form using Walter Benjamin’s idea of politics of aestheticization and engage with the critical and subversive potential of the art form

Green cloud computing is the science and practise of properlydesigning, manufacturing, using, and disposing of computers, servers,and associated subsystems like displays,printers, storage devices, and networking and communication systems while minimising or eliminatingenvironmental impact. The most significant reason for a data centre review is to understand capacity,dependability, durability,algorithmic efficiency, resource allocation, virtualization, power management, andother elements. The green cloud design aims to reduce data centre power consumption. The main advantageof green cloud computing architecture is that it ensures real-time performance whilereducing IDC’s energyconsumption (internet data center).This paper analyzed the difficultiesfaced by data centers such as capacityplanning and management, up-time and performance maintenance, energy efficiency and cost cutting, realtime monitoring and reporting. The solution for the identified problems with DCIM system is also presentedin this paper. Finally, it discusses the market report’s coverage of green data centres, green computingprinciples, andfuture research challenges. This comprehensive green cloud analysis study will assist nativegreen research fellows in learning about green cloud concerns and understanding future research challengesin the field

    Metagenomic analysis of intestinal microbiota in geese from different farming systems in Gunungpati, Semarang

    The diversity of intestinal bacteria in geese correlates with environmental conditions, rearing methods, and consumed feeds. The intestinal bacteria composition is useful for the absorption of nutrition, improving the metabolism, and may be related to the immune system. This study was conducted to examine the intestinal bacteria composition and the diversity of maintained goose in aviaries and barns. This research was an observational exploratory. Five geese were taken purposively from local breeders in Gunungpati District, Semarang City. A total of 5 g of intestinal contents from each sample was used for microbial genome isolation. Then, the genome was amplified to collect 16S rRNA gene region V3-V4. The amplicons were then sequenced using the next generation sequencing (NGS) method (Illumina high-throughput sequencing; paired-end reads) and analyzed using QIIME2 to identify bacterial species. In addition, GC-MS was performed to identify and measure fatty acid contents in the intestinal. The results showed that both rearing and caged goose contained nine phyla of intestinal bacteria. The number of intestinal bacteria of barn geese (SU) reached 32,748 Operational Taxonomy Units (OTU); higher than aviary geese (SK), which was 11,646 OTU. The intestinal bacteria community in barn geese was approved by Phylum TM7 (Saccharibacteria candidate) (53.18%), followed by Firmicutes (32.51%) and Bacteriodetes (5.42%). Whereas on SK Firmicutes was compiled 49.3 4% of total OTU, TM7 (S. candidate) up to 21.17%, and Actinobacteria up to 15.99 %. The abundance of TM7 may contribute to high 9,12-octadecadienoic acid production, while Firmicutes was related to the high production of oleic acid. Based on these data, the reared geese had a more abundant diversity of bacteria than the caged one

    Small Carnivores of Biligiri Rangaswamy Temple Tiger Reserve, Karnataka, India

    During the present study in Biligiri Rangaswamy Temple Tiger Reserve (BRT), nine species of small carnivores viz., Jungle Cat Felis chaus, Rusty-spotted Cat Prionalilurus rubiginosus, Leopard Cat Prionailurus bengalensis, Small Indian Civet Viverricula indica, Asian Palm Civet Paradoxurus hermaphroditus, Striped-necked Mongoose Herpestes vitticollis, Ruddy Mongoose Herpestes smithii, Common Mongoose Herpestes edwardsii and Smooth-coated Otter Lutrogale perspicillata, were recorded using camera-trapping technique, transect walks, and night surveys. Vegetation type strongly influences the presence and abundance of each species. The most sightings of small carnivores occurred in dry deciduous forests. Among all the species, the Asian Palm Civet was the most abundant and was followed by the small Indian Civet. Compared to many other forests or regions in India, the sight records of the Rusty-spotted Cat were relatively higher in BRT. Although we were unable to use statistical methods to search for higher levels of interdependencies between forest types and small carnivore abundance, our study sheds light on patterns of small carnivore distribution in this unique habitat which bridges the Western Ghats and the Eastern Ghats

    Electrified transportation will help to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and petrol prices. Electrified transportation demands that a wide variety of charging networks be set up, in a user-friendly environment, to encourage adoption. Wireless electric vehicle charging systems (WEVCS) can be a potential alternative technology to charge electric vehicles (EVs) without any plug-in problems. This paper outlines the currently available wireless power transfer technology for EVs. In addition, it also includes wireless transformer structures with a variety of ferrite shapes, which have been researched. WEVCS are associated with health and safety issues, which have been discussed with the current development in international standards. Two major applications, static and dynamic WEVCS, are explained, and up-to-date progress with features from research laboratories, universities, and industries is recorded. Moreover, future upcoming concepts-based WEVCS, such as ‘‘vehicle-to-grid (V2G)” and ‘‘in-wheel” wireless charging systems (WCS) are reviewed and examined, with qualitative comparisons with other existing technology

    Durability study on ambient cured geopolymer concrete made with various molarities of NaOH

    Geopolimerni beton inovativna je varijacija konvencionalnog građevnog materijala koja smanjuje utjecaj proizvodnje običnog portlandskog cementa (OPC) na okoliš, a istovremeno poboljšava učinkovitu primjenu industrijskih nusproizvoda. Promjenom molariteta natrijevog hidroksida na 4M, 6M, 8M, 10M i 12M, za ovo je istraživanje pripremljeno pet kombinacija geopolimernog betona. Nakon 28 dana njegovanja na sobnoj temperaturi, procijenjena su svojstva čvrstoće, tj. tlačna čvrstoća (DT i NDT), vlačna čvrstoća cijepanjem i čvrstoća na savijanje. Potom su ispitana i svojstva trajnosti kao što su početno upijanje vode, upijanje vode do zasićenja, sorptivnost, prosječna efektivna poroznost, otpornost na habanje i otpornost na kemijsko djelovanje. Rezultati istraživanja geopolimernog betona uspoređeni su s rezultatima istraživanja betona OPC razreda M35. Rezultati eksperimentalnog ispitivanja pokazali su da, s iznimkom GPC-4M, ostale geopolimerne mješavine betona zadovoljavaju zahtjeve ciljane čvrstoće betona razreda M35. Rezultati istraživanja otkrili su da su se GPC-8M betonski uzorci pokazali kao najbolji u smislu svojstva čvrstoće i trajnosti. Stoga se umjesto OPC betona preporučuje raširenija uporaba geopolimernog betona, koji se priprema s letećim pepelom i mljevenom granuliranom zgurom iz visokih peći te njeguje na temperaturi okoline.Geopolymer concrete is an innovative variation of the conventional construction material that reduces the environmental impact of producing Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC) while simultaneously improving the efficient use of industrial by-products. By altering the molarities of sodium hydroxide to 4M, 6M, 8M, 10M, and 12M, five combinations of geopolymer concrete were prepared for this study. After 28 days of curing at room temperature, the strength properties, viz., the compressive strength (DT and NDT), the splitting tensile strength, and the flexural strength were evaluated. Additionally, the durability properties such as the initial water absorption, saturated water absorption, sorptivity, average effective porosity, abrasion resistance, and chemical attack resistance were studied as well. All the findings of the geopolymer concrete were compared to those of the M35 grade OPC concrete. The experimental test results showed that, with the exception of GPC-4M, the other Geopolymer concrete mixtures met the target strength requirements of the M35 grade concrete. The findings revealed that the GPC-8M concrete specimens performed the best in terms of strength and durability. Consequently, widespread use of geopolymer concrete, which is prepared with fly ash (FA) and ground granulated blast-furnace slag and cured in ambient air, is recommended instead of OPC concrete
