Magnetic and Low Temperature Conductivity Studies in Oxidized Nano Ni Films
A set of single layered nanostructured Ni films of thickness, t = 25 nm, 50 nm, 75 nm and 100 nm have been deposited using electron beam gun evaporation technique at 473 K under high vacuum condition. From the grazing incidence X-ray diffraction (GIXRD) studies, NiO phase formation has been noted. Grain sizes of the films were determined. The microstructure was examined by scanning electron microscope (SEM) studies. Average surface roughness was determined by atomic force microscope (AFM). The room temperature magnetization has been measured using the vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM). The coercive field was observed to be increasing with increasing t and became maximum for t = 75 nm and decreases for further increase in t. The behavior of coercive field with t indicated softness of the films. Low temperature electrical conductivity in the range from 5 K to 300 K has been measured. Temperature dependence of electrical conductivity showed semiconducting behavior. At temperatures above θD/2 (θD is the Debye temperature), the conductivity behavior has been understood in the light of Mott’s small polaron hopping model and activation energies were determined. An attempt has been made to understand conductivity variation below θD/2 using variable range hopping models due to Mott and Greaves.

A critical review on Skin Care Routine according to Ayurveda
Twacha is also called (skin) which covers the entire body. Skin is the largest organ plays an important role in maintaining normal physiological conditions in human. So, a detailed study of Twak is important as it is the seat for all Twacha Rogas. Ayurveda ancient science has noticed its characteristics many years back. This article highlights known and lesser known skin functions, their modality in patient health status, and it is a boon for Ayurvedic diagnostic methodology, which is described in detail in this article
Importance of Jala in Ayurveda
Jala is one among the Pancha Mahabhuta originated from Tejo Mahabuta it plays very important role in our day today activities and formation of the body, maintenance of health and treating the diseases. Total 60% of the body is composed of water. So, to maintain body as per Samanya Vishesha Siddhanta Jala have more importance. It is source of health if taken at right time and in appropriate quantity. Ayurvedic literature gives very experienced knowledge about usage of water related to health as well as improper water ingestion relating to disorders
An approach towards Pain Management w.s.r. to Udavartini Yonivyapat
In Ayurveda, diseases related to the female reproductive system i.e., gynaecological disorders are described under the caption of Yoni Vyapada. Women have been placed on an extreme worshiping place due to their power of ‘Janani’- creation. it is needed to give proper care and respect to women. God has blessed the female with the most valuable gift of motherhood.[1] The preparation of motherhood starts with puberty when Rajah-Pravriti i.e., menstruation begins.[2] and by the age of 16 it is fully completed after which she is capable of childbearing.[3] Udavarta Yonivyapada or painful menstruation is a common problem of the females in the reproductive age group & has got a detailed patho-physiology and treatment in the classical literature of Ayurveda.[4] “Arthave Sa Vimukthe Tu Tat Kshanam Labhate Sukham” mentioned by Acharya Charaka substantiate the close similarity of Udavarta with spasmodic dysmenorrhoea. Vegodavarthana leading to Pratiloma Gati of Apana Vata and Rajas is the pathology behind Udavartha Yonivyapath. So, treatment should aim at the relief of pain by normalising the direction of menstrual flow which in turn is by normalising the vitiated Apana Vayu. The present paper is aimed at incorporating all the references regarding Udavartha including Nidana Panchakas from Ayurvedic classics and to show the significance of Basti in normalizing the Apana Vata
Conceptual study of Anukta Vyadhi & importance of Ayurvedic Compendia in present era for the treatment of Anukta Vyadhi
Ayurveda is well-established science that deals with every aspect of Human life i.e., how to cure disease and maintain health. Anukta means unstated/unsaid/hidden. Anukta Vyadhi means the disease which is not explained in the Ayurvedic text. In the present era, due to drastic change in climate environment and standard of living, many newer diseases arise which is not mentioned in Samhita. To solve this problem, Acharya has stated that Anukta Vyadhi should be treated as per Hetu and vitiated Dosha and their Sthana. Concept of Anukta helps not only in understanding the classical concept but also set a base for understanding new diseases with a diagnostic approach
ANTIPROLIFERATIVE, ADME AND POTENTIAL IN SILICO G6PDH INHIBITORY ACTIVITY OF NOVEL 2-(1-BENZOFURAN-2-YL)-4-(5-PHENYL-4H-1, 2, 4-TRIAZOL-3-YL) QUINOLINE DERIVATIVES
Objectives: Synthesis of new 2-(1-benzofuran-2-yl)-4-(5-phenyl-4H-1, 2, 4-triazol-3-yl) quinoline and its derivatives for antiproliferative potential against cancer cells. Methods: The general methods were employed for the synthesis and the structures were confirmed by IR, 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR and mass spectral analysis. The antiproliferative activity was performed by 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide (MTT) assay and molecular docking study were performed by Auto Dock Tools. In silico Absorption-Distribution-Metabolism-Excretion-Toxicity (ADMET) study for the drug, likeliness was carried out on ACD/lab-2.Results: The compound 3l showed 44, 44, 38 and 37 % inhibition against MCF-7, HepG2, Colo205 and HeLa cell lines, respectively; whereas, the compounds 3i and 3j exhibited 49 and 42 % inhibition against MCF-7 cell line. The molecular docking study revealed that the compound 3i has the lowest binding energy (-8.60 Kcal mol-1), suggesting to be potentially best inhibitor of Glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PDH). The in silico ADME analysis also revealed that compound 3i does not violate any of the Lipinski rules of five and has the best stimulative human colonic absorption up to 95 %.Conclusion: The study reveals that the compounds containing benzofuran coupled nitrogen heterocycles are essential for activity as they possess excellent drug-like characteristics.Â
Incidence of neurological complications in patients with native-valve infective endocarditis and cerebral microembolism: an open cohort study
The objective of this open cohort study was to assess the association between neurological complications in patients with definite native-valve infective endocarditis (IE) and cerebral microembolism (MES). MES detection was performed with 1-h, bilateral middle cerebral arteries (MCA) insonation using a transcranial Doppler ultrasound (TCD) machine. Thirty patients with definite native-valve IE were stratified into 2 groups based upon the presence of MES. The most striking difference between the 2 groups of patients was the incidence of clinically evident neurological complications. Neurological complications of IE occurred in 10 (83.3%) patients with positive MES and in 6 (33.3%) MES-negative patients (p=0.021). Ischaemic stroke was the most common complication, occurring in 11 of 16 patients, followed by meningitis in 4 patients and cerebritis in 1 patient. There was a trend towards greater in-hospital mortality in patients with recorded MES than in the MES-negative, although this was not statistically significant (33.3% vs 16.6%; p=0.392). Our results reveal a significant association between MES and neurological complications in patients with native-valve IE. TCD is a promising tool in predicting individual patient risk for neurological complications of IE
