Search for direct production of charginos, neutralinos and sleptons in final states with two leptons and missing transverse momentum in pp collisions at √s = 8TeV with the ATLAS detector
Searches for the electroweak production of charginos, neutralinos and sleptons in final states characterized by the presence of two leptons (electrons and muons) and missing transverse momentum are performed using 20.3 fb−1 of proton-proton collision data at s√ = 8 TeV recorded with the ATLAS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider. No significant excess beyond Standard Model expectations is observed. Limits are set on the masses of the lightest chargino, next-to-lightest neutralino and sleptons for different lightest-neutralino mass hypotheses in simplified models. Results are also interpreted in various scenarios of the phenomenological Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model
A Fatal Complication Following Hybrid Total Arch Replacement with Supra-aortic Artery Translocation and Endovascular Stenting
This case highlights the successful management of acute Type B dissection complicated by visceral malperfusion. Even though the procedure of hybrid supra-aortic translocation and endovascular stenting corrected the malperfusion, it is important for vigilant CT scan surveillance for the post operative complications which can occur with this procedure
Distal Renal Tubular Acidosis and Sensorineural Deafness with Mutation in the ATP6V1B1 Gene
no gene ATP6V1B1.
Com estes dois casos pretende -se destacar a importância de um diagnóstico precoce nesta patologia rara
Electrochemical detection of biofilms
[Excerpt] Biofilms are the result of adhesion and growth of microorganisms, creating microenvironments - a polymeric matrix - where several microbial reactions take place [1]. Usually, biofilms are divided in two groups: the ones that are beneficial, as in wastewater treatment or production of specific products, and the detrimental biofilms such as the ones that appear in drinking water pipes and heat exchangers. In any case it is very important to detect the biofilm as soon as possible, to increase its growth or to avoid the risks associated with its presence. The ideal detector must allow the easy detection of biofilms in the early stages of formation and on line. Electrochemical techniques are well known for their role in analytical chemistry, allowing the determination and quantification of a large number of organic, inorganic and biological compounds. These techniques have largely proved to provide an efficient means for detection in situ and on line of a variety of compounds [2]. [...
Hubungan Dukungan Keluarga Dengan Keputusan Inisiasi Hemodialisis Pada Penderita Penyakit Ginjal Kronik Di Ruang Dahlia Rsup Prof. Dr. R. D. Kandou Manado
:Initiation hemodialysis is start of the process hemodialysis as renal replacement therapy in patients with chronic kidney disease. Family support is attitude , actions and acceptance of family to patients where family support can influence the decision of initiation hemodialysis.Purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship of the family support with the decision of initiation hemodialysis on patient chronic kidneys disease in Dahlia Room RSUP.Prof.Dr.R.D.Kandou Manado. Research method is used descriptive analytic with cross sectional design. Sampling technique in research is purposive sampling with 41 samples. Data collected by using a questionnaire.the data processed by using SPSS with chi - square test, with a significance level of 95% ( =0,05).Results showed that the number of respondents with good family support there were 63.4% respondents who did not delay the initiation of hemodialysis decision 61% of respondents, while respondents with less family support 36.6% of the respondents and delaying decisions initiation of hemodialysis 31,7% of respondents and p value = <0.001.Conclusion there is a meaningful relationship between family support with the initiation of hemodialysis decision. Recomendation for further is expected to be a reference for more research on family support with decision of initiation hemodialysis
Uncertainty on multi-objective optimization problems
In general, parameters in multi-objective optimization are assumed as deterministic with no uncertainty. However, uncertainty in the parameters can affect both variable and objective spaces. The corresponding Pareto optimal fronts, resulting from the disturbed problem, define a cloud of curves. In this work, the main objective is to study the resulting cloud of curves in order to identify regions of more robustness and, therefore, to assist the decision making process. Preliminary results, for a very limited set of problems, show that the resulting cloud of curves exhibits regions of less variation, which are, therefore, more robust to parameter uncertainty. The authors would like to thank FCT - Fundacao para a Ciencia e a Tecnologia (Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology) that supported in part this work
Pengontrolan Jarak Jauh Motor DC dengan AntarMuka sebuah Web sebagai Penggerak Pintu Gerbang
Electric motors are much in use as a driver, especially the motor current (DC). One pengotrolan motors direct current (DC) is controlling the direction of rotation. in this case the direction of rotation of the electric motor control (DC) can be applied as the driving gate in everyday life, so as to open and close the gate can be done remotely with a web interface. With the use of computer technology is remote controlling a DC motor with a web interface as the driving gate. controlling the direction of motor rotation direction will be shaking the gate is open or closed. To be able dimamfaat output signal from the computer port required a series of small signal driver that can be used to drive the object to be controlled remotely so that it can mengerakan perputran motors. When relay 1 works then brush motor will get a positive voltage source positive and negative brush motor is connected to the negative pole of the voltage source. Thus, the motor will work the gate open. In the same way to move the contact relay 2, then the opposite conditions occur that the motor will rotate the opposite direction of rotation, so that the gate is closed
Stochastic algorithms assessment using performance profiles
Optimization with stochastic algorithms has become a relevant
approach, specially, in problems with complex search
spaces. Due to the stochastic nature of these algorithms, the
assessment and comparison is not straightforward. Several
performance measures have been proposed to overcome this
difficulty. In this work, the use of performance profiles and
an analysis integrating a trade-off between accuracy and precision
are carried out for the comparison of two stochastic
algorithms. Traditionally, performance profiles are used to
compare deterministic algorithms. This methodology is applied
in the comparison of two stochastic algorithms - genetic
algorithms and simulated annealing. The results highlight
the advantages and drawbacks of the proposed assessment. The authors would like to thank FCT - Fundacao para a Ciencia e a Tecnologia (Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology) that supported in part this wor
