The Reading Preferences of Primary School Children in Lahore
The scope of this study aims at investigating reading preferences of children of Lahore city, which is the capital of Punjab province-Pakistan. It was assumed that proper attention towards providing reading opportunities to primary school students (First -Fifth grade) in Pakistan is vital while inculcating reading habits at that tender age. The study was conducted on 300 primary school students. A target group of 300 primary school students was selected for this study. Mainly survey method based on administered questionnaire was used to collect quantitative data from young students. The findings suggested that the children prefer to read locally published printed material in English. Respondents were found interested in reading short stories. (Fiction books, narrating adventure stories remained their favorite. On basis of the findings, the study furnishes suggestions for parents, teachers and school librarians, along with the local publishers for playing their effective role in developing reading habits and addresses the barriers in this regard

Dual Solutions for Nonlinear Flow Using Lie Group Analysis.
`The aim of this analysis is to investigate the existence of the dual solutions for magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) flow of an upper-convected Maxwell (UCM) fluid over a porous shrinking wall. We have employed the Lie group analysis for the simplification of the nonlinear differential system and computed the absolute invariants explicitly. An efficient numerical technique namely the shooting method has been employed for the constructions of solutions. Dual solutions are computed for velocity profile of an upper-convected Maxwell (UCM) fluid flow. Plots reflecting the impact of dual solutions for the variations of Deborah number, Hartman number, wall mass transfer are presented and analyzed. Streamlines are also plotted for the wall mass transfer effects when suction and blowing situations are considered
The Myth of Aloe vera phytochemicals and its advancement as medicinal and plant packed cosmetics
A succulent plant Aloe vera has been extensively utilized for various pharmaceutical and biomedical products. Its bioactive components that have different properties of anti-inflammation, anti-oxidation, anti-microbial and immunomodulation have made it more attractive for the scientific community to further explore its hidden facts about its utilization and also in addition to improve its properties through expression of some useful protein which can make it complete plant packed cosmetics. This study briefly summarizes fundamental active components, their biological activities, and significant applications of the constituents found in Aloe vera, and extensively surveyed its research progress in cytology and molecular biology with an emphasis on genetic engineering. Aloe constituents are studied in the context of therapeutics, cosmetics, and hydration, antibacterial and antiviral applications. The information that has been presented here is useful for better comprehending and investigating its possible therapeutic and culinary applications and provides routes for future studies.

Heat Generation/Absorption Effects in a Boundary Layer Stretched Flow of Maxwell Nanofluid: Analytic and Numeric Solutions
<div><p>Analysis has been done to investigate the heat generation/absorption effects in a steady flow of non-Newtonian nanofluid over a surface which is stretching linearly in its own plane. An upper convected Maxwell model (UCM) has been utilized as the non-Newtonian fluid model in view of the fact that it can predict relaxation time phenomenon which the Newtonian model cannot. Behavior of the relaxations phenomenon has been presented in terms of Deborah number. Transport phenomenon with convective cooling process has been analyzed. Brownian motion “<i>Db</i>” and thermophoresis effects “<i>Dt</i>” occur in the transport equations. The momentum, energy and nanoparticle concentration profiles are examined with respect to the involved rheological parameters namely the Deborah number, source/sink parameter, the Brownian motion parameters, thermophoresis parameter and Biot number. Both numerical and analytic solutions are presented and found in nice agreement. Comparison with the published data is also made to ensure the validity. Stream lines for Maxwell and Newtonian fluid models are presented in the analysis.</p></div
