    Análisis bibliométrico de información en salud basado en PubMed disponible en las redes sociales: un estudio de La India

    Social networks have long been used to disseminate health-related information and help, and this use has increased with the emergence of online social media. The goal of this study is to conduct a bibliometric analysis of health information in the context of India. The literature available in PubMed is the source of the study. The objective of this paper is to develop a better insight into the literature on social media-based health information using bibliometric analysis in the context of India. The software used for bibliometric analysis is profile research networking software from Harvard University and Vosviewer. From the study, it is clear that social media is important in the context of public health. We also found out that although the number of publications in journals is highest but video-audio content has been cited more. Although there is a significant increase in publication during 2020, but number of researchers are still very few. It is clear that social media is of greater importance for marginalized people; health care providers and regulators must take precautions to avoid possible negative outcomes.Las redes sociales se han utilizado durante mucho tiempo para difundir información y ayuda relacionadas con la salud, y este uso ha aumentado con la aparición de las redes sociales en línea. El objetivo de este estudio es realizar un análisis bibliométrico de la información sanitaria en el contexto de la India. La literatura disponible en PubMed es la fuente del estudio. El objetivo de este artículo es desarrollar una mejor comprensión de la literatura sobre la información de salud basada en las redes sociales utilizando el análisis bibliométrico en el contexto de la India. El software utilizado para el análisis bibliométrico es un software de redes de investigación de perfiles de la Universidad de Harvard y Vosviewer. Del estudio, queda claro que las redes sociales son importantes en el contexto de la salud pública. También descubrimos que aunque el número de publicaciones en revistas es mayor, se ha citado más contenido de video-audio. Aunque hay un aumento significativo de la publicación durante 2020, el número de investigadores sigue siendo muy reducido. Está claro que las redes sociales son de mayor importancia para las personas marginadas. Los proveedores de atención médica y los reguladores deben tomar precauciones para evitar posibles resultados negativos

    Hybrid biocomposites

    Biocomposites are being explored by research communityfor the past few decades due to rising environmental concerns. Moisture uptake, poor interface and moderate to lower mechanical properties have proved to be a bottleneck for biocomposites to partially or fully replace synthetic composites. The concept of hybridising, i.e. incorporating two or more reinforcements instead of single reinforcement in a matrix, has the potential to overcome this bottleneck by exploiting the desired contribution of both the reinforcing phases. Although hybrid composites have already extensively explored for high-performance fibres, the studies on hybrid composites using biodegradable constituents still lag behind. This review addresses studies conducted on hybrid composites using at least one biodegradable component and the findings in terms of properties and factors affecting them are discussed. The analysis on synergistic effect reported by researchers along with the scope of ongoing research and prospects for hybrid biocomposites have also been discussed in detail

      From the time of early travel narratives on South Asia by western tradesmen, orientalist scholars like William Jones, Max Muller, narratives written by Christian missionaries like Mead or Caldwell or the denigrators of ‘oriental societies’ like G.W. F. Hegel and concerned critics like Karl Marx to much of our postcolonial socio-political struggles, ‘caste’ has been perceived as either an elusive, resilient hydra-headed monster or a unique feature of the Hindu society that pre-empts competition that western modernity brings about. However, caste could be read both diachronically as well as synchronically, as a historical formation as well as a structural imperative. This makes any easy understanding of the question of caste impossible. Textual evidences are not enough, neither are the various archaeological resources, as we know that each historical moment is also constituted by the logic of synchronicity and structure which produces its own form of aphasia and silence. This introduction to the Special Issue of Sanglap on ‘Caste in Humanities’ would show how question of caste is also about silence and therefore requires incessant and seamless re-textualization

    Percutaneous Trans Mitral commissurotomy (PTMC) in the background of giant left atrium using Reverse Loop Entry technique

    Percutaneous trans-mitral commissurotomy (PTMC) using Accura balloon is an effective procedure for management of patients with rheumatic mitral stenosis. It is not uncommon to come across giant left atrium (LA) especially in the developing world as patient often present late in the course of the disease. This is a technically challenging situation as usual landmark changes which make the procedure difficult beginning from septal puncture to negotiation of balloon into left ventricle across the mitral valve. Here we report a case of 16-year old girl suffering from rheumatic mitral stenosis in which left atrium was giant (13cm x 11cm) where the mitral valve could not be negotiated with standard technique. Valvotomy was successfully executed by reverse loop entry technique

    Percutaneous trans-mitral commissurotomy (PTMC) using Accura balloon is an effective procedure for management of patients with rheumatic mitral stenosis. Following trans- septal puncture, negotiating the balloon catheter from left atrium (LA) to left ventricle sometimes becomes difficult especially in the background of large left atrium. Over-the-wire technique is one of the methods to bail out in such a situation. Here, we report a case of 10-year old boy suffering from critical rheumatic mitral stenosis in which LA was large (9cm x 8cm) where the mitral valve could not be negotiated with standard technique. Making a reverse loop of partially inflated Accura balloon, 0.014˝ coronary angioplasty wire was introduced into left ventricle (LV) which was further pushed and parked into ascending aorta, thereby establishing a veno-arterial (VA) loop. The balloon was deflated and gradually tracked over the wire across the mitral valve to enter into LV cavity. Once into the cavity, the loop was straightened and mitral valvuloplasty was successfully performed in standard fashion. Thus, this technique is helpful in bailing out in situations of “difficult LV entry” in critically stenosed valve

    Percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) of vein graft lesions is associated with a high risk of peri-procedural myocardial infarction and greater mortality than routine native coronary intervention. Embolic protection devices have been advocated to reduce the risk of distal embolisation during vein graft PCI. Here, we report the case of a 72 year-old diabetic male smoker who had coronary artery bypass surgery three years previously who presented with acute coronary syndrome. Repeat coronary angiography revealed patent grafts except for a discrete eccentric critical lesion in ostium of saphenous vein graft to obtuse marginal. The lesion was crossed using a 0.014” runthrough wire (Terumo, Japan). Intragraft diltiazem (5 mg) was administered through the guiding catheter each time before predilatation and stenting (total dose = 30 mg). It was finally stented by deploying a 3.5 × 23 mm Xience Prime everolimus-eluting stent (Abbott, USA) at 13 atm pressure achieving TIMI III flow. He was discharged the next day with acetylsalicylic acid — 75 mg/day, ticagrelor — 90 mg twice daily, atorvastatin — 40 mg/day, metoprolol — 100 mg/day, and ramipril — 5 mg/day. The patient has been doing extremely well since then, with regular follow-ups at our institute.Przezskórna interwencja wieńcowa (PCI) w obrębie wszczepionego pomostu żylnego wiąże się z wysokim ryzykiem okołozabiegowego zawału serca i większą śmiertelnością niż rutynowe zabiegi tego typu w naczyniach natywnych. Zaleca się stosowanie urządzeń zabezpieczających przed zatorami w celu obniżenia ryzyka odległych zatorów w trakcie PCI w pomoście żylnym. Autorzy przedstawili przypadek 72-letniego pacjenta, aktywnego palacza, z ostrym zespołem wieńcowym, u którego 3 lata wcześniej wykonano chirurgiczne pomostowanie aortalno-wieńcowe. Powtórna koronarografia wykazała drożność stentu poza nieciągłą ekscentryczną krytyczną zmianą w miejscu połączenia pomostu z żyły odpiszczelowej z gałęzią brzeżną. Przez zwężenie przeprowadzono prowadnik angioplastyczny 0,014” typu runthrough (Terumo, Japonia). Przed każdą predylacją balonową i implantacją stentu do pomostu podawano diltiazem (5 mg) przez cewnik prowadzący (łączna dawka = 30 mg). Ostatecznie w miejscu zwężenia umieszczono i rozprężono stent uwalniający ewerolimus Xience Prime 3,5 × 23 mm (Abbott, USA), stosując ciśnienie 13 atm. Uzyskano przepływ TIMI III. Pacjenta wypisano następnego dnia z zaleceniem przyjmowania następujących leków: kwasu acetylosalicylowego — 75 mg/dobę, tikagreloru — 90 mg 2 razy/dobę, atorwastatyny — 40 mg/dobę, metoprololu — 100 mg/dobę i ramiprilu — 5 mg/dobę. Od czasu zabiegu chory czuł się bardzo dobrze i regularnie zgłaszał się na wizyty kontrolne do placówki autorów

    Recipe optimisation for sugarcane bagasse fibre reinforced soy protein biocomposite

    A series of biodegradable composites has been prepared using sugarcane bagasse fibres as reinforcement and soy protein isolate (SPI) as matrix. Sugarcane bagasse has been pretreated with 2% NaOH solution for improving its reinforcement. Recipe for matrix includes soy protein isolate as prime ingredient, glyoxal as crosslinking agent and glycerol as plasticizer. The composites are characterised for tensile properties. Three-factor and three-level Box-Behnken design is used to optimize the mass fraction of fibres, percentage of crosslinking and plasticizing agent. The model predicts that the best possible results would be achieved with the recipe having 20% fibres with matrix recipe of 11% glyoxal, 17.7% glycerol and 51.3% SPI by weight. The predicted and observed tensile strength of composite is found to be comparable. The glycerol content is found to play an important role in improvement of tensile property of composite

    The population of India is 1.25 billion with 500 million of mobile subscriber. This huge change in mobile services resulted in crime hike, teenage kidnap, suicidal cases, and mobile thefts. It is only due to ease of carrying and flexibility in movement from one place to another. In a mobile network, mobile users travel at different velocity and different places. For mobile/network operator, it is useful to track each mobile user for its reference. It sometimes helps in investigational purpose, some lost and found reference. It is also useful to track exact location of the users using different technologies. This paper will focus on different location management technique, Layered Square Location Management (LSLM) functionality, and location update procedures. A model of LSLM scheme is also designed to understand the whole procedure of tracking a mobile user. The model is designed using TSOP sensor as server region and an object as mobile device. The LSLM scheme makes the mobile network more cost effective and enhances the efficiency of location management
