Business Models and Innovation Obstacles in Iran: A New Framework
Employing appropriate and up to date Business models in Organizations is so important due to the fact that it is the strategy which shows the main logic of a corporation in creating values in organiza-tions. It is important to the extent that not employing an appropriate and up to date business model will prevent the organizations fulfilling their aims, even if they employ high technology or diverse resources. In fact, economical value of a technology is unknown until corporations employ an appro-priate form of business model. It can be said that, those corporations employing more appropriate business models for a technology achieve more value than the corporations discovering that technolo-gy. A good business model is the basis of each successful organization, no difference the investment is new or it's an already established one. Due to the importance of this issue, in this study, we try to identify the main reasons for not being up to date or not developing business models in organizations. We do this by reflecting upon the results of credible and up to date researches in the area of different business models and obstacles or challenges facing different organizations. In line with what was said above, we employed library research, extracting updating obstacles in business models, ques-tionnaire and field research for data collection process. Determining reliability and validity of the questionnaire, we distributed it among 198 corporations of management counseling in Tehran prov-ince. This research follows positivism paradigm and is practical, quantitative, and inductive. The results lead to the discovery of 35 cases of the main reasons of not being up to date and developed in using business models. As there was no basis for categorizing variables and formerly defined catego-ries, in order to maximize the correlation between variables and factors, calculating the factorial ratio and determining the intended factors, we employed factorial design. Using this statistical technique, the variables were categorized in 4 kinds of obstacles: strategic, information, management, and sys-tem. At the end these are ranked using fuzzy Topsis technique. The results of ranking show the im-portance order of obstacles as follows: Informational factors, Systematic factors, managerial factors & strategic factors.

Agility Path Through Work Values in Knowledge-Based Organizations: A Study of Virtual Universities
All people enter organizations with a formed personality and some initial experiences
and values depending on the culture, which will, in turn, influence their efficiency and performance.
Therefore, great attention must be paid to work values of the employees and the issues which affect
them, especially in organizations that are complex in their structure and culture. Today’s dynamic
environment requires organizations to be agile in their processes, with the issue being even more
critical in knowledge-based organizations such as virtual universities. In this research, we identify
the path through which organizations can achieve agility by means of work values. Although there
are many dimensions in work values and organizational agility, using the methodology applied in
this research, we omit some of these dimensions and find the best methods that will enable managers
to wisely invest in the most important issues and get the best results in the path to achieve
agility through work values

New Venture Creation: Controversial Perspectives and Theories
New venture creation is a hot topic and different scholars tried to shed light on this fascinating research subject. Despite the vast body of existing literature, there is little consensus about which theoretical perspectives and theories are best suited for describing and explaining the phenomenon. One of the most controversial topics is that “whether this phenomenon could be considered as a process or not?” This paper presents the existing views and theories on new venture
creation, and tries to answer the mentioned question. To do so, Moroz and Hindle’s (2012) distinguished views are used. Finally, the paper concludes with some suggestions and remarks. The main contribution of this paper is to criticize the existing perspectives and theories, to categorize them, and to present a more comprehensible view of the phenomenon

Shortening the learning curve of media start: Ups in accelerators : case of a developing country
Business accelerators are playing a key role in facilitating the process of new venture creation. Start-ups generally look for the best accelerators to make their long journey short. Media start-ups also look for a supportive mechanism to fasten their start-up experience. In this process, one of the main issues is to shorten their
learning curve which is possible by use of start-up accelerators. Therefore, this chapter deals with the idea that which factors are important in this regard. To do so, first, a brief review of the support mechanisms is presented, and it is discussed
that how start-up accelerators shorten the learning curve of the start-ups. Then, five media start-ups which were created in accelerators are studied. All of the cases were established after 2014, since the accelerators started working from the same
year. According to the findings, there are mainly six reasons for shortening of the learning curve by start-up accelerators, including: (1) Short creation period, (2) Seminars and courses, (3) Co-working space, (4) Divided teams, (5) Cohort peers, and (6) Mentorship
The impact of Digital Leadership Competencies on Virtual Team Effectiveness in MNC companies in Penang, Malaysia
This research objective is to examine the impact of Digital Leadership competencies on Virtual Team Effectiveness in MNC companies in Penang, Malaysia. The survey was conducted among 150 respondents who are working in MNC companies in Penang, with experience in a virtual team. The diversified range of respondents was chosen to predict the impact of digital leadership competencies on virtual team effectiveness. Data collected was analysed using SmartPLS. Hypotheses were tested based on the structural equation model. The results come out with 2 variables (E-Communication Competency & E-Trust Competency) having a positive & significant relationship with virtual team effectiveness. The remaining four variables, namely E-Social Competency, E-Team Competency & E-Change Competency, found to be no significant relationship towards virtual team effectiveness. Firstly, MNC companies size varies; as such, the study may be slightly biased. As more virtual teams are available to sample this analysis from large MNC companies, the outcome will appear to lean towards them. Secondly, due to the data collection limitation, virtual teams are represented by only one respondent per team in this study. As such, it may represent some bias if the response being used to represent the team. Results of this research can be used as guidance for organization Leaders in managing virtual teams more effectively. The E-Communication competency & E-Trust Competency can be applied and eventually enhance virtual team efficiency. This analysis will benefit future researchers or leaders of organizations to call attention to variables that contribute to virtual teams' effectiveness. This study is to investigate factors that have a positive influence on virtual team effectiveness. Digital Leadership Competency is chosen as independent variables that potentially have a great impact on virtual team effectiveness. As part of measuring Virtual Team effectiveness, Media Richness Theory is taken into consideration to underpin this study.

An Investigation into the Impact of E-Customs on Stretching Strategic Thinking
Challenges facing the customs organization continuously change its management system in different countries and customs managers face a large number of challenges. Globalization tendencies, in-creased technological developments, customer-orientation, decreased product life cycle, change in product nature, regionalism and competition diversity demand a new form of leadership. The manag-ers, therefore, need to be prepared for administrating changes in dynamic environments. On the other hand, the organizations should also take the necessary actions in order to change and improve the current procedures; otherwise, they will jeopardize their existence and perpetuity because today the existence of organizations is threatened more than ever before. Considering the difficulties and bot-tlenecks of strategic planning, strategic thinking is used today as an important instrument assisting managers to solve problems and promote competitiveness and dynamics. The aim of this study is to investigate the impact of establishing e-customs on stretching strategic thinking. It is a survey study in terms of method where the statistical population is composed of all technical experts of IRICA in 2015, i.e. a total number of 650 cases 234 of which were selected through simple-random sampling using Krejcie and Morgan method. Data was collected using a researcher-made questionnaire. Its validity was confirmed through formal validation and its reliability was calculated using Cronbach’s alpha (0.726). All data was analyzed in SPSS 19. According to data analysis results, e-customs affects strategic thinking dimensions with a different influence on every dimension. The results showed that the impact of establishing e-customs on systems thinking, creativity, conceptual thinking, intelligent opportunism, and foresight was 15%, 17%, 17%, 13%, and 22%, respectively. Hence, it is proposed that managers pay special attention to foresight and then to creativity and conceptual thinking in or-ganizations.
