Pengaruh Politik Dalam Pembentukan Hukum Di Indonesia
This article examines how the politics influence legal development in Indonesia. Politics and law are two things that influence each other. In the process of establishing the rule of law by political institutions, the role of political forces who sit in the political institutions are very decisive. When the position of law is more determinant than politics, then political activities are regulated by and must comply to legal rules. On the other hand, when politics is more determinant than law, then law is a product of political wills that interacts each other and even competes each other. However, an ideal system is a system when both law and politics are in balance in terms of determination. In such condition, an order may be achieved
EVALUATION OF BIOACTIVE COMPONENTS AND ANTIOXIDANT ACTIVITY OF VERNONIA ELAEAGNIFOLIA DC. (ASTERACEAE) IN GLYCOPHYTIC AND HALOPHYTIC CONDITIONS
Objective: The investigate some of the antioxidant activities and bioactive potentials of Vernonia elaeagnifolia grown hydroponically in glycophytic and halophytic conditions.
Methods: Plants were grown in Hoagland solution and subjected to (Sodium chloride (NaCl) treatments. Plants cultivated without salt stress served as the control. The phytochemical analysis was done with the help of Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS) and antioxidants were analyzed following standard procedures using UV-Visible Spectrophotometer.
Results: Significant changes were observed in the presence of antioxidants like superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT), guaiacol peroxidase (GPX), ascorbate peroxidase (APX), total polyphenols, proline and ascorbic acid. GPX and proline proved to be the major components in imparting salinity stress tolerance. The control showed the presence of 23 bioactive components while the treatment contained 19 components.
Conclusion: The study thus provides information regarding the place of collection of the particular plant. Glycophytic conditions prove to be the best choice in terms of bioactive components and fatty acid contents. The investigations reveal that the plant contains several bioactive components and antioxidants, which prove it as a promising plant for developing potential drugs
Bladder calculi presenting as urinary incontinence mimicking obstetric urinary fistula: a case report
The presence of calculi in the urinary tract is usually a silent morbidity, which may present as an incidental finding on evaluation of the genitourinary or renal tract for other pathologies. Failure to identify this early is associated with more grievous effects on the function of the renal system, especially the kidneys. Bladder calculi may be asymptomatic, but when symptomatic, may present with abdominal pains, urinary symptoms including haematuria or recurrent urinary tract infection. Urinary incontinence is an unusual symptom of bladder calculi. This case study describes a 25-year-old woman with bladder calculi presenting with leakage of urine following an antecedent history of a Caesarean section for prolonged obstructed labour, thus mimicking urinary obstetric fistula. She had appropriate evaluation and successful surgical removal of the bladder stone.

Comparative Dissolution of Natural Goethite Samples in HCl and HNO3
The dissolution of goethite samples in mineral acids from to extreme
parts of Nigeria (Osogbo and Kaduna) have been investigated. The rate
of dissolution was found to be slightly faster in HCl than HNO3. The
higher rate of dissolution in HCl could be attributed to the complexing
ability of Cl- in addition to the H+ effect while lowering effect by
NO3- was attributed to adsorption of NO3 on to the goethite surface.
Mononuclear complexes, especially bidentate of oxyanion are found to
accelerate dissolution as opposed to binuclear complexes. A binuclear
bidentate surface complex formation between NO3- and Fe3+ was therefore
proposed to account for the inhibition observed. The possible formation
of Fe\u2014Cl reduces both the surface positive charge and the
repulsion between the oxide surface and protons in solution. This
produced accelerated proton dissolution. The effect of temperature on
the initial dissolution rate fit into Arrhenius equation, with Kaduna
goethite exhibiting higher rate than Osogbo type in both acids. The
activation energies for Kaduna goethite sample are 66.11 and 82.43
kJmol-1 in 0.1M HCl and 0.1M HNO3 respectively while for Osogbo
goethite sample are 54.60 and 76.32 kJmol-1 in 0.1M HCl and 0.1M HNO3
respectively. The frequency factors of 8.4 x 10-4 & 11.17 x10-4 and
5.0 x 10-5 and 3.09 x 10-3 for Kaduna and Osogbo goethite samples were
obtained. @JASE
Aspects of unconventional density waves
Recently many people discuss unconventional density waves (i.e.
unconventional charge density waves (UCDW) and unconventional spin density
waves (USDW)). Unlike in conventional density waves, the quasiparticle spectrum
in these systems is gapless. Also these systems remain metallic. Indeed it
appears that there are many candidates for UDW. The low temperature phase of
alpha-(BEDT-TTF)_2KHg(SCN)_4, the antiferromagnetic phase in URu_2Si_2, the CDW
in transition metal dichalcogenite NbSe_2, the pseudogap phase in high T_c
cuprate superconductors, the glassy phase in organic superconductor
kappa-(BEDT-TTF)_2Cu[N(CN)_2]Br. After a brief introduction on UCDW and USDW,
we shall discuss some of the above systems, where we believe we have evidence
for unconventional density waves.Comment: 11 pages, 5 figure
