Load Balancing and Virtual Machine Allocation in Cloud-based Data Centers

As cloud services see an exponential increase in consumers, the demand for faster processing of data and a reliable delivery of services becomes a pressing concern. This puts a lot of pressure on the cloud-based data centers, where the consumers’ data is stored, processed and serviced. The rising demand for high quality services and the constrained environment, make load balancing within the cloud data centers a vital concern. This project aims to achieve load balancing within the data centers by means of implementing a Virtual Machine allocation policy, based on consensus algorithm technique. The cloud-based data center system, consisting of Virtual Machines has been simulated on CloudSim – a Java based cloud simulator

The Impact of Economic Globalization on The Indonesian Economy

Economic globalization is a process of integrating the national economy into the global economic system carried out by TNC, WTO, IMF and World Bank actors. Economic globalization is the increasing economic integration and interdependence of national, regional and local economies throughout the world through the intensification of cross-border movement of goods, services, technology and capital. Globalization causes trade between countries to become freer. This is one of the greatest benefits for nation building. Domestic industries experience reduced trade barriers and have access to wider international markets. Economically, Indonesia depends on international trade, production and finance. Therefore, the Indonesian state is vulnerable to international pressure and globalization. Economic globalization has an impact on national economic laws which must appear as an integration mechanism that can harmonize various internal interests of the nation, national and international interests as well as between sectors of national life. Economically, there is pressure on increasingly competitive trade, multinationalization of production, integration of financial markets and the influx of global capital investment. In facing the impact of economic globalization, the strategy used is to play an active role in the negotiation process with globalization actors and create national economic laws, especially regarding foreign investment, which accommodate global value interests to be utilized for national economic development

ANALISIS PENGARUH STRES KERJA, URAIAN PEKERJAAN, DAN KEPUASAN KERJA TERHADAP KINERJA PEGAWAI APARATUR SIPIL NEGARA DINAS PERHUBUNGAN PROVINSI MALUKU

The role of an organization or institution must have a reliable quality ofhuman resources in playing its role to move the organization or institution in thecontext of development, of course the main impact of that role is the resultingperformance. In the form of performance as one of the goals in exploring thevarious skills or abilities possessed to be able to run a wheel organization eitherindividual or institution. The purpose of this study is to know and analyze theeffect of job stress, job description, job satisfaction on employee performance.The research method used is survey and explanatory research method to analyzethe relationship between variables studied. Analytical test tool used in thisresearch is using multiple regression analysis.The hypothesis was tested by using F test, and t test, the result showed that(1) job stress significantly or significantly affect the performance of State CivilApparatus; (2) job description significantly or significantly affect the performanceof the State Civil Apparatus; (4) job stress, job description, and satisfactiontogether (simultaneously) have real or significant effect on the performance ofcivil servant apparatus employees. There are several implications that can besuggested in this study

IDENTIFIKASI LAJU EROSI DAN LAJU SEDIMENTASI PADA WADUK WONOSARI KABUPATEN BENGKALIS

Generally, people who live in island areas depend on the management of water resources, such as the distribution of raw water from reservoirs. Bengkalis Regency is an island area and has a Wonosari reservoir which functions as a source of raw water for the people. Often, there is drought or lack of water supply to the people during the summer. One of the factors indicating the cause is the reduced volume of water storage in the reservoir due to sedimentation which can be calculated using the equations of erosion rate and sedimentation rate. The method used is the explorative-survey which obtains supporting data from direct field surveys and spatial, environmental and territorial approaches. The results for this study proved that sedimentation in the reservoir did not significantly affect the occurrence of water shortages which caused water needs to be not fulfilled in the community. The rates of erosion and sedimentation rates are 5.415 ton/ha/yr and 0.164 ton/ha/yr (very light erosion hazard category)

La memoria en el proceso de desarrollo y significación de espacios con carácter patrimonial o de ámbito conmemorativo

This research article presents the premises around the theme of Memory, which is composed of a vision about its materialization, the link with collective construction, and identity in public space and buildings, these last two as elements of Architecture and urban planning which have a tangible form of support for the development and significance of spaces, as a way of narrating the land conflict in the Colombian context. In this sense, a mixed research method is taken through qualitative and quantitative elements, as key points of study to determine the concept of memory by users and population, as well as the elements for the evaluation of it in the quality of life and its relationship with the digital network, using three characteristics to synthesize the actions and conclusions of the findings obtained.Este artículo de investigación presenta las premisas en torno al tema de memoria, la cual se compone de una visión acerca de su materialización, del vínculo con la construcción colectiva y de la identidad en el espacio público y los edificios, estos dos últimos como componentes de la arquitectura y el urbanismo que constituyen de forma tangible el soporte para el desarrollo y significación de los espacios, como una forma de narración del conflicto de tierra en el contexto colombiano. En este sentido, se hace uso de un método de investigación mixto a través de elementos cualitativos y cuantitativos, como puntos claves de estudio para determinar el concepto de la memoria por parte de los usuarios y la población, así como de elementos para la evaluación de la misma en la calidad de vida y su relación con la red digital, empleando tres características para sintetizar las acciones y conclusiones de los hallazgos obtenidos

Developing english speaking materials for the tenth grade students of culinary arts study program at vocational high school

Vocational High School which had Culinary Arts study program required its students to practice in the real work or usually called field study. Instead, the materials in the school only focuses on listening, reading, and writing skill, so teacher should explain more about English speaking. By the case, developing appropriate English speaking materials in the form of module for the Tenth Grade of Culinary Arts using Research and Development methodology was considered very important. This research questions about English speaking material needed for the tenth graders of Culinary Art Study Program, the development of the materials in a module, and the effectiveness of the module. The research aimed to explain the students’ learning need, the development of the English Speaking Module, and the effectiveness of the English Speaking Module. The subjects of the research were 36 tenth students of Culinary Arts Study Program. Interview, questionnaire, pre-test and post-test were chosen as techniques of data collection. The data were analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. The findings are; 1) the tenth students of Culinary Arts need an additional speaking materials to enhance students’ speaking ability in field study, 2) the development of English Speaking Module adapted the design model from Borg and Gall, 3) there was a significant improvement of the students’ average score after being taught using English Speaking module, from 63.89 in pre-test and 73.83 in post-test. The product was appropriate to be implemented for the Tenth Grade of Culinary Art Study Program

Analisis Permintaan Jagung Di Kabupaten Rembang

ABSTRAKTujuan penelitian ini adalah (1) Untuk menganalisis factor-faktor yang mempengaruhi permintaan jagung di Kabupaten Rembang. 2) Untuk mengetahui elastisitas permintaan jagung di Kabupaten Rembang. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Kabupaten Rembang pada bulan Juni – Agustus 2020. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini metode kuantitatif. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data sekunder, yaitu data yang diperoleh dari instansi atau lembaga yang berhubungan dengan penelitian ini. Dalam penelitian ini, data diperoleh dari Badan Pusat Statistik serta Dinas Pertanian Kabupaten Rembang. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah Analisis Regresi Double Log Penelitian tersebut memperoleh hasil bahwa : 1) Hasil analisis regresi linier Model Double Log, variabel bebas yang berpengaruh terhadap permintaan jagung adalah harga jagung (coef 15.923), harga beras (coef 71.274) , dan jumlah penduduk (coef 34.801) , pada tingkat kepercayaan 95%. Sedangkan variabel bebas yang tidak berpengaruh terhadap permintaan jagung adalah variabel harga ketela pohon, variavel harga kedelai dan variable pendapatan.2) Berdasarkan elastisitas pendapatan, jagung merupakan barang normal yaitu jika pendapatan naik maka permintaan jagung akan meningkat dan karena jagung bersifat elastis, apabila terjadi peningkatan pendapatan sebesar 1% maka permintaan jagung akan meningkat kurang dari 1%.. Kata kunci : Permintaan , elastisitas, Jagung, Kabupaten Remban

Las Relaciones Interdimensionales desde la Educación Física en la Infancia Preescolar. Un Acercamiento Histórico

The present article is the result of a research work carried out for obtaining the Scientific Degree of Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences. It is focused on a historical study about the real state and evolution of the interdimentional relations from Physical Education in Cuba, for improving thin movement in preschool children. To carry out this study the authors depart from those four stages, departing from the beginnithose relevant facts which determined the real state of this process and provided new facts which provoke changes or breakings in relation to the developmental line manifest by such process and gave rise to e new stage based on different facts. El presente artículo es resultado de una investigación que se desarrolla en opción al grado científico de Doctor en Ciencias Pedagógicas. El mismo aborda un estudio histórico sobre el comportamiento y evolución de las relaciones interdimensionales, desde la Educación Física en Cuba, para el perfeccionamiento de la motricidad fina en los niños de la Infancia Preescolar. Para el estudio se asumen cuatro etapas que se definen a partir del inicio de esta dimensión en la Primera Infancia.
