Quality of life, psychological and autonomic nervous system assessment in overweight patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus
Prevalence of chronic disease is traditionally measured with morbidity and mortality assessment,
but in the recent years health-related quality of life is being given more and more attention. Diabetes
is a major cause of permanent disability and significant decrease in quality of life
Use of grape polyphenols in complex therapy of overweight patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus
The article focuses on efficacy of a natural farmaceutic “Vin-Vita” in the management of overweight patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Introduction of the product into the course of treatment including eating behavior modification, differential dosed controlled physical activity as well as hypoglycemic agents, improves blood lipid parameters, which is especially important in overweight patients with type 2 diabetes who are at major risk of developing cardiovascular disease
Search for a dark vector gauge boson decaying to using decays
We report a search for a dark vector gauge boson that couples to
quarks in the decay chain , . No signal is found and we set a
mass-dependent limit on the baryonic fine structure constant of in the mass range of 290 to 520 MeV/. This analysis is
based on a data sample of 976 fb collected by the Belle experiment at
the KEKB asymmetric-energy collider.Comment: 6 pages, 4 figure
Measurement of eta_c(1S), eta_c(2S) and non-resonant eta' pi+ pi- production via two-photon collisions
We report the measurement of gamma gamma to eta_c(1S), eta_c(2S) to eta' pi+
pi- with eta' decays to gamma rho and eta pi+ pi- using 941 fb^{-1} of data
collected with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e+e- collider.
The eta_c(1S) mass and width are measured to be M = [2984.6\pm0.7 (stat.)\pm2.2
(syst.)] MeV/c^{2} and \Gamma = [30.8^{+2.3}_{-2.2}~(stat.) \pm 2.5~(syst.)]
MeV, respectively. First observation of eta_c(2S) to eta' pi+ pi- with a
significance of 5.5sigma including systematic error is obtained, and the
eta_c(2S) mass is measured to be M = [3635.1\pm3.7~(stat.)\pm2.9~(syst.)]
MeV/c^{2}. The products of the two-photon decay width and branching fraction
(B) of decays to eta'pi+ pi- are determined to be \Gamma_{gamma gamma}B =
[65.4\pm2.6~(stat.)\pm6.9~(syst.)] eV for eta_c(1S) and
[5.6^{+1.2}_{-1.1}~(stat.)\pm1.1~(syst.)] eV for eta_c(2S). A new decay mode
for the eta_c(1S) to eta'f_0(2080) with f_0(2080) to pi+ pi- is observed with a
statistical significance of 20sigma. The f_0(2080) mass and width are
determined to be M = [2083^{+63}_{-66}~(stat.)\pm 32~(syst.)] MeV/c^{2} and
\Gamma = [178^{+60}_{-178}~(stat.) \pm 55~(syst.)] MeV. The cross sections for
gamma gamma to eta' pi+ pi- and eta'f_{2}(1270) are measured for the first
time.Comment: 19 pages, 14 figure
Invariant-mass and fractional-energy dependence of inclusive production of di-hadrons in annihilation at 10.58 GeV
The inclusive cross sections for di-hadrons of charged pions and kaons
() in electron-positron annihilation are reported. They
are obtained as a function of the total fractional energy and invariant mass
for any di-hadron combination in the same hemisphere as defined by the thrust
event-shape variable and its axis. Since same-hemisphere di-hadrons can be
assumed to originate predominantly from the same initial parton, di-hadron
fragmentation functions are probed. These di-hadron fragmentation functions are
needed as an unpolarized baseline in order to quantitatively understand related
spin-dependent measurements in other processes and to apply them to the
extraction of quark transversity distribution functions in the nucleon. The
di-hadron cross sections are obtained from a data sample
collected at or near the resonance with the Belle detector at
the KEKB asymmetric-energy collider.Comment: 21 pages, 18 figures plus 25 figures in supplemental material,

Measurement of Branching Fractions of Hadronic Decays of the Baryon
Using a data sample of 980 of annihilation data
taken with the Belle detector operating at the KEKB asymmetric-energy
collider, we report the results of a study of the decays of the
charmed baryon into hadronic final states. We report the most precise
measurements to date of the relative branching fractions of the
into , , , and
, as well as the first measurements of the branching fractions
of the into , , and , all with respect to the decay. In
addition, we investigate the resonant substructure of these modes. Finally, we
present a limit on the branching fraction for the decay
Inclusive study of bottomonium production in association with an meson in annihilations near
We study bottomonium production in association with an meson in
annihilations near the , at a center of mass energy of
GeV. The results are based on the fb data
sample collected by the Belle experiment at the asymmetric energy KEKB
collider. Only the meson is reconstructed and the missing-mass spectrum
of candidates is investigated. We observe the
process and find evidence for the
process, while no significant signals of
, , nor are found. Cross sections for the
studied processes are reported.Comment: Submitted to EPJ-
Search for and branching fraction measurement of
We have searched for the Cabibbo-suppressed decay
in collisions using a data sample corresponding to an integrated
luminosity of 915 . The data were collected by the Belle
experiment at the KEKB asymmetric-energy collider running at or near
the and resonances. No significant signal is
observed, and we set an upper limit on the branching fraction of
at 90% confidence
level. The contribution for nonresonant decays
is found to be consistent with zero and the corresponding upper limit on its
branching fraction is set to be at 90% confidence level. We also measure the branching
fraction for the Cabibbo-favored decay ; the
result is , which is
the most precise measurement to date. Finally, we have searched for an
intermediate hidden-strangeness pentaquark decay . We see no
evidence for this intermediate decay and set an upper limit on the product
branching fraction of at 90% confidence level.Comment: 8 pages, 5 figures, 1 table, minor text change in version
Search for decays to invisible final states at Belle
We report the result from the first search for decays to invisible
final states. The analysis is performed on a data sample of 924
collected at and near the and resonances with the
Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy collider. The
absolute branching fraction is determined using an inclusive sample,
obtained by fully reconstructing the rest of the particle system including the
other charmed particle. No significant signal yield is observed and an upper
limit of is set on the branching fraction of to
invisible final states at 90\% confidence level.Comment: 17 pages, 4 figures, submitted to PRD(RC
Evidence for Isospin Violation and Measurement of Asymmetries in
We report the first evidence for isospin violation in and
the first measurement of difference of asymmetries between and . This analysis is based on the data sample
containing pairs that was collected with the Belle
detector at the KEKB energy-asymmetric collider. We find evidence for
the isospin violation with a significance of 3.1, \%, where
the third uncertainty is due to the uncertainty on the fraction of to
production in decays. The measured value is
consistent with predictions of the SM. The result for the difference of
asymmetries is \%, consistent with zero. The measured branching fractions and
asymmetries for charged and neutral meson decays are the most precise to
date. We also calculate the ratio of branching fractions of to .Comment: 11 pages, 7 figures. shown at FPCP2017. accepted by PR
