    Environmental Learning Approaches In Improving Learning Outcomes In Acid-base Subject

    Learning in the understanding of acid-base chemistry in schools needs to be improved so research to determine differences in learning outcomes between students taught using environmental approaches and methods lectures in class XI SMA on acid-base subject needs to be done. In this study, using a quasi-experimental method using a data collection tool achievement test essay form. The test statistic results of the post-test learning has been obtained Asymp value. Sig (2-tailed) 0,026 that showed the differences between students' learning outcomes with a control experimental class with effect size of 0.63 or much influence difference with the percentage 23.57% which indicated that the learning environment approach can improve learning outcomes of high school students

    The purpose of this research is to determine differences in motivation and learning outcomes of students who were taught by using talking chips technique with the students who were taught by using the conventional learning and to determine effect of talking chips technique on student learning outcomes in colloidal material. Samples were selected based on purposive sampling technique. The form of this research is quasy experimental with nonequivalent control group design. Instruments that used are test, motivation questionnaire and interview guides. The result of data analysis using U-Mann-Whitney test showed that there were differences in motivation and learning outcomes of students who were taught by using talking chips technique with the students who were taught by using the conventional learning. Talking chips technique give the effect of 23.57% on improving student learning outcomes

    : This study aims to determine differences in learning outcomes and interest among students who were learning to use the model given Discovery Learning with conventional learning and how much influence the model of Discovery Learning on student learning outcomes in colloidal material. This research method using a quasi-experimental design with Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Samples were selected based on sampling techniques saturated XI IPA 1 as an experimental class and class XI IPA 2 as the control class. Data collection tool used consisted of test results and questionnaires Interests. Results of the data analysis shows that there are differences in learning outcomes between students who are taught using a model of Discovery Learning with the students taught using conventional teaching methods. From questionnaires interests of students found that there is no difference between the experimental class and control class. The value of effect size showed that the learning model of Discovery Learning effect of 33,89% of the student learning outcomes

    The aims of this research is to determine the ability of microscopic and symbolic representations of 12th grade of student of public senior high school in Sambas on hydrolysis of salt matter. The method that used in this research is descriptive quantitative. There were 91 students of grade 12th who involved in this research. The students ability of microscopic and symbolic representation measured with essay written test. Technique of data analysis is based on data that has been gathered from the answers of the test. Based on the results of data analysis can be concluded that the ability of microscopic and symbolic representation of 12th grade of student of public senior high school in Sambas on hydrolysis of salt matter is low. This is shown by the low percentage of average students ability of microscopic and symbolic representation which only amounted to 17.1% (less deeply category) and 38.3% (less category) respectively

    The purpose of this research was to determine the level of feasibility and response of students to the integrated instrument component media of chemical bonding. The research method used was research and development (R&D) which adopt Borg & Gall development model. The subjects of this research was integrated instrument component media of chemical bonding which tested on the students of SMA Negeri 1 Sajad, SMA Negeri 1 Sambas, and SMA Negeri 1 Tebas. It was conducted initial field trials and main field trials of product users. The instruments used in this research was questionnaire. Based on research result, it can be concluded that the integrated instrument component media of chemical bonding is very feasible. It could be used in classroom to teach chemical bonding. According to expert, the percentage average score of graph, linguistic, and material judgement was 88,33% while student response to used this media was 81,39%

    Pengaruh Model Arias dengan Pendekatan Problem Posing terhadap Motivasi dan Hasil Belajar Kimia SMA

    The aims of the research are to determine: 1) the difference between students achievement who were taught using ARIAS learning model with Problem Posing approach to students achievement who were taught using conventional learning on colligative properties of solutions in SMAN 1 Rasau Jaya, 2) the effect of ARIAS learning model application with Problem Posing approach toward students achievement, 3) the improvement of students motivation after being taught using ARIAS learning model with Problem Posing approach. The method of this research was quasi-experiment with nonequivalent control group design. Sampling techniques using saturated sampling techniques toward 49 students of XII IPA. The result of data analysis showed that there was difference between students achievement in experiment class to students achievement in control class by value of Asymp.sig(2-tailed) in the amount of 0,039. Effect size value earned was 0,53 (medium) and giving effect about 20,2% toward students achievement, meanwhile the students motivation increased by 38,8%
