Blow up analysis for Boltzmann-Poisson equation in Onsager's theory for point vortices with multi-intensities

In this paper we consider the minimizing sequence for some energy functional of an elliptic equation associated with the mean field limit of the point vortex distribution one-sided Borel probability measure. If such a sequence blows up, we derive some estimate which is related to the behavior of solution near the blow-up point. Moreover, we study the two intensities case to consider the sufficient condition for this estimate. Our main results are new for the standard mean field equation as well.Comment: arXiv admin note: text overlap with arXiv:1412.490

    森林管理インセンティブプログラムに経済的インセンティブは本当に有効か? 久万林業活性化プロジェクトの再契約に関する私有林所有者の意思決定を事例とした検証

    Get PDF

The Redox Potential Measurements for Heme Moieties in Variants of d-Fructose Dehydrogenase Based on Mediator-assisted Potentiometric Titration

    Get PDF
The effect of mutation on the redox potentials (E degrees') of the heme moieties in the variants of D-fructose dehydrogenase (FDH) was investigated by mediated spectroelectrochemical titrations. The replacement of the axial ligand of heme from methionine to glutamine changes the E degrees' value more negatively than that of the corresponding heme moiety in the recombinant (native) FDH (rFDH). The determined E degrees' values of non-targeted heme moieties in the variants were also shifted in a negative direction from that in rFDH. Thus, enzyme modification changes E degrees' of the heme moieties in unmodified protein regions. (C) The Author(s) 2021. Published by ECSJ

EQUIVALENCE OF BMO-TYPE NORMS WITH APPLICATIONS TO THE HEAT AND STOKES SEMIGROUPS

    Get PDF
We introduce various spaces of functions of bounded mean oscillations (BMO) defined in a domain by taking into account the behavior of functions near the boundary. Then we establish several equivalences of these spaces. Moreover, we compare our space with a BMO space introduced by Miyachi. As an application we prove that the heat and the Stokes semigroup are analytic in such a type of spaces

The Witten index for one-dimensional split-step quantum walks under the non-Fredholm condition

Split-step quantum walks possess chiral symmetry. From a supercharge, that is the imaginary part of the time evolution operator, the Witten index can be naturally defined and it gives the lower bound of the dimension of eigenspaces of 11 or 1-1. The first three authors studied the Witten index as a Fredholm index under the condition that the supercharge satisfies the Fredholm condition. In this paper, we establish the Witten index formula under the non-Fredholm condition. To derive it, we employ the spectral shift function induced by the fourth-order difference operator with a rank one perturbation on the half-line. Under two-phase limit conditions and trace conditions, the Witten index only depends on parameters of two-side limits. Especially, half-integer indices appear.Comment: 26 pages, 1 figure
