Small-scale structures in neutrals and charged aerosol particles as observed during the ECOMA/MASS rocket campaign

We present results of in situ measurements of neutral temperature during the ECOMA/MASS rocket campaign. We present and compare results of turbulence measurements conducted simultaneously by both in situ and doppler radar techniques. We show that the derived values of the turbulence energy dissipation rates are similar on average. We also find a region with a near adiabatic lapse rate with turbulence detected at the upper and lower edge. We note that it is consistent with expectation for a Kelvin-Helmholtz instability. We also present an estimate of the Schmidt numbers, Sc, for the charged aerosols that utilizes in situ measured small-scale density fluctuations of charged aerosols and both in situ and radar turbulence measurements. The derived Schmidt numbers fall within the range between 100 and 4500. This result agrees with previous estimates based on multi-frequency observations of PMSE (Rapp et al., 2008) and also with estimates of microphysical parameters presented in the companion paper by Rapp et al. (2009)

Analysis of foreign countries’ digital economy programs (Argentina, Brazil, India and Mexico)

The article is devoted to the analysis of foreign countries’ digital economy programs. The study considers Argentina, Brazil, India and Mexico cases. The authors assess the general state and level of digitalization of the economy of these countries and the national programs adopted for the digital economy development. Next, the article examines the first programs aimed at digitalization of the economy in foreign countries. The authors identify the main problems hindering the digitalization of the economy in Argentina, Brazil, India and Mexico, the characteristic features of each program and analyze the measures taken by states to improve their positions in the world in terms of the economy digitalization. As a result of the study, the authors found that the most successful from the economic development point of view are those countries where, firstly, the digitalization of the economy is supported by the current government, and, secondly, where the systems of institutions responsible for digitalization and communications between them are well developed. The article notes that common problems for states at present are the lack of a unified regulatory framework for the digitalization of the economy, as well as differences in regional development, which, of course, slows down the pace of progress in this direction

Karst hazard assessment in the design of the main gas pipeline (South Yakutia)

The paper represents the description of the zonal and regional geological factors of geoengineering conditions which characterize the territory in South Yakutia crossed by the designed main gas pipeline. Cryogenic processes and karst are considered to be the most dangerous hazards for gas pipeline maintenance. Karst hazard assessment of the gas pipeline section made in the course of the research has involved a complex of geological methods: geoengineering, geophysical, hydrogeological, and mapping. Sections prone to karst development have been identified. The authors have suggested the measures to protect potentially hazardous sections and to ensure timely informing on sinkhole collapses

Розлади адаптації в іноземних студентів, що навчаються англійською мовою в період пандемії

The article presents a detailed study of clinical manifestations of adjustment disorders. The aim of our research to study the peculiarities of adjustment disorders of English speaking international students and to develop a system of its psychotherapeutic correction in a medical institution of higher education. The research methods: theoretical analysis and generalization of literature on the research topic, psychodiagnostic and mathematical-statistical methods. The study was conducted in the context in English speaking foreign students of reforming educational services in Ukrainian higher education institutions against the background of the COVID-19 pandemic and distance learning. The study based on 103 English speaking foreign students of III-Vth years of education in Kharkiv National Medical University, both sex (52 male and 51 female). The average age of the surveyed foreign students was 22.0±1.8 years. Foreign students were divided into three groups. The first group included 40 fourth-year students, the second group 40 third-year students, the third group consisted of 23 fifth-year students. The survey consisted of several stages and was conducted on-line. The first stage was carried out at the beginning of the quarantine, the second after 3 months. Psycho-corrective measures had a positive effect on the dynamics of mental state in 82.5 % of international students. In 68.7 % there was a reduction in maladaptation.В статті представлено детальне дослідження клінічних проявів розладів адаптації. Мета дослідження: вивчення особливостей розладів адаптації іноземних студентів англомовної форми навчання та розробка системи їх психотерапевтичної корекції в умовах медичного закладу вищої освіти. Методи дослідження: теоретичний аналіз та узагальнення літератури з теми дослідження, психодіагностичні та математико-статистичні методи. Дослідження проводилось в контексті англомовних іноземних студентів щодо реформування освітніх послуг у вищих навчальних закладах України на тлі пандемії COVID-19 та дистанційного навчання. Дослідження проведене на 103 англомовних іноземних студентах III-V курсів Харківського національного медичного університету, обох статей (52 чоловіки та 51 жінка). Середній вік опитаних іноземних студентів становив 22,0±1,8 року. Іноземних студентів розділили на три групи. Перша група включала 40 студентів четвертого курсу, друга група – 40 студентів третього курсу, третя група складалася з 23 студентів п’ятого курсу. Опитування складалося з декількох етапів і проводилося в режимі он-лайн. Перший етап проводився на початку карантину, другий – через 3 місяці. Психокорекційні заходи позитивно вплинули на динаміку психічного стану у 82,5% іноземних студентів. У 68,7% відмічено редукцію дезадаптиіних станів
