Data science in public mental health : a new analytic framework
Understanding public mental health issues and finding solutions can be complex and requires advanced techniques, compared to conventional data analysis projects. It is important to have a comprehensive project management process to ensure that project associates are competent and have enough knowledge to implement the process. Therefore, this paper presents a new framework that mental health professionals can use to solve challenges they face. Although a large number of research papers have been published on public mental health, few have addressed the use of data science in public mental health. Recently, Data Science has changed the way we manage, analyze and leverage data in healthcare industry. Data science projects differ from conventional data analysis, primarily because of the scientific approach used during data science projects. One of the motives for introducing a new framework is to motivate healthcare professionals to use "Data Science" to address the challenges of mental health. Having a good data analysis framework and clear guidelines for a comprehensive analysis is always a plus point. It also helps to predict the time and resources needed in the early in the process to get a clear idea of the problem to be solved
Origin of the Significant Impact of Ta on the Creep Resistance of FeCrNi Alloys
Heat resistant FeCrNi alloys are widely used in the petrochemical industry
because they exhibit a unique combination of creep and oxidation resistance at
temperatures exceeding 900C. Their creep properties are often optimized
by micro-additions of carbide forming elements. In the present work, the
influence of Ta micro-additions has been experimentally investigated both on
as-cast and aged microstructures to understand the origin of the significant
impact of this element on the creep resistance. Calculations with thermocal
software were also carried out to support experimental data. It is shown that a
small addition of Ta is beneficial as it increases the volume fraction of
stable MC carbides. We demonstrate also that additions of Ta may have a
dramatic effect on the thermal stability of microstructures. This is attributed
to a smaller equilibrium volume fraction of M23C6 and more pronounced
heterogeneous precipitation at MC/matrix interfaces. The influence on the creep

The old questions are the best: striving against invalidity in qualitative research
This chapter enters an old debate on the shape of validation processes in qualitative research. We discuss a reflective research validation framework related to teaching approaches and practices. The majority of investigations in this area draw mainly on indirect observation, semistructured interviews or the application of questionnaires and inventories. To this extent, only “half-the-story” has been reported. The validation framework here develops a five-part three stage structure, conceptualized as an “iterative-interactive-process,” integrating a set of strategies aimed at the “minimization of invalidity.” The application of the framework is illustrated through a longitudinal study investigating the relationship between classroom questioning practices and teachers’ preferential teaching approaches. Terminomics methodologies and the completeness of reductive dimethylation: A meta-analysis of publicly available datasets

Methods for analyzing the terminal sequences of proteins have been refined over the previous decade; however, few studies have evaluated the quality of the data that have been produced from those methodologies. While performing global N-terminal labelling on bacteria, we observed that the labelling was not complete and investigated whether this was a common occurrence. We assessed the completeness of labelling in a selection of existing, publicly available N-terminomics datasets and empirically determined that amine-based labelling chemistry does not achieve complete labelling and potentially has issues with labelling amine groups at sequence-specific residues. This finding led us to conduct a thorough review of the historical literature that showed that this is not an unexpected finding, with numerous publications reporting incomplete labelling. These findings have implications for the quantitation of N-terminal peptides and the biological interpretations of these data
