Probe of anomalous neutrino couplings to W and Z in medium energy setup of a beta-beam facility

Capability of medium energy setup of a beta beam experiment to probe new physics contributions to neutrino-W and neutrino-Z couplings are investigated. We employ the effective lagrangian approach of Buchmuller and Wyler and obtain 95% confidence level limits on neutrino couplings to these gauge bosons without assuming the flavor universality of the coupling of neutrinos. We show that a beta beam facility can place 3 to 20 times more restrictive limits than present ones on the deviations from the electron neutrino couplings in the Standard Model.Comment: 22 pages, 10 figure

Tests of flavor universality for neutrino-Z couplings in future neutrino experiments

We investigate the physics potential of NuSOnG experiment to probe new physics contributions to Z-neutrino-neutrino couplings in muon-neutrino electron elastic and neutral-current deep-inelastic scattering processes. We employ an effective Lagrangian approach and do not a priori assume universality of the coupling of neutrinos to Z. We obtain 95% C.L. limits on possible universality violating couplings.Comment: LaTeX with 6 figure

A Search for pair production of the LSP ντ~\tilde{\nu_{\tau}} at the CLIC via RPV Decays

In this work we consider pair production of LSP tau-sneutrinos at the Compact Lineer Collider. We assume that tau-sneutrinos decays in to e\textmu pair via RPV interactions. Backgroundless subprocess e−e+→ν~ν~ˉ→μ+μ+e−e−(μ−μ−e+e+)e{}^{-}e^{+}\rightarrow\tilde{\nu}\bar{\tilde{\nu}}\rightarrow\mu^{+}\mu^{+}e^{-}e^{-}(\mu^{-}\mu^{-}e^{+}e^{+}) is analyzed in details. Achievable limits on Br (ν~τ→μe)Br\,(\tilde{\nu}_{\tau}\rightarrow\mu e) at 3σ3\sigma and 5σ5\sigma CL are obtained depending on ντ~\tilde{\nu_{\tau}} mass.Comment: 8 pages, 5 figure

Measuring inequalities in the distribution of health workers by bi-plot approach: The case of Turkey

    Get PDF
Optimal planning of the health workers is of vital importance for a country. Distribution of health workers among provinces in emerging markets is an important development criterion. In this study, biplot graphical approach is used to determine the distribution of health workers. The results of biplot analysis point out that the distribution of the healthcare staff in Turkey is unbalanced. The number of health workers should be planned and considered according to the desire, need, population, target and workload criteria. The new employment opportunities should be created and the workers should be encouraged to serve in low income regions by providing better conditions

    Unemployment Dynamics in the OECD

We provide a set of comparable estimates for the rates of inflow to and outflow fromunemployment using publicly available data for fourteen OECD economies. We thendevise a method to decompose changes in unemployment into contributions accountedfor by changes in inflow and outflow rates for cases where unemployment deviates fromits flow steady state, as it does in many countries. Our decomposition reveals thatfluctuations in both inflow and outflow rates contribute substantially to unemploymentvariation within countries. For Anglo-Saxon economies we find approximately a 15:85inflow/outflow split to unemployment variation, while for Continental European andNordic countries, we observe much closer to a 45:55 split. Using the estimated flowrates we compute gross worker flows into and out of unemployment. In all economieswe observe that increases in inflows lead increases in unemployment, whereas outflows lag a ramp up in unemployment
