Use of the calorimeter to improve analyzing power of the reactions, investigating secondary proton polarization
The reaction p + CH2 - \u3e forward charge particle + X is used for this aim traditionally. Analyzing power of this reaction falls off as 1/p, where p is the laboratory momentum. At the proton momenta of order 8 GeV/c, which are expected at the JLab experiment, the low analyzing power creates problems for off-line analysis of data. On the other hand, it is well known that the reaction p+p - \u3e p+p has the much more analyzing power. So, the calorimeter is predestinated for suppression of inelastic events in this reaction. In the report it is shown that the problem is solved quite well
Methods of determination of perspective region’s industries as factor of innovational process intensification
The article is devoted to problems of perspective industries determination, which are capable to activate innovative potential of the region. The perspective aspect of innovational process intensification, the choice of regional development perspective trends, based on its potential capabilities and resources, as well as particular significance of regional innovative development are substantiated in this article; the perspectives of its development in this course are estimate
Energy and time resolution for a LYSO matrix prototype of the Mu2e experiment
We have measured the performances of a LYSO crystal matrix prototype tested
with electron and photon beams in the energy range 60450 MeV. This study has
been carried out to determine the achievable energy and time resolutions for
the calorimeter of the Mu2e experiment.Comment: 2 pages, 3 figures, 13th Pisa Meeting on Advanced Detector
Systemic characteristic of safety profile of monoclonal antibodies used in rheumatology practice
Monoclonal antibodies are highly effective medications, which made a breakthrough in medicine. Taking into consideration the properties of monoclonal antibodies safety plays a key role in “risk-benefit” assessment. For monoclonal antibodies this remains studied insufficiently. The article presents a systemic characteristic of safety profile of monoclonal antibodies used in rheumatology, based on the database of spontaneous reports of the Federal Service for the Supervision of Healthcare. Specified greater alertness of Russian practitioners regarding the risk of developing tuberculosis infections in comparison to their foreign counterparts. Spontaneous reports of the development of neoplasms and deviations of laboratory tests, according to our data, on the contrary, are reported less. It is advisable to draw the attention of practitioners to the peculiarities of work with isolated deviations in laboratory tests and keep alert about the safety issues of monoclonal antibodies in general. It is important to continue monitoring to characterize delayed type D adverse drug reactions
Monitoring of drug safety
The article presents recommendations for doctors, pharmacists, developers and manufacturers on how to prepare and report to the regulatory ofthe Russian Federation individual case safety reports of adverse drug reactions, unefficiency or adverse drug interaction
Determination of Deuteron Beam Polarizations at COSY
The vector and tensor polarizations of a deuteron beam have been measured
using elastic deuteron-carbon scattering at 75.6 MeV and deuteron-proton
scattering at 270 MeV. After acceleration to 1170 MeV inside the COSY ring, the
polarizations of the deuterons were checked by studying a variety of nuclear
reactions using a cluster target at the ANKE magnet spectrometer placed at an
internal target position of the storage ring. All these measurements were
consistent with the absence of depolarization during acceleration and provide a
number of secondary standards that can be used in subsequent experiments at the
facility.Comment: 12 pages, 13 figure
