The Price Impact of Order Book Events
We study the price impact of order book events - limit orders, market orders
and cancelations - using the NYSE TAQ data for 50 U.S. stocks. We show that,
over short time intervals, price changes are mainly driven by the order flow
imbalance, defined as the imbalance between supply and demand at the best bid
and ask prices. Our study reveals a linear relation between order flow
imbalance and price changes, with a slope inversely proportional to the market
depth. These results are shown to be robust to seasonality effects, and stable
across time scales and across stocks. We argue that this linear price impact
model, together with a scaling argument, implies the empirically observed
"square-root" relation between price changes and trading volume. However, the
relation between price changes and trade volume is found to be noisy and less
robust than the one based on order flow imbalance
Membrane extraction of organic compounds 2. * transport of glycolic acid induced by α-aminophosphonates: Kinetic study
New lipophilic α-aminophosphonates containing cyclic or acyclic alkyl substituents at the carbon atom in the a position were synthesized by the Kabachnik-Fields reaction. Studies of the obtained compounds as carriers for transport of glycolic acid through polymer-supported liquid membranes demonstrated that the flux of glycolic acid through the membrane depends on the lipophilicity and the presence of substituents at the α-C atom of aminophosphonate. The structures of a number of α-aminophosphonate - glycolic acid complexes were calculated by the semiempirical PM3 method
Lipophilic aminophosphonates and their calix[4]arene derivatives: synthesis and membrane transport of biorelevant species
Many new lipophilic α-aminophosphonates including macrocylic (on calix[4]arene platform) and chiral ones were synthesized by the Kabachnik-Fields reaction. Some of them were examined as carriers for membrane transport of biorelevant species such as hydroxy, amino acids, and amino alcohols. Transport measurements showed that these compounds exhibited remarkable efficiency and selectivity of the transport of very hydrophilic substances across lipophilic membranes. The structures of α-amino-phosphonate-substrate complexes were investigated by spectral and theoretical methods
腸骨動脈領域の閉塞性動脈硬化症に対する血管内治療
閉塞性動脈硬化症(arteriosclerosis obliterans、以下ASO)に対する血管内治療は、低侵襲性治療としてステントを用いた治療が急速に普及しつつある。ステントを用いた血管内治療は、大腿動脈領域では高い再狭窄率に問題を残しているが、腸骨動脈病変では良好な初期および遠隔成績が報告されている????????????????????????????。今回我々は、当科における腸骨動脈領域のASOに対する血管内治療の成績を検討したので報告する。1998年6月から2007年11月までに、腸骨動脈領域のASOに対し、当科において血管内治療を施行した症例は17例であり、男性16例、女性1例、平均年齢は72.2歳であった。また、Trans Atlantic Inter-Society consensusⅡ(TASCⅡ)によって層別化された分類????(以下、TASC 分類)に基づいた病変形状はA型が16例、B型が1例であった。ガイドワイヤーが病変部を通過しなかった1例を除く全例にstenting を行い、初期成功率は91.4%であった。合併する大腿動脈以下の血管病変に対し、同時手術を2例、二期的手術を2例に施行した。在院死亡は2例に認め、平均入院期間は29.7日であった。再狭窄は1例で、術後1年6ヵ月後に90%のステント内再狭窄を認めた。当科における腸骨動脈領域のASOに対する血管内治療の成績は諸家の報告と同様に満足するものであった。2例の在院死亡は、いずれも併存疾患を有する対側下肢切断例であり、より厳重な全身管理が重要と思われた
Development of a method for introducing 1-aminophosphonate fragment in a siloxane matrix

The Opportunity Process for Optimal Consumption and Investment with Power Utility
We study the utility maximization problem for power utility random fields in
a semimartingale financial market, with and without intermediate consumption.
The notion of an opportunity process is introduced as a reduced form of the
value process of the resulting stochastic control problem. We show how the
opportunity process describes the key objects: optimal strategy, value
function, and dual problem. The results are applied to obtain monotonicity

Self-assembly of stereoisomers of p-tert-butyl thiacalix[4]arenes tetrasubstituted at the lower rim by a tertiary amide group with cations of p- and d-elements in the organic phase
The ability of p-tert-butyl thiacalix[4]arenes tetrasubstituted at the lower rim by morpholide and pyrrolidide groups in cone, partial cone, and 1,3-alternate conformations to recognize cations of p- (Al3+, Pb 2+) and d- (Fe3+, Co3+, Ni2+, Cu2+, Cd2+, Hg2+) elements has been studied by the picrate extraction method, dynamic light scattering (DLS), and atomic force microscopy (AFM). The hydrodynamic diameters of supramolecular associates, polydispersity index of host-guest systems, and molecular weight of nanoscale aggregates consisting of p-tert-butyl thiacalix[4]arenes and metal nitrates have been determined by the correlation spectroscopy method. It was shown that the investigated macrocycles are effective extractants for metal cations. All the investigated thiacalix[4]arenes are able to form dimers of about 1 nm with metal cations and nanoscale particles of 238 and 212 nm with Ni2+ and Pb2+ cations, respectively. © 2009 American Chemical Society
