“A comparative analysis of HDFC bank financial performance before and after acquisition with centurion bank of Punjab”. The HDFC Bank was incorporated on August 1994 by the name of 'HDFC Bank Limited', with its registered office in Mumbai, India. India's third-largest lender, HDFC Bank, is acquiring Centurion Bank of Punjab for about 95.1 billion rupees ($2.4 billion) in stock, extending its network before foreign institutions are allowed larger access to the Indian banking market next year. Centurion Bank merged with Bank of Punjab (at swap ratio to 4:9) to form Centurion Bank of Punjab. Finally on May 23, 2008, the one of India's most renowned banks - HDFC Bank acquired Centurion Bank of Punjab Methodology is defined to study of methods by which we again knowledge, it deals with cognitive processes imposed on research the problems arising from the nature of its subject matter. Ratio analysis is the calculation and comparison of various financial ratio derived company’s financial statements. Total Debt Ratio, Efficiency Ratio, Return on Average Asset Ratios, Asset Utilization, Return on assets (ROA), Equity Multiplier, Tax Ratio, Profit Margin The total share capital for the year 2010 is 457.7 is higher than the other year total share capital value. The company should increase the profit margin after the acquisition the profit margin it’s continually lower then following years. The HDFC Bank should take necessary steps to improve the return on asset. The HDFC Bank is performing well after the acquisition but some of the variable like profit margin, tax ratio, returns on asset, borrowing. If all these variables are rectified then the company gets more profit

    Evidence of a Sub-Saturn around EPIC~211945201

We report here strong evidence for a sub-Saturn around EPIC~211945201 and confirm its planetary nature. EPIC~211945201b was found to be a planetary candidate from {\it K2} photometry in Campaigns 5 \& 16, transiting a bright star (Vmag=10.15V_{\rm mag}=10.15, G0 spectral type) in a 19.492 day orbit. However, the photometric data combined with false positive probability calculations using VESPA was not sufficient to confirm the planetary scenario. Here we present high-resolution spectroscopic follow-up of the target using the PARAS spectrograph (19 radial velocity observations) over a time-baseline of 420 days. We conclusively rule out the possibility of an eclipsing binary system and confirm the 2-σ\sigma detection of a sub-Saturn planet. The confirmed planet has a radius of 6.12±0.1\pm0.1 R~R_{\oplus}, and a mass of 2712.6+1427_{-12.6}^{+14}~MM_{\oplus}. We also place an upper limit on the mass (within the 3-σ\sigma confidence interval) at 42~MM_{\oplus} above the nominal value. This results in the Saturn-like density of 0.650.30+0.340.65_{-0.30}^{+0.34} g~cm3^{-3}. Based on the mass and radius, we provide a preliminary model-dependent estimate that the heavy element content is 60-70 \% of the total mass. This detection is important as it adds to a sparse catalog of confirmed exoplanets with masses between 10-70 MM_{\oplus} and radii between 4-8 RR_{\oplus}, whose masses and radii are measured to a precision of 50\% or better (only 23 including this work).Comment: Accepted for publication in The Astronomical Journal, 17 pages, 8 figure

Nalagarh valley is the southernmost expanse of Himachal Pradesh; belong to the rapid industrial belt of Baddi, Barotiwala and Nalagarh (BBN). The present investigation is to examine the suitability of groundwater quality for drinking purpose and factor prevailing hydrochemistry by collecting 32 groundwater samples during pre and post monsoon. The physical and chemical analyses result shows the parameters like Cl-, HCO3-, SO42-, NO32- are well within desirable limit as per BIS. At some locations the concentration of pH, TH and Mg2+ exceeded the permissible limits and nearly 50% samples of EC, TDS, Ca2+ shows above the desirable limit of BIS which gives us cautions. Classification of hydrochemical facies of groundwater revealed that all the samples belong to the Ca2+-Mg2+-HCO3- water types. Based on the Soltan’s Classification, the groundwater sample are categorized normal chloride, normal sulfate and normal bicarbonate water type. Base-exchange indices and meteoric genesis indices indicates majority of samples belongs to Na+- HCO3- and shallow water percolating type are 93.75% and 90.63% respectively. According to Gibb’s ratio, the entire water sample fall in the rock dominance field for both season. Key words: Water resources, Groundwater Quality, Hydrochemical facies, Base-exchange indices, Gibb’s rati

Background: Advanced maternal age, generally signify age after 35 years at the time of delivery. It is associated with decreased fertility and increased risk. Methods: This was a prospective study conducted in Kamla Raja Hospital, G.R. Medical College, Gwalior (M.P.) during the period of one year from July 2015 to June 2016.  Pregnant women aged 35 years and older at the time of delivery were selected and analyzed for maternal and perinatal outcome. Results: A total no. of 288 elderly pregnant patients were selected for the study. Most of the cases were in the age group 35 to 39 years (89.93%). Multi gravida (71.8%) and grand multi para (22.22%) constituted the largest group. Most of the cases belong to lower socio-economic status (90%). Percentage of unbooked cases was 82.98%. The causes of delay in pregnancy were preference for male child (23.95%) and unwareness of contraception (21.52%). The incidence of diabetes mellitus and chronic hypertension were increased. Overall cesarean rate was increased (35%). Incidence of abortions 28(9.72%), preterm delivery 18(6.25%), oligohydramnios 18(6.25%), APH 18(6.25%) and PROM 17(5.90%), low birth weight baby 30(13.19%), NICU admission 20 (6.94%), IUGR 11(3.81%) all were high. The preference for male child 69(23.95%) and lack of awareness 62(21.52%) were two major reason for continuing pregnancies and deliveries till late age. Conclusions: The present study showed that pregnancy at advanced age is a higher risk pregnancy in term of increased maternal and perinatal morbidity and mortality

    Get PDF
Soil moisture sensor is an instrument for quick measurements of soil moisture content in the crop root zone on real time basis. The main objective of this research was development and evaluation of an indigenous sensor for precise irrigation scheduling. The various parts of sensor developed were ceramic cup, acrylic pipe, level sensor, tee, reducer, gland, cork, and end cap. The designed system was successfully tested on okra crop and calibrated with frequency domain reflectometry (FDR) by three methods of irrigation, i.e. check basin, furrow and drip, respectively. The average depth of water depletion in modified tensiometer by these methods was 27 to 35 cm at 50% management allowable depletion (MAD) of field capacity. This depth was useful for the level sensor to be installed inside modified tensiometer for real time irrigation scheduling. The correlation coefficient (R2) between soil moisture content obtained from the developed sensor and FDR was 0.963. Sensor network was integrated with global system for mobile communication (GSM), short message service (SMS) and drip head work to develop an automated irrigation system. This would enable farmers to effectively monitor and control water application in the field by sending command through SMS and receiving pumping status through the mobile phone
