    Get PDF
The Internet provides a great extent of beneficial knowledge which is usually formatted for its users, which makes it troublesome to extract relevant data from diverse sources. The World Wide Web plays a major role as all kinds of information repository and has been very success full in disseminating information to users. For the encoded data units to be machine process able, which is essential for many applications such as deep web data collection and internet comparison shopping, they need to be extracted out and allot meaningful labels. This paper deals with the automatic annotation of Search result records from the multiple web databases. Search result presents an automatic annotation approach that first aligns the data units on a result page into different groups such that the data in the same group have the same semantic. Then for each group annotate it from different aspects and aggregate the different annotations to predict a final annotation label for it. Finally wrapper is automatically generated by the automatic tag matching weight method. DOI: 10.17762/ijritcc2321-8169.15070

    Get PDF
AbstractDiscourse relations in natural languages link clauses in text and compose overall text structure. Discourse connectives are an important part of modeling the Malayalam discourse structure. We followed the annotation procedure of Penn Discourse Tree Bank and worked on tagging of discourse connectives and arguments of Malayalam text and also report the senses of relation. We present our work on annotations of Malayalam discourse connectives and arguments which helps to know more about the discourse connectives and their appearance in case of semantic rules in Malayalam discourse. Discourse connectives may or may not be explicitly present in the relation. In our work, we focus on the annotation of both explicit and implicit connectives and arguments in Malayalam text and showed encouraging results

Background: Fine needle aspiration cytology (FNAC) is a relatively safe diagnostic tool with high sensitivity and specificity. Due to lesion inherent properties and lack of proper technique, adequate cellularity is not yielded in some instances, resulting in an inconclusive report. In such instances we have to go for repeat FNA to make a proper diagnosis. Repeat aspirations impose unnecessary workload on the lab and are distressful to the patients. The issue of repeat aspiration is largely unaddressed. Objectives were to identify the proportion of repeated fine needle aspirations in breast and thyroid lesions turning out to be diagnostic and to identify and describe the common factors leading to repeat fine needle aspiration. Methods: 190 cases of repeated FNA including both thyroid and breast lesions are included in the study. FNA done after an initial aspiration with inconclusive smear is considered as repeated FNA. History, clinical examination findings, findings in imaging studies, nature of aspirate obtained for each patient advised repeat FNA, are recorded. Proportion of repeat FNAs turning out to be diagnostic and the documented reasons for repeat were taken as the outcome measure. Results: 78% of repeat FNA in thyroid lesions and 50% of the repeat FNA in breast lesions were diagnostic. Inadequate cellularity, haemorrhagic aspirate and cystic change are the most common factors leading to repeat FNA.Conclusions: Since thyroid and breast are the most common sites where FNA is done and 64% of the total lesions are diagnostic, repeat FNA in all other sites are likely to yield a similar diagnostic outcome. Hence, repeat FNA is advisable in lesions which had initial non diagnostic result

Objective: Numerous epidemiological studies have been carried out to assess the association of ABO blood typing and systemic diseases. However, the research is still at the infancy stage with regards to the dental field. Periodontitis, being one of the most prevalent diseases in the oral cavity can be supposed to be influenced by the blood grouping pattern among patients. The present cross-sectional study was carried out to asses the relationship between periodontal disease status and the ABO blood group. Methods: In a retrospective study of 2014, patients who reported to Saveetha Dental College and Hospital and diagnosed with chronic periodontitis, both localized and generalized forms were included. Demographic data, diagnostic and the ABO blood grouping information were procured from the case records of 410 subjects and then analysed. Results: Among the 410 individuals, 245 were diagnosed with localized chronic periodontitis whereas 165 subjects had suffered from generalized chronic periodontitis. A high fraction of the localized periodontitis population (20.97%) was of the blood group ‘B.' Similarly(12.92%) of the generalized periodontitis cases belonged to either ‘B' or ‘O' blood groups. The least affected blood group was ‘AB.'Conclusion: This cross-sectional study shows a definite relation between blood typing and periodontal disease. Further studies are required in order to validate the usage of blood groups as risk predictors for periodontitis.Â

Deep learning has revolutionized the field of artificial intelligence by achieving state-of-the-art performance on a variety of complex tasks. Attention mechanisms have emerged as a powerful tool to enhance the capabilities of deep neural networks by enabling them to selectively focus on relevant information. In this article, we propose a novel artificial intelligence algorithm called Deep Attention Networks (DANs), which associate multiple attention mechanisms to improve performance on interesting tasks. We evaluate DANs on benchmark datasets in natural language processing, computer vision, and speech recognition and demonstrate superior results compared to existing state-of-the-art approaches. Our approach opens up new possibilities for advancing the field of artificial intelligence and holds promise for various real-world applications. Overall, our results demonstrate the effectiveness and potential of DANs for various AI applications, and highlight the power of combining deep neural networks with attention mechanisms

An unusual initial presentation of mantle cell lymphoma arising from the lymphoid stroma of warthin tumor.

BackgroundWarthin tumors presenting concomitantly with a lymphoma is vanishingly rare with only 15 reported cases in English literature. Herein, we report an unusual initial presentation of a mantle cell lymphoma involving the lymphoid stroma of a Warthin tumor.Case presentationA seventy-seven year old otherwise healthy gentleman with a 50-pack year smoking history presents with a slowly enlarging left cheek mass. CT scan of the neck demonstrated a left parotid gland tumor measuring 3.4 cm in greatest dimension. He underwent a left superficial parotidectomy, with subsequent histopathologic examination revealing a Warthin tumor with extensive expansion of the lymphoid stroma. Flow cytometric, immunohistochemical, and cytogenetic studies of the stromal component of the tumor confirmed the presence of a mantle cell lymphoma. Clinical staging demonstrated stage IVa disease, and was considered to be at low to intermediate risk due to the slow growth of the parotid lesion. The patient is undergoing close follow up with repeat PET-CT scans at six months.ConclusionTo the best of our knowledge, this is the first well documented collision tumor between mantle cell lymphoma and a Warthin tumor. This case also brings to light the significance of thorough evaluation of the lymphoid component of Warthin tumor

This study examined the effect of different pH, light intensity and different concentrations of NaNO3, NaH2PO4 and NaCl on the kinetics of growth, total carotenoids accumulated in Dunaliella salina EU5891200, a micro algal strain isolated from the salt pans of Tamil Nadu, South India. Results indicated that the highest amount of carotenoids detected grown at pH 8, 40 µEm-2s-1 light intensity had maximum production of total carotenoids. Lower salinity of 1.0 M NaCl favored high accumulation of total carotenoids. The amounts of total carotenoids recorded at 1.0 mM NaNO3 for D. salina had 20% more than the control. Phosphate was found to greatly influence the accumulation of total carotenoids (120.0µg/mL) in the isolate
