    Pengaruh Pembelajaran Mini Riset Berbasis Kearifan Lokal terhadap Kemampuan Penguasaan Materi Biologi Konservasi

    This research is purposed to understand the impact of mini research learning based on local wisdom towards the ability mastership of biology conservation content. The mastery of biology conservation concept is vital to the real life application in order to change the student's attitude, prowess, value, behavior, and believe towards nature, which in the end could trigger the sustainable development. The method used in this research is the quasi experiment with nonequivalent control group design. The result showed that the concept mastery after the application of mini research learning based on local wisdom (post-test) was higher (80) compare to the control class (66). Moreover, the ability of content mastership (N-gain) after the application of mini research learning based on local wisdom was 0.69, higher than the control class (0.47). Furthermore, the result of t-test showed that there was a different of student's content mastery between experiment and control class. This could mean that the mini research learning based on local wisdom impacts the content master

    The Effect of the Addition of Liquid Smoke on the Quality of Shredded Tuna (Euthynnusaffinis) During at Room Temperature Storage

    The research aimed to determine the effect of liquid smoke to the quality of shredded tuna (Euthynnus affinis) during at room temperature storage. The method used in this study was experimental study by using Randomized Completely Block Design. The treatment was addition of liquid at variet composition, those were: no smoke liquid added as a control (A0), added with liquid smoke 4 ml (A1), 8 ml (A2), and 12 ml (A3), calculated based on gramsfish meat. The product of sheredded fish were stored at room temperature and observed on the right after processing, 2 weeks, 4 weeks, and 6 weeks. The parameters used in this study were the organoleptic evaluation, included: appearance, texture, odor, and flavor, followed by proximate analyses, included: moisture, protein, fat, and ash, content of total phenols and total acid, pH and the value of TBA. The results showed that the highest quality of shredded tuna fish was produced by the addition of 4 ml liquid smoke (A1), with such criteria 7.4, texture 6.7, smell 6.7, flavor 7.3, water content 8.15%, protein content 39.84, fat content 24.10%, ash content 6.0%, total phenolic 12.78%, total acid 3.92%, pH 5.69, TBA value 3.02mg malonaldehid/kg sample. TBA value indicates the addition of 4 ml liquid smoke could reduce the increase of TBA value in shredded tuna fish and so extend this shelf life

    Kementerian Kelautan dan Perikanan (KKP) telah menetapkan lokasi pembangunan Sentra Kelautan dan Perikanan Terpadu (SKPT) di pulau-pulau kecil dan kawasan perbatasan. Ini sesuai Keputusan Menteri (Kepmen) No.51 Tahun 2016 tentang Penetapan Lokasi Pembangunan Sentra Kelautan dan Perikanan Terpadu di Pulau-Pulau Kecil dan Kawasan Perbatasan yang bertujuan untuk mengembangkan jaringan konektivitas hasil tangkapan ikan nelayan untuk dikelola mulai pendaratan, penyimpanan hingga pemasarannya. Selama ini hasil tangkapan ikan dari nelayan hanya dipasarkan pada area terbatas yang dikarenakan sarana transportasi kapal pengangkut ke area pemasaran besar yang belum memadai, misalnya kapasitas kapal angkut yang kecil juga kendala cuaca selama pelayaran sulit diatasi. Desain kapal angkut ikan ikan 60 GT, ruang muat ikan dilengkapi sistem pendingin, dapat difungsikan sebagai kapal kolektor bagi nelayan yang tersebar pada area SKPT untuk mengangkut ikan ke area pemasaran. Pada kajian ini dilakukan analisa terhadap kemampuan olah gerak (seakeeping) hasil desain kapal angkut ikan 60 GT dalam menghadapi gelombang perairan Wilayah Indonesia. Hasil kajian ini sangat diperlukan pihak operator atau kapten kapal dalam mengenal kemampuan olah gerak kapal yang dioperasikan dalam menghadapi gelombang selama berlayar dan dapat selamat dan tepat waktu sampai tujuan yang direncanakan

    Kemampuan Profesional Guru Biologi dalam Memahami dan Merancang Model Pembelajaran Konservasi Biodiversitas di SMA

    : The purpose of this study was to gain the knowledge about biology teachers' concept mastery on biodiversity conservation as well as how to teach it. This study used descriptive methods with the questionnaires to 31 respondents of SMA/MA in Kota/KabSerang. The research result showed that 52% respondents had mastered the biodiversity concept. However, only 3% of respondents had fully mastered biodiversity conservation. In addition, for the teaching methods 58% respondents used observation, 45% respondents used discussion, 23% respondents used lecturing and 16% respondents used an interactive method. Moreover, for the difficulty level, 87% of respondents argued that it was easy to master the biodiversity conservation materials and 81% said that it was easier to teach the concept than other concepts. Only 6% of the teachers had gained the knowledge about biodiversity conservation when they had the training. Thus, the training is urgently needed to train the teachers in order to guarantee the Continuing Professional Development (CPD)

    Pengaruh Penerapan Program Perkuliahan Biologi Konservasi Berbasis Kearifan Lokal terhadap Kemampuan Literasi Biodiversitas Mahasiswa Calon Guru Biologi

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kompetensi mahasiswa menguasai dan mengaplikasikan konsep konservasi literasi biodiversitas, yaitu dengan penerapan program perkuliahan Biologi Konservasi Berbasis Kearifan Lokal (BKBKL) yang memadukan pembelajaran aktif di kelas dengan pembelajaran di lapangan. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode quasi eksperimen. Subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Biologi, FKIP Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa pada semester Ganjil 2012/2013. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan tes, sedang analisis data dengan uji beda rata-rata (uji t). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan peningkatan literasi biodiversitas mahasiswa antara kelas eksperimen dengan kelas kontrol. Hal ini dapat diartikan bahwa perkuliahan BKBKL yang dikembangkan mempengaruhi peningkatan literasi biodiversitas mahasiswa. Hal ini disebabkan perkuliahan BKBKL melibatkan kemampuan mahasiswa menginvestigasi, mengembangkan keterampilan proses biodiversitas dan kemampuan penguasaan konsep sehingga mereka mampu bertindak untuk menghargai biodiversitas. Akumulasi tindakan yang dilakukan oleh peserta didik akan membentuk karakter konservasi. Kata Kunci: literasi biodiversitas, kearifan lokal, biologi konservasi THE EFFECT OF THE CONSERVATION BIOLOGY COURSE PROGRAM BASED ON THE LOCAL WISDOM TOWARDS THE BIOLOGY TEACHER CANDIDATES' BIODIVERSITY LITERACY CAPABILITY Absract: This study was aimed to describe the students' competence in mastering and applying the biodiversity literacy conservation concept, that is, through the implementation of the conservation Biology course program based on local wisdom integrating the active teaching in the class and the teaching in the field. The method used is the quasi-experimental method. The subjects were students of the Biology Education Department Study Program, FKIP Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University in the odd semester of 2012/2013. The data were collected using a test and analyzed using the t-test. The findings showed that there was a significant difference in the biodiversity literacy improvement between the experimental group and the control group. This can be concluded that the conservation Biology course based on local wisdom influences the students biodiversity literacy improvement. This is because the conservation Biology course program based on local wisdom involved students' ability to investigate, to develop the biodiversity process skill and the students' ability to master the concept so that they could appreciate the biodiversity. The accummulation of the actions done by the students will be able to implant their conservation character

    Pengembangan Bahan Ajar Biologi Konservasi Berbasis Etnopedagogi

    Penelitian ini bertujuan mengekplorasi kearifan lokal di Banten untuk pengembangan bahan ajarbiologi konservasi berbasis etnopedagogi. Metode R&D digunakan untuk mengembangkan bahanajar. Ditemukan tiga konsep kearifan lokal yang dapat digunakan untuk konten pembelajaran biologikonservasi yaitu (1) konsep pembagian lansekap untuk pembelajaran konsep biodiversitas tingkatekosistem; (2) pemanfaatan spesies untuk kehidupan seharai-hari untuk konsep biodiversitas tingkatspesies; (3) kearifan dalam menanam padi lokal untuk konsep biodiversitas pada tingkat genetika.Konten-konten tersebut selanjutnya dikembangkan untuk bahan ajar biologi konservasi dengan tujuanuntuk mengembangkan literasi konservasi. Prinsip-prinsip yang dikembangkan dalam bahan ajartersebut meliputi tujuan; nilai-nilai; konsep; ancaman dan tindakan konservasi terhadap biodiversitas.Hasil validasi ahli tentang kemampuan penyajian, materi dan penggunaan bahasa dalam bahan ajarmenunjukkan hasil yang baik dan layak digunakan, sedangkan uji coba keterbacaan menunjukkanhasil bahwa bahan ajar tersebut dapat membantu mahasiswa dalam memahami materi, meningkatkanketerampilan proses biodiversitas dan kepedulian terhadap lingkunga

    Implementation Of Varied Smoking Methods In The Process Of Katsuobushi (Woody Smoked Fish) Skipjack (Katsuowonus Pelamis)

    The aim of the research was to determine the effectiveness of smoking method implemented forproducing katsuobushi (woody smoked fish). The processes were distinguished into two methods, namely: liquid smoking (Pc) and traditional smoking (Pt). Skipjack katsuobushi produced were then evaluated for their quality, including: the value of organoleptic, the value of pH, the content of moisture, acids, and phenols. The results showed that the quality of the katsuobushi produced by implementing the liquid smoking method was significantly different from that produced by implementing traditional smoking one. The value of the odor, flavor, and the content of moisture, phenols and acids, katsuobushi skipjack produced by liquid smoking methods were higher, whilst the value of colour and pH were lower and significantly different than those produced by implementing traditional smoking. Both kinds of katsuobushi skipjack were overgrown by fungi Aspergillus sp. and Penicillum sp. indifferent intensities. The growth intensity of the fungi on the surface of katsuobushi skipjack produced by implementing traditional smoking was higher than that produced by implementing liquidsmoking

    Architecture of an ancient house in Kampong’s Surabaya is one of the folk architecture creations in urban areas that grow and follow dynamics of urban development. In some of the city areas, this architecture is still sustainable for living space of city residents, especially for lower and middle class. Kampong as city villages has a high adaptability to development within the city so that it can adjust to future conditions efficiently. Cultures living in kampong require an appropriate strategy in associating with various limitations. However, limitation does not make a typical house in kampong uncomfortable and unlivable. Bioclimatic adaptation can be one of the strategies in development of typical ancient houses in kampong. It seems that typical ancient house in Surabaya City is influenced by tradition and style of Javanese, Colonial and Modern Architecture. Bioclimatic strategy is a design approach that considers the relationship of architecture to climate, biology, technology, in order to obtain comfort and energy efficiency. The form and performance of ancient house architecture in Surabaya City with a bioclimatic approach with occupant spatial interaction is an interesting topic for this study. This study uses quantitative and qualitative research which is descriptive research using field study and description method to explain the interaction between building and its occupant that creates architecture of residential houses and its transformation.     Biodiversitas dan Potensi Jamur Basidomycota di Kawasan Kasepuhan Cisungsang, Kabupaten Lebak, Banten

    Biodiversitas jamur Basidiomycota di kawasan konservasi Taman Nasional Gunung Halimun Salak (TNGHS) yang terletak di Kabupaten Lebak, Provinsi Banten, belum pernah diteliti sebelumnya. Kawasan konservasi tersebut dihuni oleh masyarakat adat dari Kasepuhan Cisungsang, yang selama ini memanfaatkan jamur dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini mengeks-plorasi keanekaragaman jamur Basidiomycota dan pemanfaatannya oleh masyarakat adat Kasepuhan Cisungsang. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Maret-Mei 2016. Sebanyak 34 spesies dari 21 marga, 16 keluarga, dan 5 bangsa dari jamur Basidiomycota berhasil ditemukan di daerah sawah, pekarangan, kebun, talun atau dudukan, dan hutan. Tujuh marga yang ditemukan diketahui dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai sumber makanan, yaitu supa ceuli (Auricularia sp.); supa amis (Marasmiellus sp.); supa beas (Coprinus sp.); supa tiram (Pleurotus sp.); supa jerami (Volvariella sp.); suung tunggal (Termitomyce sp.); dan supa kebo (Boletus sp.). Data ini menunjukkan tingginya biodiversitas jamur Basidiomycota di daerah masyarakat adat wilayah ini dan potensinya sebagai sumber makanan

    Soil Arthropod Diversity and Composition Inhabited Various Habitats in Universitas Brawijaya Forest in Malang East Java Indonesia

    A study on soil arthropod abundance, diversity and composition have been done on November 2016 to March 2017 using pitfall traps. The objective of this study is to analyze variations of the soil arthropod abundance, diversity and composition among different habitats in a university forest. The study was carried out in Universitas Brawijaya Forest (UBF) Malang, East Java (7°49'S, 112°34'E, 1,200 m in altitude), consisted of four locations: an agroforestry (AF), a gallery forest (GF), the pine stands (PS) and a settlement yard (SY). At each site, a total of 10 traps (5 by 2 rows) were placed systematically at 4-m intervals. Glass cups (10 cm in diameter and 7 cm deep) were buried in the ground during 24 hours. There were 2286 individuals of arthropod collected from all sampling locations. Overall the samples collected consist of 41 families of arthropods. The abundance (mean ± SE) of soil arthropod was highest in PS and the lowest in SY. Statistically, variations in abundance among locations were significant (F = 7.39, p < 0.01). The taxa richness of arthropod was highest in GF and the lowest in SY. Statistically, variations in taxa richness among locations were significant (F = 4.26, p < 0.05). The diversity was the highest in the GF (1.9 ± 0.1) lowest in the SY (0.74 ± 0.1). Statistically, variations in diversity among study sites were significant (F = 26.73, p < 0.001). In general, scavenger dominated the composition of soil arthropods. The highest proportion of scavenger abundance present in SY was 84.9%, while the lowest in the GF was 29.3%. The highest litter transformer composition in GF was 33.9%, and the lowest in SY was 8%. The highest decomposer in PS was 26.9% and the lowest in AF was 12.9%. The highest predator in AF was 20.7% and the lowest in SY was 1%. Compositions of soil arthropod were affected by environmental factors such as soil temperature and light intensity
