Brain growth starts from prenatal period and ends at 2 years old. Fish contains protein, omega-3 and omega-6 Which are important for brain and cognitive development on children. The aim of this study was to investigate any correlation between fish consumption and cognitive development in children aged 12-23 months at Gandus sub district, Palembang. 106 children aged 12-23 months were selected using purposive sampling method in this cross-sectional study. Data on children and family characteristic were collected. Mother's allocation time for their children were collected by interview using stucture questionnaires. Data on cognitive develop-ment were collected by testing subjects using Mental Development Index (MDI) of Bayley's Scale for Infant Development (BSID) II. Dietary intake data were collected 2 days 24 hour food recall and Food Frequency Questionnaire (FFQ). There were no correlation between mother's allocation time for their children, fish food consumption, and child cognitive development. There were negative correlation among daily energy, protein and energy, protein contribution from fish with cognitive development of children under two years respectively. Energy from fish contributedto 14,5% score of cognitive development of the children There were negative correlation between fish consumption and cognitive development of children under two years. Keywords: fish consumption, cognitive development, children under two years, Gandus sub District, Palembang

Strategic issues in dam operation and maintenance are important to meet domestic water needs and the study was conducted by the Dam Operational Improvement and Safety Project (DOISP) in two phases. DOISP Phase I was established to continue the Dam Safety Program with the focus on the operational improvement and the safety of dams. The Dam Operational Improvement and Safety Project Phase II (DOISP Phase II) is a continuation of DOISP Phase I that previously has provided support to the completion of remedial and rehabilitation works and operational and safety improvement of 34 dams owned the Ministry of Public Works and Housing (MPWH) as well as the preparation of various guidelines which relate to the dam management operation. Strategic issues in operation and maintenance are prepared in 2020-2024, strategic plan by the Directorate of Water Resources and Irrigation (Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas). Planning based on strategic issues in operation and maintenance is important because a dam and reservoir can support hydropower, navigation, recreation, flood control, irrigation, and water supply, with each multipurpose benefit having a significant social and economic impact at the local level, regional and national

Syndromic treatment of gonococcal and chlamydial infections in women seeking primary care for the genital discharge syndrome: decision-making.

The syndromic treatment of gonococcal and chlamydial infections in women seeking primary care in clinics where resources are scarce, as recommended by WHO and implemented in many developing countries, necessitates a balance to be struck between overtreatment and undertreatment. The present paper identifies factors that are relevant to the selection of specific strategies for syndromic treatment in the above circumstances. Among them are the general aspects of decision-making and caveats concerning the rational decision-making approach. The positive and negative implications are outlined of providing or withholding treatment following a specific algorithm with a given accuracy to detect infection, i.e. sensitivity, specificity and predictive values. Other decision-making considerations that are identified are related to implementation and include the stability of risk factors with regard to time, space and the implementer, acceptability by stakeholders, and environmental constraints. There is a need to consider empirically developed treatment algorithms as a basis for policy discourse, to be evaluated together with the evidence, alternatives and arguments by the stakeholders
