    Death in Russian Soldiers Correspondence (1939-1945): Reactions, Reflection and Practices of Justification

    This paper analyzes soldiers' ruminations in their private correspondence about the death at war as an 'event' from the philosophical and anthropological perspective. It aims at recovering the value orientations and the moral principles, which are operative in their reflection about death. Conceptually, this research relies on the works of Petar Bojanić, Georg Simmel, Ivan Ilyin, Emmanuel Lévinas and Jürgen Habermas. The analysis focuses on the published letters of soldiers who took part in the Soviet-Finnish war (1939-1940) and the Great Patriotic War (1941-1945). These texts shed light on the perception of death at war, conceptualizations of the death-related moral experience, the impact of religion and ideology on soldiers' reflection on death. It should be noted that the existing practice of analysis of such documents puts the main emphasis on the values formed by the Soviet ideology neglecting the impact of religious culture. © 2021 Matica Srpska.     Invention of the future in project-time. An imaginary “encounter” between Georg Simmel and Henri Bergson, and its significance for architecture*

    The article addresses the reconstructed dialogue with the texts of G. Simmel (G. Simmel “Untersuchungen über die Formen der Vergesellschaftung”; “Über räumliche Projekten sozialer Formen”) and H. Bergson (H. Bergson “Histoire de l’idée de temps”) in order to analyze the question of how the design/creation of the future was understood by these philosophers, and how this question can be interpreted today. We would like to present some conditions and difficulties in revealing the future and the temporal nature of any project. First, we would like to insist on a weakness in languages spoken by a great number of people, which is that the future is difficult to linguistically stabilize and document: German and English do not have a future tense, using instead auxiliary verbs, “werden” (to become), “will”/be going to”. The study of the project as an intellectual (intention, idea, concept) and social phenomenon (design as a social action) allows us to illustrate how the future (project) becomes a task of activity in the present. The project transfers or shifts (Simmel) the future time to space which is always ready for the perception of projections, and is also an opportunity to organize future joint actions. We will argue that when the project is executed, when it is no longer — there is no longer any future. The project thus ensures the future. Or, to achieve complete circularity, we will introduce a third element: without the future, a group or a “we” cannot possibly exist. In our text, we would like to unreservedly insist that the idea of a project, or perhaps a sketch of any future theory of the project (or concept), has already been provided at the beginning of the last century within an imaginary encounter between Henri Bergson and Georg Simmel. © Санкт-Петербургский государственный университет, 202

    The subject. The impact of digital transformation on the foundations of the constitutional system, namely the possibility of its influence on their form, content and implementation system, has been studied in this article. The authors put forward a hypothesis about the formation of the principle of the digital state, which underlies the interaction of society and the state in the conditions of building a digital economy in Russia. Active implementation of this principle was observed during the COVID-19 pandemic. Also, the factors that can give an obvious and non-obvious impetus to the transformation of the constitutional identity of the foundations of the constitutional system are identified.The main functions of the constitutional principles are to preserve the stability of the foundations of the constitutional system and constitutional identity.     Automatic selection of a subset size at vector fields construction

    An algorithm for selection of the size of a correlation kernel at displacement vector field construction by the method of digital image correlation has been proposed. The algorithm has been tested on simulated and experimental optical images having different texture. The influence of the correlation kernel size and image texture on nose immunity at determining displacements has been studied. It is shown that the proposed algorithm allows to find this size providing the minimum error when determination of displacements and estimation of deformation

It was found that including autoantibodies to insulin, PAPP-A, and collagen into the analysis significantly improved the sensitivity and specificity of the prognosis and could be employed to form an intrauterine growth restriction (IUGR) risk group

    Functional Analysis of DNMT3A DNA Methyltransferase Mutations Reported in Patients with Acute Myeloid Leukemia

    In mammals, DNA methylation is necessary for the maintenance of genomic stability, gene expression regulation, and other processes. During malignant diseases progression, changes in both DNA methylation patterns and DNA methyltransferase (MTase) genes are observed. Human de novo MTase DNMT3A is most frequently mutated in acute myeloid leukemia (AML) with a striking prevalence of R882H mutation, which has been extensively studied. Here, we investigate the functional role of the missense mutations (S714C, R635W, R736H, R771L, P777R, and F752V) found in the catalytic domain of DNMT3A in AML patients. These were accordingly mutated in the murine Dnmt3a catalytic domain (S124C, R45W, R146H, R181L, P187R, and F162V) and in addition, one-site CpG-containing DNA substrates were used as a model system. The 3-15-fold decrease (S124C and P187R) or complete loss (F162V, R45W, and R146H) of Dnmt3a-CD methylation activity was observed. Remarkably, Pro 187 and Arg 146 are not located at or near the Dnmt3a functional motives. Regulatory protein Dnmt3L did not enhance the methylation activity of R45W, R146H, P187R, and F162V mutants. The key steps of the Dnmt3a-mediated methylation mechanism, including DNA binding and transient covalent intermediate formation, were examined. There was a complete loss of DNA-binding affinity for R45W located in the AdoMet binding region and for R146H. Dnmt3a mutants studied in vitro suggest functional impairment of DNMT3A during pathogenesis

    The RSVP in the study of visual image recognition dinamics by using a symbolic monochrome bitmaps

    In this paper provided a description of developing and using a software program which implements RSVP method. The program is applied for study the dynamics of visual stimuli recognition time. By the stimulus used a monochrome bitmaps of two letters from Russian alphabet. The program has shown as universal tool, which able to solve a wide range of research tasks. The results of experiments have shown that the time of recognition is increasing by the serial number of stimuli presentation. Extrapolated recognition time was statistically indistinguishable for all stimulus.В работе описывается разработка и применение специализированной программы, которая реализует метод RSVP. Программа применяется для изучения динамики времени распознавания визуальных стимулов наблюдателем. Стимульным материалом выступали растровые монохромные изображения двух букв русского алфавита в двух различных начертаниях. Программа показала себя как универсальный инструмент, способный помочь решить широкий круг исследовательских задач. Полученные результаты продемонстрировали увеличение времени распознавания с увеличением порядкового номера предъявления для всех предложенных стимулов, что по-видимому связано с нарастанием утомления. Экстраполированное начальное время распознавания оказалось статистически неразличимым

    The article presents an analysis of the results of a questionnaire survey of existing doctors of medical institutions in the city of Yekaterinburg and the Sverdlovsk region on vaccination. The level of knowledge of the main documents related to vaccination was analyzed at the subjective and objective levels. It was revealed that the subjective assessment of their own knowledge among a significant part of the respondents does not coincide with the real ideas about vaccination. The similarities and differences in the self-assessment of knowledge and attitudes towards vaccination of doctors of various ages and specialties are considered.В статье представлен анализ результатов анкетирования действующих врачей лечебно-профилактических учреждений города Екатеринбург и Свердловской области о вакцинопрофилактике. Проанализирован уровень знания основных документов, касающихся вакцинации, на субъективном и объективном уровнях. Выявлено, что субъективная оценка собственных знаний у значительной части респондентов не совпадает с реальными представлениями о вакцинации. Рассмотрены сходства и различия в самооценке знаний и отношения к вакцинации врачей различных возрастов и специальностей
