La comunicación de los diputados españoles a través de Internet

Although Internet appears like a space that can shorten the range between the citizenship and the political power, politicians have still not developed the possibilities that the cyberspace offers. In order to verify this situation we have investigated the form in which Spanish parliamentarians of the X legislature communicate through Internet, showing the peculiarities that the communication displays in each one of the studied virtual tools and concluding that the interaction degree that unfolds through this means is still enough low. Resumen: Aunque Internet se presenta como un espacio que puede disminuir la distancia entre la ciudadanía y el poder político, los políticos todavía no han desarrollado de forma adecuada las posibilidades que ofrece el ciberespacio. Para comprobar esta situación hemos investigado la forma en que los diputados españoles de la décima legislatura se comunican a través de Internet, mostrando las peculiaridades que presenta la comunicación en cada una de las herramientas virtuales estudiadas y concluyendo que el grado de interacción a través de este medio es todavía bastante bajo.Abstract: Although Internet appears like a space that can shorten the range between the citizenship and the political power, politicians have still not developed the possibilities that the cyberspace offers. El intelectual palestino-estadounidense Edward Wadie Said defendió la creación de un único Estado secular y democrático en el que pudieran convivir judíos y árabes palestinos. Esta interesante propuesta política se basaba en sus ideas teóricas sobre la relación entre la cultura occidental y Oriente. Como señaló en su famosa obra Orientalismo, la cultura occidental ha ido elaborando una noción cerrada y estereotipada de Oriente (irracional, exótico, diferente…) que le ha permitido desplegar un dominio militar, cultural y económico. Said se opone a esta visión reduccionista y defiende una peculiar perspectiva humanista que permita comprender los múltiples detalles que caracterizan a los diversos pueblos. Sólo desde un conocimiento detallado y profundo del otro, será posible alcanzar una auténtica convivencia entre las culturas y, en concreto, entre la nación árabe y el pueblo judío.The American intellectual Edward Wadie Said defended the creation of a single secular and democratic State in which Jews and Palestinian Arabs could live. This interesting policy proposal was based on his theoretical ideas about the relationship between Eastern and Western culture. As noted in his famous work Orientalism, Western culture has been preparing a closed and stereotyped East notion (irrational, exotic, different...) that has allowed it to deploy a military, cultural and economic domain. Said opposes this reductionist view and defends a peculiar perspective humanist allowing to understand the multiple details that characterize the various peoples. Only from a deep and detailed knowledge of the other, it will be possible to achieve a genuine coexistence among cultures and, in particular, between the Arab nation and the Jewish people
