    Law enforcement slang

The theses consider the use of informal language (slang) by certain social groups of people (the police). The popularity of the use of slang terms, idioms, abbreviations which sometimes have an offensive connotation has been determined. It is confirmed that slang determines the experience of generational culture and allows groups of people to communicate and understand each other

Information coding of exciting laser pulses in an optical echo-processor

We report the possibility of controlling the distribution of quantum bits within an inhomogeneously broadened line of a resonant transition in recording and transforming information in optical echo-processors. We consider the efficiency of realisation of the elementary logic XOR gate based on a two-pulse excitation of a resonant medium with phase memory. The encoded information is incorporated into the temporal shape of laser pulses in the form of amplitude modulation of an 'echelon' of present ('1') and absent ('0') pulse-codes for obtaining more efficient logic elements that reduce the noise in a quantum communication channel. © 2013 Kvantovaya Elektronika and Turpion Ltd

Information Processes in Optical Echo Holography

A set-theoretical method for studying information processes in resonant media with phase memory is developed. The conversion of the classical information carried by the object laser pulse into the potential (structural) quantum information of the resonant medium that takes place during the recording of a phase echo hologram is studied. It is shown that a resonant medium with phase memory stores quantum information in the form of an information-phase grating (the distribution of qubits within the inhomogeneously broadened line of a resonant transition). The temporal evolution of this grating is studied as a function of the times of reversible and irreversible relaxation of the system. © 2007 MAIK "Nauka/Interperiodica"

Copying quantum information in a three-level medium with a phase memory

A set-theory method of studying quantum information processes in multilevel resonant media with a phase memory is developed. Using an example of a three-level medium, we demonstrate the possibility of copying potential quantum information through its interaction with a certain sequence of laser pulses. The efficiency of copying quantum information as a function of the power of exciting laser pulses is investigated

GENETIC APPROACHES TO THE STATE CATEGORY

Abstract. The article analyzes various functional paradigms of the state, which will help to reveal the essential, organic aspect of a state-organized society existence. A state of any historical type implements itself in activity and, therefore, has a functional basis in which the unchanging is embodied that is inherent in it at all stages of evolution. Universal functions implement the essential characteristics of a state as an institutional expression of activities aimed at "common affair" solution. A functionally organized state embodies a certain type of activity that satisfies the need for self-preservation and purposeful organization. Therefore, the functional approach to the study of the state phenomenon allows us to reveal the most important properties belonging to all states, at any evolution stage in which the social purpose of the state as such and, ultimately, its objective (essential) and subjective meaning is manifested. Keywords: Functions of the State, Evolution of the State, Statehood, Political Society, Historical forms of the State, Еssence and legal nature of the State, State purpose

Studying Properties of Abnormal Human Brain Activity in Photosensitive Epilepsy Caused by Light Stimulation

© 2015 Springer Science+Business Media New York Fractal features of neuromagnetic activity of the cerebral cortex in photosensitive epilepsy (PSE) before and after exposure to light flickering stimulus were studied. It was found that the dynamics of magnetoencephalographic signals of the PSE patient is characterized by higher values of the fractal index than in the control group. The most significant differences are revealed for the parietal, occipital, frontal, left parietal, and left temporal regions of the brain. Switching the stimulus led to a large-scale reaction of various regions of the cortex in the control group, while the patients showed a localized response
