INFLUENCE OF ENEMY AND FRIENDSHIP ON MEGAMIND’S PERSONALITY IN TOM MCGRATH’S MEGAMIND (2010): A BEHAVIORIST APPROACH

The study is to reveal how the influence of enemy and friendship of the major characters, Megamind. The objective of the study is to analyze the movie based on the structural analysis and the behaviorist approach. This study is a qualitative study. The object of the study is Tom McGrath’s Megamind. The data sources are divided into two, namely primary data source and secondary data source. In collecting the data, the writer watches the movie and uses library research by collecting and selecting the appropriate data from many sources. The technique of the data analysis, the writer uses descriptive technique. After analyzing the movie of Tom McGrath’s Megamind, the writer concluded that there are several aspects of behaviorist theory of the major character. The aspects consist of positive and negative reinforcement on Megamind’s personality and the source of behavior on Megamind’s personality that consist of environment, modeling and learning process. Megamind has integrity and he will always be evil and fights the good. But, his nature of being evil can be changed because of the influences of environment, modeling or imitating other and shaping personality through learning the other where he lives. That what makes Megamind from being evil turns to be a good person and he feels more comfortable in his new life

The Difficulties in Indonesian-English Translation on the Sixth Semester of the English Education Study Program of Muhammadiyah Kotabumi University: A Case Study

Translation is a skill in the process of replacing a message or written statement from one language with a message and statement of the same in another language, where the message and statement conveyed from the source language must be the same as the target language. In fact there are several aspects of difficulties that make students’ difficulties in translation. Those aspects are lexical, grammatical, and stylistic difficulties. The objectives of this research are (1) to describe the difficulties in translating Indonesian-English on the sixth semester students of English education study program of Muhammadiyah Kotabumi University, and (2) to find out the difficulties dominate in translating Indonesian-English on the sixth semester students of English education study program of Muhammadiyah Kotabumi University. The method will be used is qualitative case study method. The researchers will use sampling techniques to get the information and data which is needed by the researchers. Purposive sampling is a sampling technique with certain considerations. In this case the researchers take 6 students who got low score of translating Indonesian-English as subject of the research. On the effective lagrangian in spinor electrodynamics with added violation of Lorentz and CPT symmetries

We consider quantum electrodynamics with additional coupling of spinor fields to the space-time independent axial vector violating both Lorentz and CPT symmetries. The Fock-Schwinger proper time method is used to calculate the one-loop effective action up to the second order in the axial vector and to all orders in the space-time independent electromagnetic field strength. CORRECTIVE FEEDBACK AND THE DEVELOPMENT IN WRITING A PARAGRAPH AT THE SECOND SEMESTER STUDENTS OF MUHAMMADIYAH KOTABUMI UNIVERSITY

Corrective feedback is the most common ways of written feedback that usually used by lecturer to correct the mistakes of the students' writing and improve students' language accuracy in their writing tasks. Giving correction can be done by orally or written. It will inform about the errors of thestudents' writing especially a paragraph by Direct or Indirecrt corrective feedback. Furthermore, it also can encourage the students to improve their writing paragraph. The aims of the research are to investigate the types of corrective feedback that the lecturer provided in students' writing a paragraph, to investigate the students' development in writing a paragraph after receiving corrective feedback, and to investigate the dominant of corrective feedback that the lecturer provided in students' writing. This research employed qualitative research that examined 10 students in second semester of Muhammadiyah Kotabumi University. The instrument used was students' writing a paragraph. The result of this research showed that lecturer used both direct and indirect corrective feedbacks. It found that direct corrective feedback is more dominant than indirect corrective feedback. Moreover, it was also found that there were some improvements in their second written text after corrective feedback was given. PENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR MATEMATIKA MELALUI METODE TALKING STICK PADA SISWA KELAS VIII MTs MAÂ’ARIF AL-FALAH BAOSAN LOR NGRAYUN TAHUN PELAJARAN 2011/2012

Permasalahan yang menjadi rahasia umum di dunia pendidikan kita adalah hasil belajar matematika siswa yang relatif rendah. Rendahnya hasil belajar matematika disebabkan karena aktivitas dalam pembelajaran matematika masih sangat rendah. Siswa jarang sekali mengajukan pertanyaan walaupun guru telah memancing dengan pertanyaan-pertanyaan yang sekiranya siswa belum jelas. Kurangnya aktivitas siswa di dalam kelas karena penggunaan metode mengajar yang tidak sesuai atau kurang tepat sehingga siswa tidak dapat dengan mudah memahami dan menguasai materi yang disampaikan. Agar kegiatan belajar mengajar berlangsung secara efektif, kreatif, aktif dan menyenangkan maka guru harus pandai dalam memilih metode pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan materi yang akan diajarkan. Keberhasilan siswa akan banyak bergantung kepada metode yang digunakan oleh guru. Guru juga diharapkan mampu membangkitkan aktivitas belajar siswa serta mampu membuat siswa lebih memahami materi yang disampaikan. Salah satu metode pembelajaran yang dapat membuat siswa lebih aktif adalah metode pembelajaran talking stick. Investigation of the tip-leakage losses in turbine axial stages

In turbomachinery, an influence of a tip-leakage flow on overall blade loss is crucial and its reduction is still worth striving for. In this paper a numerical analysis of the flow in tip seal of high-rotating gas turbine engine has been made. This analysis is a part of experimental research for testing the commercially used different tip seals solutions. Described test rig is predicted to be an universal tool for developing and examining different configurations of turbine blade tips. Presented numerical analysis is used to predict physical phenomena that may affect the rotor blade performance. In the numerical investigation the commercial Ansys CFX software was employed. The most important parameters were: mass flow rate at the inlet and outlet of the test bench, pressure and velocity distribution and the air temperature growth above the rotor. Also, an influence of test rig inlet and outlet geometry on flow uniformity was investigated. During the analysis the attention was focused also on minimizing the turbulence intensity in outlet area, that could cause significant difficulties in flow and stable work of the machine – generated eddies contributes to lower the mass flow rate

DAMPAK KEKOSONGAN KEPALA DESA TERHADAP KINERJA PERANGKAT DESA (Studi Kasus di Desa Winong Kecamatan Jetis Kabupaten Ponorogo Tahun 2015)

Kata Kunci: Kepala Desa,Kinerja,Perangkat Desa. Kepala Desa adalah aparatur pemerintah yang terdepan sebagai ujung tombak pemerintahan negara dan mempunyai wewenang atas kinerja perangkat desa untuk pencapaian pelaksanaan suatu kegiatan atau program dengan hasil seperti yang diharapkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dampak kekosongan kepala desa terhadap kinerja perangkat desa di Desa Winong Kecamatan Jetis Kabupaten Ponorogo. Penelitian ini mengguanakan jenis penelitian kualitatif, yang difokuskan bagaimana dampak kekosongan kepala desa terhadap kinerja perangkat desa di Desa Winong Kecamatan Jetis Kabupaten Ponorogo. Teknik pegumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitin ini adalah observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Sedangkan teknik analisis datanya menggunakan reduksi data, penyajian data, kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini adalah kinerja yang dilakukan oleh perangkat Desa Winong Kecamatan Jetis Kabupaten Ponorogo dalam pelaksanaan tugasnya sudah bisa dinilai baik, kinerja perangkat desa terstruktur dengan baik, ini sesuai dengan tugas para aparat desa yang sudah sesuai dengan perannya masing-masing. Perangkat desa memberikan pelayanan yang sangat memuaskan, untuk itu para warga masyarakat dengan mudah mendapatkan apa yang dibutuhkan. Pemerintah desa tetap memprioritaskan kinerja yang baik dalam menjalankan tugasnya., desa masih tetap bisa berjalan dengan lancar selayaknya desa tersebut mempunyai pimpinan yang definitif Kinerja perangkat desa disini tetap mengutamakan kualitas sehingga pelayanan publik dapat memenuhi kebutuhan masyarakat secara cepat , efektif dan akuntabel. Saran yang dapat peneliti berikan adalah segera mencari figur seorang pemimpin yang definitif, sehingga Desa Winong Kecamatan Jetis Kabupaten Ponorogo tidak terus menerus mengalami kekosongan jabatan Kepala Desa
