    A Novel Algorithm of Distance Calculation Based-on Grid-Edge-Depth-Map and Gyroscope for Visually-Impaired

    This paper presented a new algorithm for determining the distance of an object in front of a stereo camera placed on a helmet. By using a stereo camera with a Sum of Absolute Difference with a Sobel edge detector, our previous Grid-Edge-Depth map algorithm could calculate the objects’ distance up to 500 cm. The problem started when a vision disability person used the device with an unfixed stereo camera angle. The unspecified angle caused by the helmet’s movement influenced the distance calculation result. This novel process started with calculating the distance from a Grid-Edge-Depth map considering unfixed angle data of the x-axis from a gyroscope sensor placed on the stereo camera using the trigonometry formula. The angle data used was the x-axis data. The distance measurement results by the system were then computed based on the unfixed angle compared to the actual distance. The test was carried out with three scenarios which required the user to stand at a distance of 100 cm, 125 cm, and 150 cm from a table, chair, or wall, with 30 tests for each scenario. The test results showed an average accuracy of 96.05% with three experimental scenarios, which meant that this machine was feasible to implement

    IDENTIFIKASI PARASIT MALARIA PLASMODIUM FALCIPARUM PADA SEDIAAN DARAH DENGAN PENDEKATAN SUPPORT VECTOR MACHINE

    Background: Identification of malaria is microscopic requiring special expertise and experience considerable health analyst. Factor errors that occur can be either an inability to recognize the parasite morphology and eyestrain factors in looking at morphology, this may impactthe diagnosis of significant errors. Morphology of Plasmodium falciparum is divided into three major stages: trophozoites, Schizonts and Gametocyter. From the results of research in the field of health shows, Schizonts found in peripheral blood showed a state of severe infections so it is an indication for rapid treatment measures. This study aims to identify the three-stage form of Plasmodium falciparum malaria parasites in digital images of blood preparationswhich contain the parasite indicated.Method: Before conducting the identification process, the first step of the analysis procedure conducted in this study is to conduct the separation of the object by using the segmentation k-means clustering. The second step, to extract features of image data to be tested. Feature extraction is used as an insert in the system to be constructed in this study using color features. The final step is to identify three forms of identification test stage of the malaria parasite plasmodium falciparum using a Support Vector Machine (SVM) method multiclass ones against ones.Result: The results of this study using color as a characteristic feature of the input and identification using SVM can provide a success rate of 93.33% image data correctly.Keywords: malaria, Plasmodium falciparum Morphology, k-means clustering, SVM multiclass method ones against ones

    PENGEMBANGAN MODELPEMBELAJARAN SISTEM BASIS DATA BERBASIS COMPUTER ASSISTED INSTRUCTION

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan model pembelajaran Sistem Basis Data berbasis Computer Assisted Instruction dengan menggunakan kombinasi model Tutorial dan model Drill and Parctice. Metodologi yang digunakan merupakan gabungan antara model penelitian dan pengembangan Borg and Gall dan model Dick and Carey dan model CAI pada tahapan strategi pembelajaran. Tahap awal penelitian menggunakan model penelitian Research and Development yang di usulkan oleh Gall, yaitu research and information collecting. Tahap selanjutnya mengikuti tahapan-tahapan dalam model pengembangan desain pembelajaran yang dikemukakan Dick and Carey. Instrumen penelitian dirancang mengacu pada prosedur evaluasi formatif, yang terdiri atas: instrumen untuk validasi ahli, evaluasi mahasiswa satu-satu, kelompok kecil, dan uji coba lapangan. Pengujian penelitian menggunakan uji efektivitas, dengan membandingkan hasil rerata pretest dan hasil rerata posttest. Validasi para ahli terhadap model pembelajaran yang dikembangkan menghasilkan kesimpulan sangat baik dengan nilai rerata 5, sedangkan rerata tingkat penguasaan mahasiswa pada bidang kompetensi tertentu berdasarkan hasil tes formatif pada evaluasi field trial mencapai 82,76%. Adapaun hasil belajar 29 mahasiswa yang diuji menunjukkan nilai rerata pretest sebesar 43,69 (6,90% mahasiswa dapat mencapai ketuntasan dari total siswa yang diuji), dan nilai rerata posttest sebesar 75,21 (79,31% mahasiswa dapat mencapai ketuntasan dari total mahasiswa yang diuji). Ini menunjukkan ada peningkatan nilai hasil belajar rerata sebesar 31,52, dan peningkatan pencapaian ketuntasan rerata sebesar 72,41%. Hasil-hasil pengujian yang dilakukan tersebut menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran Sistem Basis Data berbasis CAI yang dikembangkan, efektif digunakan dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar mahasiswa. Kata Kunci: Pengembangan Model Pembelajaran, Sistem Basis Data, Computer Assisted Instruction ********** This study aims to develop a Computer Assisted Instruction-based Database System learning model using a combination of the Tutorial model and the Drill and Parctice model. The methodology used is a combination of the Borg and Gall research and development model and the Dick and Carey model and the CAI model at the learning strategy stage. The initial stage of the research used the Research and Development research model proposed by Gall, namely research and information collecting. The next stage follows the stages in the learning design development model proposed by Dick and Carey. The research instrument was designed referring to the formative evaluation procedure, which consists of: instruments for expert validation, one-on-one student evaluations, small groups, and field trials. The research test used the effectiveness test, by comparing the mean pretest and posttest mean results. Expert validation of the developed learning model resulted in very good conclusions with a mean value of 5, while the average level of student mastery in certain competency areas based on the results of formative tests on the evaluation of the field trial reached 82.76%. As for the learning outcomes of 29 students tested, the pretest mean score was 43.69 (6.90% of students could achieve completeness from the total tested students), and the posttest mean score was 75.21 (79.31% of students could achieve completeness of the total students being tested). This shows that there is an increase in the mean value of learning outcomes of 31.52, and an increase in the average completeness achievement of 72.41%. The results of the tests carried out indicate that the CAI-based learning model developed by the CAI is effective in improving student learning outcomes.     Increased Ability of Legal Solution in the Prevention of Promiscuous Sex Outside of Marriage

    Promiscuous sex behavior in marriage is customary law and religious law is deviant deviant acts. However, the Criminal Code, cannot be held accountable to all perpetrators, except only those who are still bound by marriage. This, both directly and indirectly, leads to the appearance of adolescent or adult-free sex behavior during voluntary. Promiscuous sex behavior negatively affects the fabric of society; and can be the cause of the spread of Sexually Transmitted Diseases, increase unwanted pregnancies, and the birth of children outside of marriage. Therefore, it is very important to conduct research to find legal solutions in an effort to prevent promiscuous sexual behavior. This research is qualitative normative research with a legal approach and a conceptual approach in the related legal field. The results showed that Article 284 of the Criminal Code which regulates ineffective extramarital intercourse (free sex) has been revised with the new Article 411 of the Criminal Code so that it has become a legal solution that contains the principle of legal certainty and legal expediency in preventing free sex behavior.     Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan Lembar Kerja Siswa berbasis POE (Predict, Observe, Explain) untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa SMP dengan kategori valid, praktis dan efektif. Jenis penelitian ini adalah pengembangan dengan model pengembangan ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Penelitan dilakukan kepada 30 siswa kelas VII MTs. Darussa’adah. Instrumen yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah lembar validasi oleh ahli materi dan evaluasi pembelarajan untuk mengetahui validitas LKS berbasis POE, angket respon siswa untuk mengetahui kepraktisan LKS berbasis POE serta lembar pretest dan posttest untuk mengetahui keefektifan LKS berbasis POE. Hasil penelitian diperoleh (1) Validasi oleh ahli materi dan evaluasi pembelajaran menyatakan LKS berbasis POE termasuk dalam kategori Sangat Valid dan layak diuji coba. (2) Berdasarkan hasil analisis N-Gain mendapatkan persentase 71,327 % dan analisis ketuntasan belajar klasikal sebesar 80 % menunjukan adanya peningkatan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa.     The implementation of government leadership based on culture is one solution to overcome  the leadership crisis in Indonesia. This type of research uses this type of empirical legal research by pin pointing the research site in Baubau city. The data sources used are primary data and secondary data. Data collection techniques using interviews and literature studies. The results showed that the implementation in the system of government and daily life is an effective and appropriate step, moreover Buton is an area that has a history of sultanate that has long lived with local cultural values, namely Pomaa Masiaka means always living caring for each other and loving each other, Popia-Piara means always living to care for each other. Pomae-Maeka means always glorifying each other, Poangka-Angkataka means mutual respect, and Pobinci-Binciki Kuli pinching each other's skin is an allusion to painful deeds. While Polima is able to be a solution to improve various aspects of life in society because complex cultural values are able to answer the problems that occur now such as corruption, collusion, nepotism, violence, and social problems such as lazy to    know the surrounding environment, not mutual respect, and other problems.
