Нетипові питальні речення як інструмент психолінгвістичної маніпуляції в англійській мові

У статті розглядаються принципи маніпуляційної дії на адресата нетипових питальних речень в англійській мові. Проаналізовано маніпуляційний потенціал різних груп питально-спонукальних речень, риторичних запитань. Встановлено, що нетипові питальні речення можуть впливати на діяльнісну та емоційну поведінку адресата за умови відповідних прагматичних характеристик комунікативного акту, а також у виборі того чи іншого виду нетипового питального речення вагомим чинником є загальний контекст спілкування.The article deals with the principles of manipulating action of the untypical interrogative sentences on a recipient in the English language. The author analyzed the manipulating potential of the different groups of imperative interrogatives, rhetorical questions. The high manipulating potential of the sentences under analysis gives the opportunity to use the given speech instrument for public opinion shaping. The study of the effect of different types of interrogative sentences with secondary functions on the activity and emotional evaluation of a recipient is crucial for today's needs and perspectives of linguistic communication, for improvement of the verbal communication culture. Interrogative sentence is intentional verbal means of communication used by the speaker to implement their communicative intention, and therefore meets the fundamental principle of verbal manipulation - purposefulness. Variations of atypical communicative functions of interrogative sentences play an important role in regulating the nature of the relationship of communicators and creating a favorable atmosphere of polite communication in specific situations. It is ascertained that the untypical interrogative sentences can influence the recipient’s operative and emotional behavior on condition that there are certain pragmatic characteristics of the communicative act. Ways Of Modality Rendering Of Atypical Interrogative Sentences In English And Ukrainian Discourses

В статті разглядаються способи передачі модальності нетипових питальних речень в англійському та українському дискурсах. В результаті транспозиції питальні речення можуть бути використані у вторинній функції,в такому випадку вони стають нетиповими питальними реченнями. В цьому виді речень за допомогою спеціальних мовних засобів виражається прагнення мовця щось дізнатися, у чомусь впевнитися, або спонукають співбесідника висловити думку з приводу того, що його цікавить. Автор статті робить спробу визначити основні особливості перекладу нетипових питальних речень на українску мову. Також проводитсья аналіз засобів передачі модальності нетипових питальних речень в англійському та українському дискурсах. При перекладі речень даного виду перкладач має використовувати в цільовому тексті речення, які виражають ідентичну з текстом оригіналу емоційну оцінку ситуації та комунікативну ціль, хоча лексико-граматична структура перекладених питань може відрізнятися від оригінального речення. Перекладачі можуть скористатися результатами досліджень в процесі перекладу текстів художніх творів.В статье рассмотрены способы передачи модальности нетипичных вопросительных предложений в английском и украинском дискурсах. В результате транспозиции вопросительные предложения могут быть использованы во вторичной функции и являются нетипичными вопросительными предложениями. В этом виде предложений посредством специальных языковых средств выражается стремление говорящего узнать что-нибудь, убедиться в чем-нибудь, или побуждают собеседника высказать мнение по поводу того, что его интересует. Автор статьи делает попытку определить основные особенности перевода нетипичных вопросительных предложений на украинский язык. Также проводится анализ средств передачи модальности нетипичных вопросительных предложений в английском и украинском дискурсах. При переводе предложений данного вида переводчик должен использовать в целевом тексте предложения, которые выражают идентичную с текстом оригинала эмоциональную оценку ситуации и коммуникативную цель, хотя лексико-грамматическая структура переведенных вопросов может отличаться от исходного предложения. Переводчики, возможно, воспользуются результатами исследования в процессе перевода текстов художественных произведений.The article deals with the ways of modality rendering of atypical interrogative sentences in English and Ukrainian discourses. As a result of transposition the interrogative sentences can be used in the secondary function and are atypical interrogative sentences. In this type of sentences by means of special language means the aspiration of the speaker is expressed, the aspiration to know something, make sure of something, or induce an interlocutor to express opinion, that interests him. The author of the article makes an attempt to determine the basic features of translation of atypical interrogative sentences into the Ukrainian language. The analysis of means of rendering modality of atypical interrogative sentences in English and Ukrainian discourses is also being made. While translating the sentences of such a kind the translator should use in the target text the sentences that express a similar emotional estimation of the situation and have the same communicative goal as the original sentence, although the lexico-grammatical structure of translated questions can differ from the original sentence. The translators may use the results of the research in the process of translating the texts of works of literature

Discourse of disease in Lesia Ukrainka’s epistolary

The article deals with peculiarities of a writer’s experience of long-term illness, the influence of the disease on rhythm, lifestyle and creativity, based on Lesia Ukrainka’s letters of 1883-1913 to relatives, friends, acquaintances, artists, and public figures. It is found out that the internal picture of the disease has been reflected in the letters with the help of the system of writer’s diverse experience, feelings, and emotions. According to the epistolary, Lesia Ukrainka perceived the disease as a yoke, captivity, which prevented her from being proactive, from taking an active part in cultural, artistic, publishing and translation activities. At the same time, the disease built up a discipline, purposefulness of the writer, who worked hard at her educational and intellectual level, in such way cognized her capabilities, outlining the prospects of creativity. The article reveals peculiarities of the disease, changes in the writer’s well-being, focuses on creativity as an active resistance to the disease, as a way of achieving self-esteem. The culture of work and rest, attention to the sick body, her scrupulosity in the performance of medical procedures contributed to the creation of acceptable conditions for creative work, which performed a therapeutic function in the life of the writer

THE RS1801282 PPARG POLYMORPHISM DEPENDENT METABOLIC EFFECTS OF PIOGLITAZONE IN PATIENTS WITH OBESITY AND CONCOMITANT NAFLD

The aim: to investigate the metabolic effects of different treatment options in patients with obesity and concomitant non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) based on the presence of CG and GG genotypes PPARG rs1801282 (Pro12Ala) polymorphism in Ukrainians. Materials and methods: 123 patients with NAFLD in combination with obesity 1, 2, 3 classes were included in the motivational weight loss program (5 visits, 3 months). The case group was treated with pioglitazone 15 mg / day, while the control group received only a program. Ultrasound steatometry, anthropometric and laboratory tests before and after treatment, genetic testing rs1801282 polymorphism in PPARG gene were performed. Results: the carriers of CG and GG genotypes PPARG rs1801282 polymorphism had less high stimulated insulin levels compared with groups of different genotypes (p<0.001). It was found pioglitazone effectiveness with significant difference in dynamics of CAP reduction (p<0.001) regardless of polymorphism. Dynamics of BMI decrease was the lowest in control group CC carries – –2.81 (–3.23; –2.39) kg (p<0.001) compared among other groups. Subjects from pioglitazone group with rs1801282 polymorphism carrying of CG and GG genotypes had significant differences in dynamics of fasting С-peptide decrease, serum uric acid reduction – –1.31 (–1.50; –1.13) µg/L and -165.3 (–182.80; –147.80) µmol/L (p<0.001) respectively compared among other groups. Conclusions: Better reduction of metabolic parameters during pioglitazone treatment of patients with obesity and concomitant NAFLD appears to be associated with carrying of CG and GG genotypes PPARG rs1801282 polymorphism
