The Analysis of Health Policy in the Border Area of West Kalimantan Indonesia
The health status of the people in the border areas with low economic level, especially in rural areas, has not received equitable health services optimally due to geographical location, infrastructure and social factor. Also, the border area with vast areas is still found the lack of facilities and support of health services that will make people in the border area is still low in accessing health care facilities. On the other hand, the health workers who are not willing to be placed in the border area has a significant influence, and that’s lowering the community health status. Problems of inequality health efforts in the border areas are caused by the socioeconomic status of the local community such as poverty so that they can’t access the health services. This study aimed to analyze the implementation of health policies in the border areas in West Kalimantan, Indonesia. This study is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach. This study is a literature study research. Health policy in the border area has not been able to overcome the problems of the spread of health workers in the border area. Policies on the health insurance system in the border areas are not distributed optimally. Policies on basic health infrastructure in border areas have not been equally distributed. Policies on referral transportation in border areas are not yet sufficient. The implementation of health policies in the border areas has not been fit for the purposes to increase health status for the community.

After asylum: Hermeneutic Composability in Former Refugee Narratives
In this study I examine a corpus of former refugee narratives published by the nonprofit Refugee Council of Australia (RCOA) on their website in 2011. In order to investigate the relationship between the constituent parts and the narrative as a whole, I use critical discourse analysis to examine the strategic use of person, quantified temporal phrases, broader thematic elements, and the constitution of “former refugee narrative” as a genre. I conclude that the RCOA dominates temporality and maintains authority over the narratives through specifically applied quantification yet captures the necessary subjective and emotional material of the refugee experience to achieve the authenticity the co-narratives need to be well-received by the public. Thus, by manipulating hermeneutic composability, the RCOA evidences an objective, authoritative portrayal yet captures a subjective experience worth telling, and by manipulating intertextual gaps they appeal to the Australian nationalism implicit in the contemporary political climate
Sitting Pressure-Mapping of the Buttocks Region of Elderly People Who Use Wheelchairs for Locomotion
Elderly people who spend multiple hours in a wheelchair are prone to skin breakdown of the buttock and leg regions. Pressure relief of these areas can help prevent skin breakdown and can be achieved through the use of a wheelchair cushion, weight shifting, and positioning. Strategies for effective pressure relief can be found for individuals by utilizing pressure-mapping technology.
The purpose of this study was to identify if elderly wheelchair-dependent nursing home residents (n = 6) had adequate pressure relief of the buttock and leg regions. Pressures at the buttock and leg regions were measured with the FSA Pressure-Mapping device under four conditions: the currently utilized cushion and air, gel, and honeycomb cushions. In addition, patient education with the residents addressed weight-shifting techniques and proper wheelchair positioning.
For the six subjects, there was no significant difference in pressure relief across the four pressure-reliving cushions tested. Graphing of the results demonstrated that individuals responded differently to the various cushions. Thus, the pressure-mapping device was helpful in identifying the cushion providing the best pressure relief for each individual subject and subjectively helped in identifying effective weight-shifting techniques and proper positioning in the wheelchair. Further research is needed to assess the long-term effectiveness of a pressure-mapping device for the prescription of wheelchair cushions and pressure-relief education in a nursing home setting
Evaluation of the Effect of High Oil Corn Diets on Lamb Performance
The availability of corn varieties with higher oil content may offer an advantage as feed stuffs for various species and classes of livestock. Higher oil content increases the energy density in the feed stuff, potentially leading to improved performance and/or efficiency of gain. Additional benefits suggested are dust reduction, reduced energy for processing and improved palatability. Most research to date has been with swine and poultry diets. The object of these trials was to evaluate the effect of high oil corn com pared to normal corn in pre-weaning and post-weaning diets for lambs
A Comparison of Fall vs Spring Lambing Performance of Hampshire and Columbia Ewes (Progress Report)
Seasonality of lamb production continues to be a major hurdle for the sheep industry. The lack of a continuous supply of fresh lamb impacts both the processing and retail segments of the industry. The seasonal fluctuation in supply and quality results in sporadic buying patterns by consumers and ultimately less shelf space and therefore less product in the meat case. Often lamb cuts are not available in retail outlets or only on a seasonal basis making sustained consumption levels difficult. In many cases seasonal production also results in inefficient use of facilities, labor and management for the producer. This study was initiated to evaluate the effectiveness of selection for fall lambing in a population of purebred Hampshire and Columbia sheep
Fall Lambing Performance of Purebred Columbia and Hampshire Ewes
This study was initiated to evaluate the performance of purebred Columbia and Hampshire ewes selected for a September-October once a year lambing system in a effort to provide a more continuous supply of lambs to the market
